You may have seen my recent shopping haul – in preparation for the current drought (as I’m on a spending ban for the month of April). So far it’s not much fun!! I’m determined to last till the end of the month though and if you follow me on Twitter you may have seen yesterday I was asking if any bloggers were interested in a beauty swap. I have loads of makeup and skincare products knocking around and I thought a great way to alleviate my shopping desires would be to swap with somebody – so we both have new goodies to play with! If you have anything you’d like to swap just drop me a line at firstname.lastname@example.org
Anyway I digress… I’ve only recently discovered Primark’s beauty rage, everything is cheap as chips so I thought I’d stock up on a few things 🙂 First up today is the nail polishes. They had a great range of colours on offer, the neon pink and magenta really caught my eye!
At £1 a bottle you can’t really get much cheaper, so I bought four colours – neon pink, bright magenta, light grey, and a kind of taupe brown colour. (The polishes don’t have their own names or numbers.)
The bottles are really good quality, they are a rectangular shape, with a large plastic pull off lid, and a smaller round ‘real’ screw off lid underneath. The only other polish I have that’s vaguely like this is my Chanel!
The colours of these polishes are fabulous – the neon pink is my favourite especially. The colour is so bright and opaque, I was really surprised as I didn’t expect them to be any good at all. The brush is also wide and easy to use. My only complaint would be the formula. As you can see it is a bit streaky and uneven. I used two coats which was plenty enough for full coverage. I would have much preferred Primark spent a bit more money on the formula and a bit less money on the packaging -they could have an amazing product here for only £1 a bottle!
Have you tried Primark nail polish?? I hope you enjoyed my review xxx
