Estee Lauder Advanced Time Zone Age Reversing Creme

Posted on March 31, 2013

I had one of those cards in my letterbox the other day when I came home from work, saying I had a parcel to collect from the post office. I couldn’t think what it could be as I hadn’t ordered anything. So off I go to the post office and look what I’ve been sent, a luxury 5ml sample of Estee Lauder Advanced Time Zone Age Reversing Line / Wrinkle Cream. Turns out I won it from Estee Lauder on Facebook – good times!

Estee Lauder Advanced Time Zone Age Reversing Crème

There wasnt too much information included with the product, just that it is for normal / combination skin. So I’ve googled it and found this:

Estee Lauder Advanced Time Zone Age Reversing Crème Normal to Combination SPF15. Look younger. Fast. This advanced crème helps rewind the appearance of ageing. Instantly skin feels softer, smoother. A fresher, more radiant, significantly less lined appearance is quickly revealed. Women say their skin looks younger and more beautiful. You will too. (*Based on consumer testing.)

  • Combination skin
  • Hydrating
  • Anti-ageing
  • Factor 15spf

As you would Expect from Estee Lauder, even for a sample, the product has a luxurious feel. The outer packaging speaks for itself, and the actual cream has a light, fresh scent, and feels dense and luxurious to touch. On first application my skin feels smooth and hydrated. Hopefully I will see further results after increased useage! xxx

OOTD and Competition Win!

Posted on March 24, 2013

Last week I was so excited to find out I’d won £130 of makeup in a competition from RVB Cosmetics, an Italian cosmetics company. I won the RVB Color Therapy New Classic Lip and Nail collection, which consists of 5 lipsticks and 5 nail polishes.

The lipsticks are numbered 1-5 (in order above) I haven’t tested them yet but number 5 is definitely my favourite at the moment. The cases feel of good quality, fingers crossed the lipsticks will be good quality too!

I love the nail polish colours, again numbered 1 – 5, I though as I was going out last night I’d give the polishes a test!

I was in a rush so only had time to do one coat, you can see the colours are very pigmented and opaque, I would have preferred two coats but think I just got away with one!

(also note to self, paint nails after putting on jewellery!)

I wore my new River Island (ebay) aztec jacket, vintage quilted bag and lots of jewellery!

Hope everyone has had a great weekend! xxx

H&M New Collections!

Posted on March 22, 2013

Well it looks like the peeps at H&M have been busy little bees lately. First they launch & Other Stories, (I have apparently, been living under a rock for a while because I hadn’t actually heard of this until recently) This store is, completely tres chic. I don’t think I could actually love it more. The styling and photography are innovative and really maximise the products potential; I find myself looking through the site piecing together imaginary outfits with accessories and bags, more so than I do with any other online store. The jewellery is one of my favourite departments on the site, I love the simple shapes, and bold, sculptural styles.

Rhinestone Ring, £12

Twin Chain Bracelet, £10

Pendant Bracelet, £17

Next we have the H&M Conscious Collection. This collection is part of H&M’s work towards a more sustainable future in fashion. This year’s collection is at the forefront of both fashion and sustainability and inspired by delicate floral prints and soft shades of green for spring. I particularly like the new Conscious Exclusive partywear range, which will be launched later this spring. This collection focusses on glamorous partywear in muted pastel shades.

Read more about the collection here.

Next we have the H&M New Icons Collection. This collection was created based on the street style of models Joan Smalls, Daphne Groeneveld, Lindsey Wixson and Liu Wen. I’m really looking forward to this collection, described as a 20-item capsule collection of fashion essentials, the range comprises a mixture of influences – taken from the individual styles of each girl – allowing shoppers to create their own model-off-duty look.

And finally, of course, Beyonce for H&M!! We’ve had Rihanna for River Island so it only makes sense for H&M to follow suit and pull out the Beyonce trump card! I was quite disappointed by the Rihanna collection, so hopefully Beyonce’s collection will be a bit more bootylicious!! 😀

Liebster Award!

Posted on March 21, 2013

I’ve just found out I’ve been nominated for the Liebster award by two lovely bloggers, Chrissy and Natasha, thank you so much!

“The Liebster Award is given to up and coming bloggers who have less than 200 followers. It’s a great way for new and undiscovered bloggers to meet new people, get more followers and find some blogs that they want to follow”

  1. List 11 facts about yourself
  2. Answer the 11 questions asked by the blogger who nominated you
  3. Ask 11 new questions for the bloggers you nominate
  4. Choose 11 new bloggers with less than 200 followers to nominate
  5. Let everyone know they’ve been picked

Here we go,

  1. I love goats cheese, goats cheese pizza is one of my favourite meals.
  2. I have three step sisters.
  3. I always wear odd socks. With the only exception being my christmas socks which I will only wear as a pair.
  4. I have a vast collection of wigs.
  5. I love bright colours and loud prints.
  6. I pretty much live on tea.
  7. I have a mole next to my belly button that looks like a coco pop.
  8. I’m not house trained, in the sense that I’m rubbish at cooking and cleaning.
  9. I don’t like wine, coffee or beer.
  10. Give me a kinder egg and I’ll be your best friend forever.
  11. I like high heels in theory, but I can’t actually walk in anything above 2 inches.

Questions from Chrissy:

1. What has been your bigger splurge so far? (Makeup or fashion) Hmm, I think the most I have ever spent on one makeup item would be a Bobbi Brown Palette, and the most on fashion would be a designer bag and I’m not saying how much!! 😉

If you could have one super power what would it be and why? I’d like to be able to fly, you could have so much fun!

If you could teleport anywhere in the world where would you go? Right now? To the pub! Otherwise somewhere lovely and exotic like Peru!

What’s your holy grail beauty product? Eyeliner. I never go without it. At the moment I’m using Tigi Bedhead Big Fat Fun Eyeliner, this is now discontinued so I bought about five of them when I could. I’ll be sad when the last one is used up and I have to find another brand.

What’s your favourite animal? A penguin.

What’s your favourite makeup brand? Overall, I’d probably say MAC, it’s good quality, a large range of products and colour options and reasonably priced.

When and why did you start blogging? On valentines day! I’d been thinking about it for a while but never had the courage, for some reason that day I thought I’d just do it!

What’s your biggest pet peeve about bloggers that you’ve noticed? One of my peeves is pointless posts, if you don’t have anything to say, just wait until you have!

How long does it take you to get ready in the morning? Not long, I shower in the evening as my toddler does not allow me to in the morning, so I just do a bit of eye makeup day to day and that’s me done. If I’m going out in the evening though it takes me a good couple of hours!

iPhone or Blackberry? Neither. Samsung for me.

What’s your favourite season? It used to be winter, I loved the idea of it being cold outside and you can get all snuggly in front of the fire with a hot drink. Now I am officially a driver, I hate the winter and I hate the cold! I’d probably say autumn is may favourite now.

I nominate:

My Questions:

1. If you could only wear one colour of nail polish for the rest of your life what would it be?

2. What’s your favourite biscuit?

3. Do you prefer a quiet night in or a big night out? And why?

4. Tell me a secret.

5. What are your three favourite songs and why?

6. Who is your celebrity pin up?

7. Tell me one thing you love about blogging.

8. What is your favourite fashion brand?

9. If you could have loads of different cheap clothes, or only a few quality expensive ones, which would you choose?

10. Are you a morning person or a night person?

11. What is your favourite makeup item?

Don’t forget to link me when you’ve done your post 🙂
