Beauty: Liz Earle Skincare on Trial

Posted on July 10, 2017

Hi Guys!

I’ve been trying out a few products from Liz Earle over the last couple of weeks, and wanted to give you the low down today and let you know how I’ve been getting on with them. My skin is pretty dry and can often be sensitive, which means I have to be a bit careful when it comes to trying out new skincare products – if you have sensitive skin you’ll know what I mean! I’ve been trying out a new limited edition Cleanse & Polish, a Moisturiser for sensitive skin, and a few other skincare products. Read on to find out my thoughts…

Starting with the Cleanse & Polish Grapefruit & Patchouli (£22.75 for 150ml including 2x cotton cloths) – Liz Earle’s classic Cleanse & Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser has been revamped into a fab limited edition for summer 2017. This new Grapefruit & Patchouli version is just the same as the original in terms of formula, but this is fragranced with an invigorating blend of zesty grapefruit and woody patchouli essential oils.

If you’re not familiar with Cleanse & Polish, this cult product is a thick, rich cream that does a fantastic job of removing dirt, grease and makeup from the skin, leaving your complexion feeling fresh and clean. It’s actually been quite a few years since I last use the original Cleanse & Polish, so I was looking forward to trying out this new scented version. Firstly, I have to say it smells heavenly! And after massaging into the skin, it really does deep cleanse and remove all traces of makeup, as well as lightly exfoliating – leaving skin feeling fresh, clear and bright.

The Instant Boost Skin Tonic Spritzer (£14.75) is up next. This toner has a light floral fragrance, and contains naturally active ingredients including Aloe Vera to revitalise and soften and Calendula, Chamomile, Cucumber and Vitamin E to soothe and refresh the skin. You can use it directly after the Cleanse & Polish to soothe the skin, or just spritz over both face and body and time of day to refresh and revitalize.

I’ve also been trying the Superskin Moisturiser (£39.00 for 50ml) – I went with the unfragranced version for sensitive skin, which contains Cranberry, Borage and Rosehip Seed oils. I’ve been using this after the above Skin Tonic Toner, massaging into my face and neck, and I have to say my skin has been feeling fantastic!

Liz Earle have advised for optimal results to follow the specific facial massage techniques below. This should help clear toxins, reduce puffiness, boost circulation and aid lymphatic drainage:

Step 1: Apply to face with upward and outward movements using firm pressure.

Step 2: With your fingertips, lightly smooth in an outward circular direction along the cheekbones to above the eyebrows.

Step 3: Using the thumb and ring finger, gently pinch along the brow bone from the nose to the outer edge of the brow.

Step 4: Finish by gently sweeping your hands up the neck and over the décolletage.

For the body, I have the SuperSkin Dry Body Oil (£35.00 for 100ml) – I’m a big fan of skin oils, so this fast absorbing dry body oil sounded right up my street! The SuperSkin Dry Body Oil has been formulated with Liz Earle’s botanical blend of Cranberry, Borage and Rosehip Seed oils to visibly smooth, nourish and revitalise the skin. The oil itself if super lightweight, and I find it works well right after showering. It absorbs really quickly, leaving the skin feeling soft, supple and lightly scented.

And lastly the Eyebright Soothing Eye Lotion (from £7.50 for 50ml) – as someone that suffers daily with dry, puffy and tired eyes, I was most excited about trying this product. The Eyebright Soothing Eye Lotion promises to instantly revitalise and refresh tired and puffy eyes, and it contains Witch Hazel, Aloe Vera and Cornflower to cool and soothe the delicate eye area.

I have to say I was expecting a creamy lotion, but the formula is actually very thin and wet – just like water. You simply need to apply some product to a cotton wool pad (how much you use is up to you) and sweep lightly over the eyelids – or you can also soak two pads in the product and leave on for up to 10 minutes, for a revitalising, soothing compress.

