Happy Thursday everyone! I have a few brand new summer skincare products to share with you today – enjoy!
Let’s start with the Starskin 7 Second Morning Mask – technically, this isn’t really a mask, these are double sided pads designed to be used in the morning to clean and prep the skin for the day ahead. One side of the pad has small beads to massage, exfoliate, remove dead skin cells and increase hydration, and the other applies a serum and moisturiser whilst ‘masking’ for a skin plumping hydration boost, leaving skin feeling soft and dewy. The idea is that this is a 7-in-1 product offering everything your morning skincare routine requires, in one handy pad. This is perfect for those that don’t want the hassle of a long morning routine – I love this product!
Next I have the Glamglow Instamud– this is a foaming treatment mask designed to instantly refine pores and even the skin tone, promising to leave skin smooth and soft in only 60 seconds. It contains bentonite, kaolin clays, witch hazel, aloe vera, and licorice root, and the micro-bubbling mud activates on contact with your skin to energize and invigorate while it perfects your complexion. I LOVE a bubbly mask, and this one does the trick without upsetting my sensitive skin, awesome!
Continuing with the bubbles, this is the Hello Jo Speak Up! Bubble Lip Mask – rather than a ‘grainy’ lip exfoliator, this works with enzymes, antioxidants and Vitamins A and C which break down dead skin cells to leave lips feeling renewed and resurfaced. You simply rub it on and watch the mask bubble up – I love how this makes my lips feel so smooth and nourished.
For cleansers, firstly I have the fantastic SVR Physiopure Cleansing Micellar Water Pure & Mild – this micellar water cleanser has been specifically developed for sensitive skin (yay!). The lightweight liquid purifies and detoxifies skin, and it eliminates dirt and all traces of makeup without over-drying or leaving skin feeling tight. This is a fantastic cleanser if you have sensitive skin.
And the Peter Thomas Roth Cucumber Detox Foaming Cleanser– this cleanser purifies and detoxifies the skin of impurities. It contains natural cucumber extract, sugarcane and sugar maple extract to encourage cell turnover whilst calming and soothing irritated skin, and glycerin and sodium PCA to cleanse and hydrate the skin whilst locking in moisture to reveal a healthier, refreshed appearance. It’s also good to know this cleanser is also alcohol and sulphate free!
The Paula’s Choice Peptide Booster is perfect for those with sensitive skin that may not be able to use a high strength retinol. It contains a powerful blend of eight targeted peptides, where each one addresses a specific anti-ageing concern, from loss of radiance and uneven skin tone to fine lines and wrinkles. Together with skin-restoring ingredients such as amino acids, antioxidants and hydrators, the Peptide Booster strengthens and protects the skin’s barrier and increases natural resilience. I’ve used this a few times now and I’m SO impressed with the results! It instantly makes my skin look and feel brighter, fresher and more radiant. This product is a must try!
Gatineau Perfection Ultime Radiance Energizing Eye Concentrate – if you have issues with puffiness and dark circles around the eyes, then this one’s for you. This serum has a super lightweight consistency that instantly absorbs into the skin to leave the eye area feeling silky smooth and instantly refreshed. The formula includes horse chestnut seed extract and yeast extract to boost circulation, smooth lines and reduce inflammation, and sweet almond oil which promotes smooth, plump and youthful-looking skin. It also provides long lasting hydration, helping to refresh and soothe tired eyes.
Continuing with eyes, I LOVE a good eye patch, and the Peter Thomas Roth Hydra Gel Eye Patches are just fantastic. The formula contains cucumber extract, allantoin, chamomile, aloe, niacinimide, hyaluronic acid, glycerin, hydrolyzed collagen, caffeine and arnica to awaken the appearance of tired eyes and diminish dark circles and puffiness. These patches leave my eye are feeling amazingly soothed and refreshed – I’ve been keeping mine in the fridge!
The Clinique Dramatically Different Hydrating Jelly – is a super lightweight water-jelly designed to deliver 24-hour hydration repair, plus pollution protection. This jelly features Clinique’s Clean Shield Technology and is formulated with a blend of sunflower seed cake, barley extract and cucumber fruit extract to strengthen skin’s barrier, improve its resiliency, and balance and retain skin’s moisture levels. I love the texture of this jelly, it’s so light and it absorbs into the skin super quickly without leaving any residue. This is a must-try if you’re looking for a light feeling product that leaves skin feeling smooth and hydrated.
And another brand that I’ve just come across is Cinch. The Cinch Face Cheat Moisturiser + Glow – is a spray moisturiser that also lightly illuminates the skin, whilst helping to reduce the appearance of wrinkles, minimise the look of pores and prime your skin ready for make-up application. This is definitely worth a try if you have dull and lacklustre skin.
Bali Body Bronzing Lotion – this is a fast absorbing light-weight moisturiser, combining fake tanning with the benefits of a skincare product. This vegan, antioxidant-rich Bronzing Lotion contains Vitamin E and natural oils to hydrate and smooth the skin, whilst organic caramel extract provides an instant bronzed glow. This gives you a lovely natural looking glow, whilst leaving skin feeling amazingly soft.
And last but not least, the This Works In Transit Pollution Shield – this spray contains moisturising hyaluronic acid, with chamomile extract and aloe vera to soothe skin and calm redness and irritation, and a polysaccharide pollution shield which inhibits the attack of carbon particles, particulate matter and heavy metals as you go about your day. This protective mist will help prevent signs of ageing and keep skin looking fresh and hydrated throughout the day with make-up held in place, whilst defending against environmental aggressors and pollutants.
