Fragrance: Olfactive Studio Still Life in Rio

Hi Guys!

I literally cannot get enough of niche fragrances right now, and my latest discovery is Olfactive Studio’s brand new Still Life in Rio

As you’re probably aware, fragrances don’t just appear as if by magic – they have to start somewhere, and are usually inspired by something, someone, or some place. This is the first time Olfactive Studio has created a fragrance in direct response to an image – Still Life in Rio brings photography and perfumery together in harmony, in order to capture a perfect moment in time.

Taken by Brazilian photographer Flavio Veloso, the picture captures Rio’s beauty at that special moment when the sky ignites and spreads its golden shroud. At dawn, he ventured to the emblematic Corcovado where the majestic statue of Christ stands. The picture was snapped from the viewing platform at the peak. A moment in time that conveys strength and fullness.

This really is one of the most beautiful scents I’ve ever had the pleasure of trying. It’s both luminous and exotic, enticing yet not feminine by any means, this is no doubt a fragrance for both a man and a woman. It really is the perfect tribute to the beautiful sunrise in Rio de Janeiro. It’s the first sunlight rising in the morning; the promise of a new day.

This unique fragrance opens with Yuzu, Ginger, Mint and zesty Lemon and Mandarin. The heart blends Coconut Water with both Pink and Black Peppers and Jamaican Hot Peppers for warmth, and the fragrance ends with a smooth of base Rum, Brazilian Copaiba and Accord of White Leather.

  • Top Notes: Yuzu, Ginger, Mint, Lemon and Mandarin.
  • Heart Notes: Pink Pepper, Black Pepper, Coconut Water and Jamaican hot Peppers.
  • Base Notes: Rum, Brazilian Copaiba and Accord of White Leather.

Olfactive Studio Still Life in Rio is £75.00 for 50ml and available now at Selfridges.

I hope you enjoyed my post xxx