I’ve used this a few times now, and it really does feel lovely and refreshing on the eye area – I’ve also found that keeping the bottle in the fridge works wonders as the liquid feels extra cool and soothing when you apply it. If you suffer from puffy eyes like I do, this is definitely one to try.

Overall I’m really impressed with all the products I’ve been trying out – the new limited edition Cleanse & Polish is a lovely revamp of a classic product, the SuperSkin Unscented Moisturiser is a fantastic every day moisturiser for sensitive skin especially, and the EyeBright Lotion really did work wonders to relieve my tired eyes.

I’d love to hear which Liz Earle products you use and enjoy? I hope you enjoyed my post xxx

Heatwave! All The Beauty Products You Need Right Now…

Posted on July 7, 2017

Hi Guys!

The warm weather has finally hit the UK, and being British, of course we just don’t know what to do with ourselves – well personally I don’t function so well in the heat, so I’ve been hiding indoors wherever possible! Today, I’ve put together a few products, aiming to help you fight the frizz with your hair, keep skin cool, and prevent makeup from sliding down your face…

So starting from the top, for hair protection I have the Phytoplage Original Protective Sun Oil (£17.00 at John Bell & Croyden) – this is a luxurious hair oil that’s perfect for protecting dry and damaged hair that has been weakened by the effects of sun exposure. It includes a natural UV filter and nourishes and moistures the hair so becomes soft and supple.

And the Phytoplage Huile Protective Sun Veil (£16.00 at John Bell & Croyden) – for those with normal to dry hair, the Protective Sun Veil offers an invisible UV filter including Sunflower Extract, Illipe Extract, White Lotus Extract and Sweet Almond to protect, hydrate and nourish hair.

If the dreaded summer frizz is a problem for you, Kerasilk have some fantastic products that can help. The Kerasilk Control De-Frizz Primer (£21.50 at Goodwill Salons) is packed with Keratin and Liquid Silk to instantly tame frizz & flyaway’s whilst working to protect against heat & humidity. And the Kerasilk Control Humidity Barrier Spray (£21.50 at Goldwell Salons) – shields styled hair from high humidity to block frizz, whilst giving a shiny, weightless finish.

Onto skincare now, the RMK Skintuner Cooling Gel – (£32.00 at Selfridges) is perfect for calming and refreshing the skin. It has a light gel formula that melts into the skin, absorbing quickly and leaving a smooth finish, without any stickiness. It contains extracts of Citrus and Bilberry, which permeate the skin, protecting against dryness, whilst helping to retain moisture.

For a cheaper alternative, the L’Oreal Hydra Genuis Moisturiser for Sensitive Skin (£9.99 at Boots) is a fantastic affordable moisturiser. Inspired by Asian skincare, Hydra Genuis promises to deliver pure moisture that penetrates quickly, deeply and continuously, without overloading the skin. It contains Aloe Vera Sap and Hyaluronic Acid to instantly refresh the skin and lock in moisture. This has a very similar texture to the above Skintuner Cooling Gel, and also promises to release continuous hydration for up to 72 hours.

I’ve also been loving the Uriage Eau Thermale Water (£8.50 at John Bell & Croyden) – this is a skincare water that you just spritz on your face whenever you want a cooling and refreshing hit. The formula contains trace elements and Mineral Salts, to moisturise, and it helps to sooth sensitive skin thanks to its high content of Calcium and Magnesium Salts.

And lastly the Bioderma Photoderm Bronz SPF50 Invisible Mist (£24.00 at John Bell & Croyden) – I have to say it really doesnt get better than this for sun protection. This invisible mist for face and body offers super high SPF50 protection combined with a 100% transparent, non oily and non sticky texture. It’s also alcohol free, doesnt dry the skin and helps to prolong your tan – what more could you need?

