Happy Bank Holiday Guys!
The brand La Prairie is the epitome of luxury when it comes to skincare, as well as being at the forefront of anti-ageing technology – and boy have I got the big daddy of serums to show you today. I have to say I feel really lucky and privileged to be able to try this product out! So let me introduce, La Prairie’s Anti-Aging Rapid Response Booster…
The Anti-Aging Rapid Response Booster is described as La Prairie’s most accelerated wrinkle interceptor yet. IT INTERCEPTS WRINKLES! Offering a revolutionary delivery system that specifically targets the cells that make skin look younger with precision and speed, to deliver anti-wrinkle ingredients exactly where your skin needs them most.
This product comes with some pretty massive claims – it promises to reduce wrinkle depth and volume to give you beautiful, visibly younger-looking skin with only two weeks of use. It’s supposed to help control the evolution of skin aging, recovering hydration and reduce the appearance of deep wrinkles, whilst exfoliating to refine skin and minimize the look of imperfections including wrinkles and enlarged pores.
I really hope this actually works. Coming in at £195 for a 50ml bottle, this product has a lot to live up to.
The product itself is a light serum, with a luxuriously silky smooth texture. It has a subtle pleasant scent, and to use, you smooth one or two drops over the face and neck after cleansing and toning, but before you apply your moisturiser.
As I said previously, La Prairie is one of the main pioneers when it comes to anti-ageing products, and their Rapid Response Booster Serum is jam packed full of active ingredients to specifically target the signs of ageing.
To fight wrinkles, the targeted delivery system transports anti-wrinkle peptides exactly where needed, the peptides are then released to fortify the skin which reduces the appearance of lines and wrinkles and reinforces skin’s barrier protection.
Plankton extract, a marine element, improves exfoliation for smoother, softer skin with fewer visible pores, and a natural texturizing blend of jojoba, mimosa, and sunflower waxes refines and helps reduce trans-epidermal water loss.
The Rapid Response Booster Serum also boasts a high weight and low weight sodium hyaluronate to attract and hold moisture, the herbal brightening complex inhibits excess pigmentation, and the silver vine complex improves skin’s translucency.
There really is so much technology packed into this little bottle (seriously this is only the half of it! I had to cut it down but do check out the link at the end of the post for full details) it’s hardly surprising it’s so expensive!
I’ve been using this for just about 2 weeks now, and I have to say it is fabulous. I’ve used quite a few serums in my time, and this definitely has something special about it. It feels beautifully luxurious to apply, and I think when you have a product like this with big claims and a high price tag, it really has to work – otherwise you’re going to have a lot of unhappy customers. I don’t have any wrinkles yet as such, but I have noticed the fine lines on my forehead seem to be less prominent, and my overall complexion is definitely brighter and more radiant. My husband said I’ve been looking ‘well’ and even that my skin looks ‘better’ lately so I think I have this serum to thank!
The La Prairie Anti-Aging Rapid Response Booster is available now from John Lewis.
I hope you enjoyed my post xxx

I am not too knowledgeable about beauty products, but this sounds good, although it’s a bit expensive. I have never used anti-aging products so far because I don’t think I need them yet.
