Top Secret Project Announcement!

Posted on February 11, 2015

Hi Guys!

It’s been in the pipeline for a looong time now, but I can finally reveal a few details about a super exciting top secret project I’m a part of! Yippeee! Early last year I was over the moon to be contacted by Beauty at Tesco and asked to be a part of their secret beauty blogger team, and to work on something rather exciting with them. The Beauty at Tesco guys, as well as many more companies involved have been working their socks off planning and putting together this amazing project since then, to offer something brand new and never seen before in the world of beauty!

So Beauty at Tesco have a wee little something up their sleeves, and I feel completely overwhelmed and honoured to be a part of this project. Also, I can tell you I’m in very good company. Here are the other amazing beauty bloggers that make up the team…

  • Ambarina from
  • Annie from
  • April from
  • Hayley from
  • Jayne from
  • Jen from
  • Laura from
  • Laurie from

Check out our mug shots!

I’ve included a few behind the scenes photos from our training day to give you a little taster 🙂 It was so fantastic to get the opportunity to meet all these lovely ladies and talk about makeup, skincare, oh and more makeup!

As much as I hate to be elusive, I’m afraid I can’t give you any more details about the project right now, sorry! But keep watching this space, there will be more info to follow very shortly! xxx

Spring Pastel Hair Inspiration

Posted on March 12, 2014

Hi Guys!

For maybe the last year or so I’ve been obsessed with dyeing my hair purple, well lilac to be more specific. Unfortunately I’ve been advised it would be best not to dye my hair yet as it’s not in great condition, it was falling out most of last year due to stress and it’s only just started growing back. I still keep thinking about it though and really want to take the plunge, I just feel like I need a change. At least I have my fairly vast selection of wigs to keep myself entertained with in the mean time 🙂

I still keep scouring the internet for hair colour inspiration, and I’ve just found the exact colour I want – see below top left. It’s a kind of muted greyish lilac. While I was looking around I thought I’d put together some of my favourite looks for a hair inspiration board –

What do you think? Are you a fan of pastel hair?

Hothair Natural Image Infinity Wig Review

Posted on October 11, 2013

Hi Guys!

Today I have a fantastic wig review for you, this time it’s the Hothair Infinity Wig by Natural Image in Cappuccino Mist. (I previously reviewed the Tantalise wig from the same collection if you want to check that out too)

The Infinity wig is simply gorgeous! It’s in a short, bob style, with layers around the face. The style of the wig means you can part the wig how you please, and sweep the fringe to the left or the right to suit you. It’s made of high quality synthetic fibre, and the hair acts and feels just like real hair.

On a close up picture you can see the lace front; because the hairs are individually hand threaded this means the front of the wig blends in seamlessly and really looks like your own hair.

This colour Cappuccino Mist is a lovely highlighted, natural looking blonde.

‘Sleek, poker-straight layers which just skim the shoulder-blades and an expertly cut fringe define Infinity – a gorgeous, contemporary wig which looks salon-styled.

Infinity also features the latest in wig-cap construction, with a Monofilament parting that looks just like your own scalp and a lightweight Comfort Cap Base.

Lace front feature: The ready-to-wear, sheer, virtually invisible lace-front requires no extra cutting. Simply wear the wig, aligning the front of the lace front with your own hairline and style on or off the face, as required.’

I love this wig, it’s so easy to wear, and no styling is required. You just put it on and go!

This really is the best quality synthetic hair wig – as with the Tantalise wig, the hair is superior quality, and the lace front means it’s virtually undetectable. Hothair offer many other premium synthetic wigs in their Inspired collection which you can check out here.

I’d love to hear if you’ve tried any Hothair products? I hope you enjoyed my review! xxx

Mint Aztec Dress OOTD!

Posted on September 28, 2013

Hi Guys!

Today I have a quick OOTD to share with you, I tried taking pics outside but it was so windy, my hair was going crazy and sticking in my lipgloss so I decided to shoot in the hallway!

My dress is from Peacocks, sadly sold out now, but they do have a similar aztec midi dress in stock! And my necklace is vintage. Also I’m wearing a new wig from Hothair, this will be on the blog later this week 🙂

I’m now about to sit down with my husband (feels weird saying that!) and have an Indian takeaway, nice! Hope you’re all having a great weekend!

I hope you enjoyed my post! xxx

Hothair Natural Image Tantalise Wig Review

Posted on August 12, 2013

Hi Guys!

I’m so excited to share with you my review of the gorgeous Tantalise wig by Natural Image from Hothair! It’s been many years since I’ve been a blonde so I thought I’d try this wig out in ‘Pecan Mist’ for a nice colour change. Pecan Mist is a lovely natural looking highlighted blonde colour.

Hot hair tantalise wig review

The Tantalise wig boasts gorgeous face framing layers that fall to the middle of the back, loaded with movement and bounce. The cap is ultra luxurious with a monofilament top and a lace front for an undetectable hairline and is 100% handtied and contoured to create a perfect, lightweight fit.

Lace front feature: The ready-to-wear, sheer, virtually invisible lace-front requires no extra cutting. Simply wear the wig, aligning the front of the lace front with your own hairline and style on or off the face, as required.

This is what it looked like on!

You’ll notice the front of the wig is very natural looking – this is my first experience of using a lace front and I don’t think I’ll ever look back!

This wig is without a doubt the finest quality synthetic hair I have ever come across. It looks and feels just like real hair! the wig is already styled with face-framing layers so you can just throw it on and you’re ready to go!

Check out the invisible lace front –

I’ve separated the hair below so you can see how the strands have been individually threaded.

This is simply a fabulous wig which I cannot fault at all. If you are looking for a top quality wig with a completely natural look (but without the price tag of human hair) you should definitely check this out. You can see more pictures in a previous post here.

I hope you enjoyed my review! 🙂 xx

Wonderland Wigs Cassy Red Wig Review

Posted on July 30, 2013

Hi Guys!

Last week the lovely ladies at Wonderland Wigs asked me to choose a wig or hair piece to review. I thought I’d go for something different to what I’d usually wear and chose the Cassy wig, which is a lovely deep red colour. I’ve never had red hair before! The Cassy wig is in a long layered style with a separated fringe and razor cut edges.

When it arrived I was surprised how impressed I was with the quality. I have worn many wigs varing in price and quality, and considering the price of this wig is at the lower end of the scale (£24.99) it is fabulously thick, and better quality than some of the more expensive wigs I’ve tried in the past! The hair is already styled, so you don’t need to worry about styling it yourself and you can also adjust the inside cap easily for a snug fit.

So this is what it looked like on! I love it!

I’d love to hear if there are any other bloggers out there that wear wigs?