For makeup, the Cover FX Custom Blot Drops (£34.00 at Space NK) – are definitely worth a shot if you suffer with oily skin. These matifying drops work to control excess oil, reduce shine and clear pores. They also contain light diffusing particles to reduce the appearance of fine lines and pores whilst Chamomile Extract soothes and tones the skins texture for a flawless matte finish. You can either apply the product direct to the skin, or mix in with your foundation or moisturiser to customise results.

I also have the Vichy Dermablend Setting Powder (£13.50 at Boots) – this super lightweight, translucent setting powder is perfect for locking makeup in place, and offers a smudge and water resistant finish for up to 16 hours. It has a microfine texture that is translucent upon application, meaning it doesn’t affect the colour of your foundation, and gives a velvety matte, natural looking finish.

Clarins also have a few new products that are perfect for combatting the hot weather. The Clarins Pore Perfecting Matifying Foundation (£28.00 at Clarins) – this foundation has a matte finish and acts like an ‘imperfection eraser’ by smoothing out fine lines and pores with its micro-beads made from Acacia Gum. It promises to leave skin refreshed, smooth and comfortable.

And I love the Clarins Pore Perfecting Matifying Kit (£33.00 at Clarins) – this super handy little kit contains everything you need to smooth and mattify your skin on the go. The palette opens to reveal a transparent pressed powder to smooth the skin and mask pores, as well as refillable mattifying papers to instantly absorb shine. This kit is definitely handy to keep in your handbag over the summer months.

I’d love to hear which beauty products you rely on when the weather heats up? I hope you enjoyed my post xxx

Beauty: What’s New At Estee Lauder?

Posted on May 31, 2017

Hi Guys!

I have a few of Estee Lauder’s latest releases to share with you today – there’s a gorgeous new lipstick, various skincare items and also a couple of primers. Let’s take a look…

Starting with skincare, I have the DayWear Matte Oil-Control Anti-Oxidant Moisture Gel Creme (from £25.00 for 30ml at John Lewis) – this is a fantastic moisturiser for those with oily skin, as it helps to control oil and minimise shine throughout the day, whilst also reducing the look of visible pores. The formula is a fresh, ultra-light gel creme, which feels light and barely-there on the skin. It contains Estee Lauder’s Moisture Matte Technology to control oil for up to 8 hours – which is just what I need in this weather! My skin is usually quite dry, but more recently I’ve been getting oily areas around my nose and on my forehead. I’ve used this moisturiser a few times now and apart from leaving my skin feeling smooth and soft, it’s definitely helped keep the oil at bay.

I also have the Advanced Night Repair Recovery Mask-In-Oil (£49.50 for 30ml at John Lewis) – this has been designed to use with Estee Lauder’s Advanced Night Repair Serum to help ‘lock in’ the serum. The Recovery Mask in Oil contains Chronolux™ and Anti-Oxidants to help fortify skin to fight the appearance of aging, and the formula promises to strengthen, nourish and rebuild, preparing the skin for the day ahead by boosting its natural resistance to environmental stressors.

On to primers now – I have the Matte Perfecting Primer (£22.50 at John Lewis) – this mattifying primer again is perfect for the warmer weather as it controls oil and shine, whilst creating a silky-smooth canvas ready for makeup application. Unsurprisingly it works really well teamed with the above Moisture Gel Cream. This primer is oil free, and gives the skin a lovely velvety matte finish.

And the Smoother Universal Perfecting Primer (£22.50 at John Lewis) – unlike the Mattifying Primer above, this lightweight primer is infused with skin-softening apricot essence to optically perfect skin, diffusing the look of pores and imperfections. It leaves skin with a smooth, even texture.

For eyes, I have the new Revitalizing Supreme+ Global Anti-Aging Cell Power Eye Gelée (£36.00 for 8ml at John Lewis) – this multi-action, fatigue-fighting eye treatment promises to improve firmness and reduce the look of lines, wrinkles and puffiness. It has a cooling, metal massage tip which feels really refreshing, and also helps to reinvigorate the eye area and brighten the look of dark circles.

