If you follow me on Insta Stories you may have seen that the new collection of Marc Jacbos Daisy fragrances landed at TSNC HQ recently. I’ve been trying them out ever since and I’m now ready to tell you all about them…
The new Daisy Kiss collection contains three fragrances – Daisy Kiss, Daisy Dream Kiss and Daisy Eau So Fresh Kiss. The collection is inspired by the vivid bursts of colour in Marc Jacobs Resort fashion collections, and this fragrance collection promises to be vibrant, bold and striking. Let’s take a look at each scent –
First up, we have the new Daisy Kiss EDT (£54.00 at Feelunique) – I’m a big fan of the way Marc Jacobs styles his bottles, and this fragrance really does smell as good as it looks. The bottle is presented in typical ‘Daisy’ style with a fun rubberised cutout flower detail, and in terms of colour, Marc Jacobs has gone for a graduating shocking pink, which I think complements the collection perfectly.
Daisy Kiss EDT is described as an uplifting fragrance with floral and fruity notes, opening with a juicy burst of Pomelo Nectar mixed with hints of Peony and Rose and a bright and notes of Creamy Cedarwood, Ambrox and Musk at the base, for a warm drydown.
This fragrance really is everything you’d expect – it’s fun, playful and flirty, as well as being youthful and easy to wear on a daily basis.
- Top Notes: Valentine Pomelo, Apricot Nectar, Dewy Violet.
- Heart Notes: Osmanthus Flower, White Peony, Pink Rose.
- Base Notes: Creamy Cedarwood, Ambrox, Musk.
Next is Daisy Dream Kiss EDT (£54.00 at Feelunique) – with the same colouring throughout the collection, this bottle has the distinctive Marc Jacobs spherical mirrored flower lid, as well as a different shaped flanker to the original, so it’s easy to distinguish between them.
Described as being vibrant and bright, Daisy Dream Kiss is a luminous fragrance of luscious fruit notes and sun-drenched florals. Bright and playful, notes of Pink Grapefruit and Juicy Pineapple mingle with a range of fresh florals at the heart, and Cedarwood, Musk and Ambrox at the base creates a sensual and lingering drydown.
This fragrance is very similar to Daisy Dream above, but noticeably has different top notes, giving a much more juicy and fruity opening. The dry down however is very similar to Daisy Dream, so I would definitely recommend trying them both to decide which you prefer.
- Top Notes: Black Currant, Pink Grapefruit, Juicy Pineapple.
- Heart Notes: White Freesia, Jasmine Petals, Tart Raspberry.
- Base Notes: Cedarwood, Skin Musk, Ambrox.
And lastly Daisy Eau So Fresh Kiss EDT (£64.00 at Feelunique) – this bottle is taller and larger than the others (75ml compared to 50ml for the above fragrances) and the scent is noticeably different to the above two.
Daisy Eau So Fresh kiss is definitely a light and radiant fragrance, opening with Mandarin Leaves, Cassis and Pink Pepper, leading to a vibrant blend of Peony, Cherry Blossom and Rose Petals, while notes of sensual White Wood and Sandalwood round out the base. It’s the lightest of the three scents, and if you tend to go for floral feminine scents, this could be perfect for you.
- Top Notes: Mandarin Leaves, Cassis, Pink Pepper.
- Heart Notes: Sheer Peony, Cherry Blossom Petals, Pink Rose.
- Base Notes: White Wood, Sandalwood, Ambrox.
If you’re a fan of Marc Jacobs scents, then you should definitely check this collection out, as the new Daisy Kiss range really is so pretty and wearable for the coming summer. The new Marc Jacobs Daisy Kiss fragrance collection is available now at Boots and Feelunique.
