Date Night Outfit Wishlist!

Posted on September 30, 2013

Hi Guys!

Well, I can’t believe I’ve been a married woman for two weeks already, time really is going quickly at the moment! It’ll soon be Christmas! Now everything has settled down at home I’ve hit reality with a bump – back to chores and work now unfortunately for me. So now I’m ready to get back to having a life and having some FUN, rather than wedding planning and stressing constantly, which seemed to take over my life the closer I got to the wedding!

Me and Ollie haven’t been out together for ages, so, should I be taken out on a hot date by my lovely husband (hint HINT!) Ahem. (Maybe a fancy meal??) I’ve put together a nice little wishlist of some gorgeous bits from Debenhams that I would wear on said hot date. To accompany my fabulous outfit I would definitely need an equally fabulous perfume, Marc Jacobs Daisy Eau de Parfum Deluxe would be the perfect choice and is available at Debenhams!

I love this perfume and I’ve been lusting after it for ages, and now I finally I have my mitts on a bottle! Yes! I’ve been wanting this for ages and now it’s all mine! 😀 So now I just need to be taken out on that date, hint hint…

Here is my wish list!

Clockwise from top left –

  1. Closet Natural Cross Over Pocket Dress
  2. Star By Julien Macdonald Pave Crystal and Polished Gold Spike Drop Necklace
  3. Coast Rivi Resin Clutch
  4. Faith Bright Purple Suedette High Court Shoes
  5. DKNY Women’s Gold Crystal Bezel Bracelet Watch
  6. Marc Jacobs Daisy 50ml Eau De Parfum Deluxe

I’d love to hear what your favourite perfume is at the moment?

I hope you enjoyed my post! xxx

Willow & Clo Blogger Competition Win!

Posted on September 29, 2013

Hi Guys!

Last week I found out I’d won first prize in the Willow & Clo blogger competition! YAY!

Willow & Clo asked bloggers to create a mood board featuring items from their Soundwaves collection and also include your favourite quote, you can see my entry post and read more about the collection here.

So here is what I won! – My prize arrived in this lovely velvet pouch.

My prize was an item of my choice from the Soundwaves collection 🙂

I chose the ‘Shoot for the Moon’ necklace, which is engraved with the sound wave of ‘Shoot for the moon, even if you miss you will land amongst the stars’.

The engraving is very fine, I couldn’t capture it very well! It’s such a lovely idea though, and a pretty necklace, I’m proper chuffed!!

I’d love to hear if you’ve won any competitions lately?

I hope you enjoyed my post! xxx

Mint Aztec Dress OOTD!

Posted on September 28, 2013

Hi Guys!

Today I have a quick OOTD to share with you, I tried taking pics outside but it was so windy, my hair was going crazy and sticking in my lipgloss so I decided to shoot in the hallway!

My dress is from Peacocks, sadly sold out now, but they do have a similar aztec midi dress in stock! And my necklace is vintage. Also I’m wearing a new wig from Hothair, this will be on the blog later this week 🙂

I’m now about to sit down with my husband (feels weird saying that!) and have an Indian takeaway, nice! Hope you’re all having a great weekend!

I hope you enjoyed my post! xxx

Astrid & Miyu Secret Box Review (September)

Posted on September 25, 2013

Hi Guys!

So here is my review of my second Astrid & Miyu Secret Box! I know it’s a bit late but everything’s been set back a bit due to the wedding! You can check out my first review here.

I was so excited to receive my latest Astrid & Miyu box a couple of weeks ago, I love everything in it! As usual, everything is packaged to perfection in a pretty cream box and bow, and each item of jewellery comes in it’s own branded pouch. Astrid & Miyu have also included some extra cards on makeup and skincare tips.

Firstly I received the – Make Me Lucky Charm Necklace (£29) This is such a pretty delicate horseshoe necklace, it looks great layered and is easy to wear everyday.

Next is the Rosy Rock Ring (£49) This is a rose gold plated ring with two diamante encrusted skulls. I’ve been wearing this every day since receiving my box 🙂

How cool are the mini skulls!

And lastly I received the Wild Thing Bracelet (no longer available on site) (£49) The Wild Thing bracelet is a wraparound bracelet with pony skin style leather strap, and large gold studs.

So the value of my box totals £127, not bad for a £39 subscription! If you want to subscribe you can do so here. Have you subbed? I’d love to hear what you received in your September box!

Bomb Cosmetics Love Rocks Gift Set Review!

Posted on September 23, 2013

Hi Guys!