And lastly the new Pure Colour Love Lipstick (£17.10 at John Lewis) – described as fun and daring lip colour with good-for-you ingredients that help smooth lips and renew moisture, the new Pure Colour Love Lipsticks are available in 30 different shades, with a variety of finishes. There’s mattes, shimmer pearls, chromes and cremes, so whatever finish you prefer, you’re bound to find the perfect lipstick for you. The Cremes, Chromes and Shimmers have a deliciously balmy texture, and the Mattes are bold, vibrant, rich, long-lasting, and feel weightless on the lips.

Out of everything, I think the DayWear Matte Oil-Control Anti-Oxidant Moisture Gel Creme has to be my favourite product. I just love how it makes my skin feel hydrated but without any greasiness, or ‘heavy’ feeling like you can get with certain moisturisers. I’d love to hear if you’ve tried any of these products?

I hope you enjoyed my post xxx

Skincare: Multi Misting with Pixi Beauty #MultiMisting

Posted on April 24, 2017

Hi Guys!

Ok so we’ve all heard of multi-masking? Well now Pixi Beauty are taking things one step further with multi-misting! Which as you can guess, is all about layering up your favourite mists, and using them together in a way that suits your skin.

Pixi Beauty have just added a couple of brand new mists to their ever-expanding collection of products, including the Vitamin Wakeup Mist and the Sun Mist. I have the new Vitamin Wakeup Mist (£16.00 at M&S) – which is described as a boosting toner mist to revitalize and awaken the complexion. It has an orange blossom water base, which is blended with skin-loving citrus fruit extracts, lavendar, and arginine for a wonderfully zesty scent that instantly refreshes the skin on contact. You can use this any time of day just to cool the skin and give it a bit of a boost, though I prefer a spritz first thing in the morning. It also works well to freshen your makeup during the day, giving skin a shot of hydration and protection.

The Hydrating Milky Mist (£18.00 at M&S) is another favourite of mine. This is a featherlight mist that provides an instant surge of hydration to help plump up the skin. It contains hyaluronic acid to rehydrate, and a blend of black oat, provitamin A, and linoleic acid to soothe and calm, and add moisture to the skin before you apply serum or makeup. My dry and sensitive skin just loves this – it gives an instant boost of hydration leaving my skin feeling happy and plump.

The Glow Mist (£16.00 at M&S) gives you a dewy, luminous and smooth complexion, which works to set makeup whilst hydrating and protecting the skin. Out of the four mists I’ve been trying out, I’d definitely say this one is a must have for everyone. It contains 13 natural oils, plus propolis which has has antiseptic and antioxidant properties, and aloe vera and fruit extracts which help to hydrate, protect and nourish the skin, all together leaving you with a radiant, healthy looking glow.

And lastly the Makeup Fixing Mist (£16.00 at M&S) – as you would expect, this mist prolongs your makeup and prevents it from sliding down your face as well as melting and settling into fine lines. It contains rose water and green tea to hydrate, protect and balance skin, giving you a fresh looking complexion with a soft-focus finish. You can also spray this directly onto your makeup brushes before applying product, to help your makeup last longer still.

I’m actually really struggling to tell you which is my favourite out of these mists. I love the Vitamin Mist to ‘wake up’ my skin in the morning, I love the Hydrating Milky Mist and Glow mist equally for an instant hit of hydration, whilst leaving my skin feeling rejuvenated, and the Makeup Setting Mist does exactly what you’d expect. So I think there really is something for everyone here!

Have you tried any Pixi Mists? I’d love to hear what your favourite is!

Beauty: Foreo LUNA 2 Sensitive Review #LUNA2byFOREO

Posted on February 12, 2017

Hi Guys!

When the original Foreo LUNA launched onto the beauty scene a few years ago, it was a fantastic innovation in skincare device technology, and I absolutely loved using it. In fact if you’d have asked me at the time I wouldn’t have been able to tell you how they could have improved it. Well now the LUNA 2 is here, and it proves that Foreo definitely know their stuff, as it really is better than ever.

