The Body Shop NEW Superfood Face Masks: #DareToMask
29 August, 2016Hi Guys!
After a bit of a break from the blog (which was well needed) and an awesome but hectic week in NYC with a fabulous bunch of bloggers, I’m now home, revived and refreshed, and ready to get back into the swing of things!
I’ll be sharing all my New York adventures very soon, but in the mean time I thought I’d let you know about some fantastic new masks from The Body Shop…
The Body Shop’s new superfood masks are 100% vegetarian (with some also being vegan) and they contain no parabens, silicone, mineral oils or paraffins. The collection offers five masks, each featuring a different superfood for different skin requirements. Whether your skin needs purifying, added hydration, or could do with a boost of energy, there’s a mask for you. Let’s take a look at the range –
I’ll start with the two masks I’ve tried so far. So firstly the Amazonian Acai Energising Radiance Mask – this 100% vegan face mask is perfect for skin that needs a fast recharge from signs of fatigue and stress – I pretty much dipped my face in this as soon as I got back from New York, and I’m really glad I did! This mask is infused with acai berry, guarana and babassu oil to lightly exfoliate and invigorate tired skin. It definitely did the job for my jet-lagged complexion.
I then went for the Ethopian Honey Deep Nourishing Mask yesterday – now this mask really does smell good enough to eat! It contains a selection of natural ingredients such as honey, marula oil and olive oil to nourish and moisturise the skin, leaving your complexion soft, smooth and restored. This mask is both indulgent and comforting, and it’s definitely my favourite out of the two I’ve tried so far.
The Himalayan Charcoal Purifying Glow Mask is a tingling charcoal clay mask that’s 100% vegan and infused with bamboo charcoal, green tea leaves and organic tea tree oil. It promises to draw impurities out of the skin, absorb excess oil and refine the appearance of pores, revealing a healthy looking, youthful glow. I should mention that my sensitive skin often doesn’t like clay masks, but I’ll be trying this one later in the week and I’ll let you know how I get on.
Next the British Rose Fresh Plumping Mask – this is a refreshing gel face mask that’s designed for skin that wants to be quenched and re-plumped with moisture. This mask is 100% vegan and infused with rose petals, rose essence, rosehip oil and aloe vera to reveal skin that’s replenished and visibly smooth, with a youthful dewy appearance.
And lastly the Chinese Ginseng & Rice Clarifying Polishing Mask – this creamy exfoliating face mask is perfect if you need something a bit more intense to treat dull and uneven skin. It contains ginseng extract, rice extract and sesame seed oil to illuminate, and reveal brighter-looking, and more supple feeling skin.
Though I’ve only tried two masks out of the five so far, I’m really impressed with them. They’re only £15.00 each too which really is fantastic value! The superfood mask collection is available now at The Body Shop.
I hope you enjoyed my post xxx