Today the lovely people at Gifts4Gifts have sent me a Bomb Cosmetics Love Rocks Gift Set* to review! I haven’t had a bath in ages (that sounds really gross doesn’t it!) Our bath doesn’t get very hot so I just use the shower 🙂 So I’m really looking forward to having a nice relaxing bath and trying these products out!

The gift set comes already wrapped in pretty paper and a bow, ready for you to give as a gift – or unwrap yourself!

Gifts4gifts bomb cosmetics

Inside there are five ‘love’ themed full sized items –

Summer of Love Blaster 160g (A strawberries and cream fragrance with vetivert and patchouli essential oils)
Love Buds Mallow 50g (With cocoa and shea butter, and rose and lavender essential oils)
Pink Rosebud Heart Blaster 100g (With vetiver and ylang ylang essential oils)
Feel the Love Creamer 30g (With cocoa butter, ylang ylang and rose essential oils)
Crazy Cupid Soap 100g (With lavender, chamomile and ylang ylang essential oils)

bath gift set

So I ran a bath – and added two kettles full of boiling water! And I used the Love Buds Bath Mallow. I had the most relaxing and lovely scented bath (with a g&t, just to add to the relaxation) the Mallow took a while to completely dissolve, but I like that, watching it rolling around and fizzing in the water 🙂

Bomb Cosmetics

Next up I think I’ll try the Feel The Love Creamer, I really like the sound of that one! For the price of £14.99 (making each product less than £3 if you count in the packaging) I think this gift set is fantastic value for money, as a treat for yourself or as a gift 🙂 xxx

NastyGal Sale Haul!

Posted on September 22, 2013

Hi Guys!

Today I have an awesome NastyGal sale haul to show you! These bits arrived a couple of weeks ago and I totally forgot to photograph everything to show you until now! NastyGal has to be one of my favourite stores, and when I say favourite, I mean I can happily waste away hours filling up my ‘tote’ with their awesome pieces. Unfortunately I never get to actually shop there as they are located in the US, I think the last time I bought from them online was a few years ago as shipping costs always put me off.

Then, last month they had a massive sale on, up to something like 90% off I think! So I thought it was about time I stocked up on some ‘essentials’ 🙂

I got some really good bargains – be warned though, I did receive a bill for import fees, luckily I made such good savings on the items to start with that I didn’t mind the fees so much. As I understand, you won’t always be charged fees, it just depends if your parcel is checked when it arrives in the country. I wasn’t aware of the fees as I’ve bought things internationally before and never been charged!

Anyway, here are the bits I bought! (I won’t link to everything as some items are sold out now)

trimmed cut out blouse

camilla tweed jacket

electric laced peplum top

infinite stud tote

This has to be my favourite item – the ‘Expensive Habits Clutch’ which is actually by Betsy Johnson, it was originally £56.42 down to £28.21.

Do you shop at NastyGal? I’d love to hear about your purchases!

I hope you enjoyed my post! 🙂 xxx

Bobbi Brown Palette

The Bobbi Brown Limited Edition Bellini Lip and Eye Pallette was available at Bobbi Brown last year, I remember seeing this and lusting after it! This is no longer available at Bobbi Brown but you can now buy it at Brandprix with 33% discount! Awesome!

The palette features –

  • Navajo Eye Shadow
  • Candlelight Gold Metallic Eye Shadow
  • Petal Shimmer Wash Eye Shadow
  • Cement Eye Shadow
  • Prosecco Metallic Eye Shadow
  • Truffle Eye Shadow
  • Bellini Shimmer Wash Eye Shadow

Bobbi Brown Bellini Review

The colours are stunning – the eyeshadows are the prefect mix of matte and shimmer nudes, fantastic for daytime, with one dark matte shade ‘Caviar’ so you can create a great smoky evening look.

The glosses are all natural light colours, with a couple of shimmers. This palette is so gorgeous, I can’t wait to try it out!

Bobbi Brown Lip gloss

The second item is a Clarins Limited Edition 3D Radiance Face Powder, this was released in 2011 and now available at Brandprix with a 33% discount also. It comes in a lovely velvet pouch. If you use Guerlain Meteroites this is very similar but I would say slightly better as there’s less sparkle!

I applied this using a large bronzer brush on top of my foundation. This compact offers a subtle, illuminising effect on the skin, it’s not sparkly which is good and definitely makes any imperfections on my skin appear softened. This is a great product for adding a hint of glow to your skin and a soft-focus look.

Clarins Face Powder Review

I really can’t recommend Brandprix enough for fantastic discounts on luxury goods, especially if you love high end beauty brands like I do!

I hope you enjoyed my post! xx