The award winning LUNA 2 has been specifically developed to give a deeper and more effective cleanse, while remaining gentle on the skin. It offers 2x the power of the original LUNA, with a 50% bigger brush head for more efficient cleansing. It also has longer touch-points and a plush silicone body for greater comfort and performance.

There are also four different versions available to suit different skin types – Sensitive, Normal, Combination, and Oily – with each offering a strategic graduation of thinner to thicker touch-points to cleanse the skin depending on its needs.

I’ve been using the LUNA 2 for a few weeks now, and though this isn’t long enough to give a full on review, I thought I’d let you know my initial impressions, and how I’ve been getting on so far.

So you can probably guess I went with the sensitive option. This has thin, soft touch-points which feel flexible and rubbery to the touch. They are designed to minimize abrasion for the most sensitive skin yet still deliver deep cleansing that doesn’t compromise on gentleness.

The Sensitive LUNA 2 device comes in a lilac shade, it’s completely covered in ultra-hygenic soft silicone and it’s also completely waterproof, which is really handy so you can use it in the bath or shower if you wish. It offers 12 speeds, as well as 8000 T-Sonic pulsations per minute to remove 99.5% of dirt and oil, plus makeup residue and dead skin cells. It also has an anti-ageing surface on the opposite side, that directs lower-frequency pulsations to smoothen and firm the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

So firstly I have to say that it’s really easy to use – which is perfect if you’re like me and you don’t want to be faffing around with reading pages of instructions and attaching bits and pieces together. To clean the skin, you literally just move the device over your face for a minute, working in your cleanser, then if you wish to use the anti-ageing function, just flip it over and press onto the desired areas for another minute. It really is as easy as that.

After my very first use, my skin felt amazingly clean and fresh. I’m always nervous about using new devices and products as my skin can be quite sensitive at times and I can react to things. There was no problem with the LUNA 2 Sensitive though, and time after time my skin felt perfectly fresh and cleansed. Like I said I’ve only been using this for just under 2 weeks now, but I really feel I can tell the difference with my skin, it’s just looking a bit fresher and brighter than it did before.

It’s also worth mentioning that you can charge it via USB which is just SO handy. I’m pretty much always on my laptop at home so I can just plug it in as I’m working, and amazingly, you can get up to 450 uses with only 1 hours worth of charge – I wish my mobile phone could do that!

So would I recommend this device? Absolutely yes. Though it has a high price point, I love that it’s rechargeable and reusable, easy to use, easy to clean and hygienic, and you never need to replace any parts such as brush heads. The LUNA 2 could literally last you years if you look after it, making it a truly excellent investment for your skin.

The LUNA 2 is £169.00 and available now at Foreo.

Valentine’s Gift Guide for Her

Posted on February 9, 2017

Hi Guys!

Valentine’s day is almost upon us, and this is the first of three gift guides I have for you – the others will be coming up either later today or tomorrow morning. This gift guide is ‘for her’ and I’ve included loads of gorgeous bits and pieces that pretty much anyone would be happy to receive. There’s gift items in here, chocolates, alcohol, makeup and fragrance. I hope you enjoy!

I have to start this guide with one of my favourite recent fragrance launches – Jean Paul Gaultier Classique Intense EDP (£61.00 for 50ml at Boots) – Jean Paul Gaultier’s Classique fragrance really is a ‘classic’ – it was one of my very first, and favourite scents many years ago, and this this brand new intense version is just stunning. It’s very similar to the original, but heavier and more sensual. I know for a fact that fans of the original Classique will love this.

  • Top Notes: Pomegranate, Tiare Flower.
  • Heart Notes: Orange Blossom, Jasmine, Rose.
  • Base Notes: Patchouli, Vanilla.

