I hadn’t tried anything from Dr Barbara Sturm before, but had heard good things about her products!
This kit includes a selection of six deluxe mini-sized products to help keep your complexion hydrated and radiant over the winter months. It’s ideal for dry skin – which I suffer with – as well as dullness and some serious under eye circles. I’m hoping this kit is just what I need right now to give my skin a boost.Let’s take a look at what’s included:
Firstly there’s a Face Cleanser (50ml) – Dr Barbara Sturm’s Face Cleanser is packed with powerful, natural active ingredients that promote skin regeneration while gently cleansing the skin. This soft, fine foam provides a deep clean without compromising the skin’s natural moisture balance.
Next is a Facial Scrub (20ml) – This refining facial peel promises to slough away any dry, flaky skin to stimulate cell renewal and reactivate essential skin function.
Dr Barbara Sturm’s Face Cream Rich (20ml) – sounds right up my street, it utilises Purslane, a cutting-edge anti-aging ingredient rich in vitamins, minerals, Omega-3 fatty acids, and glutathione – a powerful natural antioxidant. This lightweight cream penetrates to the skin’s deepest layers, strengthening it against free radicals and cellular degeneration. It also promises a visibly radiant and healthy complexion immediately after one application for 24 hours.
Next the Calming Serum (10ml) – Another product I’m excited to use, described as ‘The dream product for a stressed out complexion’ this serum stimulates the skin’s free radical fighting system, calms inflammation, and protects sensitive cell membranes against environmental aggressors.
And the Hyaluronic Serum (10ml) – is an intensive skincare treatment that will help to promote firm skin and reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. It’s packed full of highly concentrated long and short chain hyaluronic molecules to provide intensive hydration and work as a super booster against fine lines and wrinkles, so skin is instantly and visibly firmer, refreshed, and radiant.
And last but not least, the Face Mask (10ml) – This is an intensive, deeply hydrating clay mask with extracts of Aloe Vera and Chamomile, to leave skin feeling silky soft and smooth. And what did I think?
Well, overall I was vey impressed with this selection of products, and they worked perfectly with my skin type (especially at this time of year) The cleanser, to be honest I could take it or leave it, as I have plenty of other effective budget cleansers, but I did particularly like the Face Cream, considering it’s a ‘rich’ cream for dry skin, it felt surprisingly light and sank in quickly, leaving my complexion feeling super nourished and hydrated. And I think my skin did actually look a bit better after using this – magic! Another favourite was the Calming Serum, this left my skin feeling so good, and so did the Hyaluronic Serum, my skin type just loves serums in general, but I feel these two were really effective especially, leaving my complexion looking brighter and refreshed, as well as feeling amazingly smooth. The only product I didn’t get to try yet is the mask, so I’ll report back on this shortly!
Though I’m very impressed, I should point out that if you’re not familiar with the brand, Dr Barbara Sturm’s products are expensive (you’d be looking at £175 for 30ml of the Calming Serum alone) but if you’re into your skincare and don’t mind splashing out, this is a fantastic way for you to try a selection of Dr Barbara Sturm products, for less than the cost of a single full size product – especially if you have dry skin like me.The Dr Barbara Sturm Winter Essentials Kit is available now at SkinStation.
