So as promised, here are my Jo Malone goodies from my recent shopping trip!
Oh how I love Jo Malone, if you’ve never been to a store or counter you must go, NOW! You’ll never feel so pampered and treated. The staff there know their stuff, the products are to die for and just look at the packaging! Ok so let me rewind and start from the beginning. Due to my massive July spending ban (I say massive because it felt like forever) I desperately needed to buy myself something lovely just as a little pat on the back, a well done me type thing. I’ve been coveting everything Jo Malone for a long time, I only have one perfume, Tuberose Angelica which I absolutely love and I was desperate to try more!
I’d seen the fairly new Jo Malone concession at Jarrold Norwich when I went to their blogger event, and it’s just divine. Everywhere you look there’s cream with black edging, Jo Malone’s signature colours, it’s just so pristine and chic looking, you just feel like you’re surrounded by luxury! So I headed to Jo Malone with my chum with the idea that I wanted ‘something’ something summery and fresh, this is all I knew. Most of my perfumes are more evening suited or on the heavy side so I really wanted something a bit lighter for the summer. And so I told the lovely assistant this, who promptly sat me down and offered me a drink of water (served from a large glass jug, full of lemon slices, of course) She couldn’t have been more helpful. I told her what I was looking for, and that I actually really didn’t know what I was looking for, and she helped me choose my perfect fragrances!
She started off by presenting me with all the lighter scents, about eight if I remember rightly, I tried them all on tester strips and the bottles were pushed forward or back depending on my preference. I got it down to four that I liked! Then, as I said I already had Tuberose Angelica, I tired each of the scents paired with this, crossing over the tester strips so I could try them as if they were layered, which is a great idea as you’re effectively creating a new perfume by combining the two! I got it down to two perfumes this time, and couldn’t actually decide which I liked more so I bought 30ml bottles of both Peony & Blush Suede and Nectarine Blossom & Honey. 😀
Both of these smelled gorgeous on their own, and also paired with Tuberose Angelica, I couldn’t be happier!
And because the Jo Malone gang are such a lovely lot, they also gave me and my friend a couple of extra samples to try out, in their own tiny box and mini bag too, so cute!
I almost forgot, I also tried a sample of the brand new Wood Sage & Sea Salt, which is being released in September, I can’t wait to get my hands on a bottle!
I’d love to hear if you’ve had the Jo Malone experience?
I hope you enjoyed my post! xxx