Another new fragrance which is perfect for Valentine’s day is Agent Provocateur Pure Aphrodisiaque (£51.50 for 40ml at The Fragrance Shop) This is a romantic, floral fruity and musky scent. I was actually expecting something a lot heavier, but this is quite light and flirty, yet still very feminine and seductive. There are a few different gift set options available for this fragrance too which are perfect for Valentine’s day.

  • Top Notes: Mandarin, Anjou Pear and Rum.
  • Heart Notes: Jasmine, Wild Orchid and Indian Sambac.
  • Base Notes: Woods, Skin Musk and Amber Creme.

And lastly for fragrances I have Sarah Jessica Parker Lovely EDT (£11.00 for 30ml at Debenhams) which is a great option for those on a budget. The inspiration behind Sarah Jessica Parker’s first scent ‘Lovely’ was her love of layering scents. What became of this inspiration is a feminine and timeless signature scent for woman of all ages.

  • Top Notes: Bergamot, Lavender and Apple Martini.
  • Heart Notes: Patchoile, Paperwhites and Creamy Orchid.
  • Base Notes: Cedarwood, White amber, Sultry Woods and Musk.

On the subject of good deals, I also wanted to include the Skinchemists Rose Quartz Youth Facial Oil (£99.00 at Skinchemists) as this is currently on offer for £24.00, plus I have a discount code, so if you input TSNCBLOG at the checkout it will bring this down to £19.99 – what a bargain!

Skinchemists Youth Facial Oil is infused with a blend of hydrating, nourishing and protecting actives, to provide essential vitamins and minerals for the skin to leave the complexion illuminated, hydrated and refined. It contains Rose Otto Oil to help restore the moisture balance in the skin, Vitamin E to reduce skin damage, and Almond Oil to provide deep hydration and nourishment. The perfect product for increasing skin radiance, just 2-3 drops of this wonder oil are needed to cover the face and neck.

And what would valentine’s day be without a little tipple? Warner Edwards Rhubarb Gin Tin (£19.50 at Drink Finder) is a great choice for Valentine’s day as it tastes amazing, and it’s also pink! This gin is best served over ice and with a splash of tonic or ginger ale, to enjoy authentic British craft at its best.

And I had to include the Beauty Bakerie Lip Whip in ASOS Nude (£16.00 exclusively at ASOS) – this liquid lipstick has literally just arrived and I have to say I think I’m in love! Beauty Bakerie have two exclusive ASOS shades, one in Red and one Nude, and they dry down to a lovely matte finish that literally won’t budge all day.

Moving on to jewellery, I have these super pretty Vamp London Silver Spike Earrings (£55.00 at Browns Family Jewellers) which are Inspired by the Gothic architecture of Venice. They are from the Hidden Mask Collection, which is very 50 Shades-esque. It’s all about glamorous decadent parties, hushed whispers and intimate encounters. Considering these earrings are only £55.00, I think they’re incredibly pretty and delicate, and would make a wonderful gift.

Hopefully you can see at the back right hand side of the table, there is what looks to be a box of biscuits. But this is in fact Belgian Chocolate Biscuit Chocolates (£9.95 at Prezzybox) – these chocolates look exactly like some of your favourite biscuits. There’s jammy dodger in there, a pink wafer, and a party ring to name a few – but they’re all made of dark, milk and white belgian chocolate!

The NARS True Story Set (£35.00 exclusively at ASOS) is a stunning palette of four limited edition blushes in shades: Devotee, Myth, Unwritten, Outlaw. It also includes a Velvet Matte Lip Pencil in shade Mysterious Red, which is the perfect colour for a true red lip.

I’ve also recently been trying out some of the new Burberry Liquid Lip Velvet Lipsticks, and I’ve really been enjoying their super thick and creamy formula. I won’t go onto too much detail as I’ve already posted about them – but you can see my original review here.

For the person that has everything, what about this super sweet Silver Love Heart Trinket (£14.95 at Prezzybox) – this is an exact replica of a love heart sweet – the same size and everything, with a lovely silver plated finish. It’s a cute little keepsake gift to show someone how much you care.

This little Heart Trinket Dish (£6.95 at Prezzybox) is another fantastic bargain gift. It’s small enough to hold in the palm of your hand, and just the right size to keep small jewellery items like rings and bracelets together. The ‘Love You to the Moon and Back’ quote is a lovely touch for Valentine’s day.

Another stunning jewellery item is this Milan City Bracelet Stack (£155.00 at Annie Haak) – this super dainty stack of five sterling silver bracelets has a selection of tiny charms hanging from them, and can also be customised with an initial of your choice.

For something fun, what about this Red Face Purse (£15.00 at Emma Lomax) – this cute little fabric purse is adorned with striking lips and eyelashes, and comes in either red or pink. It’s also just the right size for carrying your cards and change.

I also wanted to include this Napoli Red Leather Journal (£32.99 at Pen Heaven) perfect for those that like to keep a written journal, or for someone that’s always writing down notes, this handmade leather jour name features a wrap-round cover, traditional gilded pages, and a heart symbol has been embossed in gold leaf in the bottom right corner, making it an ideal romantic gift.

And lastly of course, the amazing Love Carnival Light (£27.50 from Find Me a Gift) – this would make such a fun and unusual gift for someone who’s into home accessories. I love how the bright red stands out so much, and I think this is going to end up living in my conservatory 🙂

So there we have it! I hope this has given you some inspiration whether you’re buying or hoping to receive this Valentine’s day. Please also keep your eye out for my next two gift guide posts which will be coming up very soon.

I hope you enjoyed my post xxx

Beauty: NEW Nip & Fab Concentrated Skincare Shots

Posted on January 25, 2017

Hi Guys!

It’s been while since I’ve had Nip & Fab on the blog – for those not familiar, Nip & Fab is basically Rodial’s little sister, offering effective and affordable skincare solutions aimed at a slightly younger market.

They’ve just launched a brand new range of four skincare ‘shots’ – which are basically concentrated serums and oils, designed for specific skincare concerns. To use them you just add a ‘shot’ to your favourite moisturiser or serum before applying to the skin – easy.

Firstly we have the Glycolic Fix Radiance Shot – perfect for those looking for a boost of luminosity, the Glycolic Fix Radiance Shot contains glycol acid to retexture and resurface the skin, fruit acids to stimulate skin cell renewal, and amino acid derivatives to reduce the appearance of pigmentation. These exfoliating acids work to reveal a natural looking luminescent glow whilst aloe vera and allantoin care for the skin.

The Kale Fix Protecting Shot – is a lovely lightweight, hydrating serum that’s definitely one to try if you suffer with dry and dull looking skin. The Kale Fix Protecting Shot contains a selection of vitamins (including B5, C and E), as well as kale extract and pronalen bio, to reinforce the skin, protect against environmental pollutants, and provide deep nourishment and boosted defence.

The Viper Venom Fix Blurring Shot – is perfect for those looking to hide visible pores and smooth out fine lines. It contains 5x concentrated Syn-Ake to smooth and soften the skin, soft focus powders to give a matt finish with an instant blurring effect, and a tightening complex gives and immediate lifting effect, resulting in flawless, silky-smooth skin.

And lastly the Bee Sting Fix Repairing Shot – this is a lightweight, nourishing oil that promises to repair and boost damaged and dry skin. It contains bee venom to help plump and firm the appearance of the skin, royal jelly to condition and repair, and hyaluronic acid to intensely hydrate.

I’ve been trying to decide which would be best for my skin, and I’ve gone with the Kale Fix Protecting Shot (yep, dry and dull skin over here) – I’ve only just started using this but it really seems to be doing the job so far, leaving my skin feeling hydrated and nourished, and giving my complexion a ‘boost’. If you’re looking to amp up your skincare this January without breaking the bank, you should definitely check these out.

The full range of Nip & Fab Shots are available now from £19.99 each at ASOS.
