Fashion: Michael Kors Sunglasses at SmartBuyGlasses

Posted on March 29, 2017

Hi Guys!

Spring is now in the air, the nights are getting lighter and summer is fast approaching (at last!) – and I’m already starting to think about my summer wardrobe. When it comes to fashion I’m more of an accessories girl, I love adding new accessories to older outfits so I can recycle them and spruce them up for the new season, so when SmarybuyGlasses got in touch and offered to send me a pair of their designer sunglasses to try out and show you guys, of course I jumped at the chance!

If you haven’t heard of SmartBuyGlasses, they’re basically your one stop shop for affordable designer eyeware, and they stock some amazing brands such as Dolce & Gabbana, Versace, Jimmy Choo and Tom Ford to name just a few. Take a look at their latest gift guide to check out some of SmartBuyGlasses’s favourite styles this season.

After looking over the site for a very long time, I eventually decided to go for the Michael Kors MK2009 Polarised Sunglasses. They have a cat eye shape (my favourite) in a classic tortoiseshell brown frame which has an added touch of gold glitter that looks so pretty when it catches the light, and they also have brown gradient polarized lenses. I particularly wanted polarised lenses in order to prevent glare affecting my eyes when driving – I’ve worn these a couple of times now when driving in bright sunlight and they really do the job! The frames also have a small gold chain effect detail on each arm, with a tiny gold Michael Kors logo – I think this is a lovely subtle detail that gives the glasses a luxe feel.

These sunglasses retail for over £250, but SmartBuyGlasses are offering them for the reduced price of £188.95 – which is of course still expensive, but definitely a great saving overall.

If you’re looking for some new designer sunglasses for the upcoming summer, SmartBuyGlasses always have designer brands on sale so I’d definitely recommend checking them out!

I hope you enjoyed my post xxx

Do You Fancy Designer Goods Without The Price Tag?

Hi Guys!

Happy Friday! I’ve got something a little bit different for you today – If, like myself you’re a bit of a shopaholic with a taste for the finer things in life, this brand new site could be right up your street…

Love The Sales is basically your one stop shop for luxury and high end sale bargains – the idea is that they’ve gathered together all the sale items across the internet – covering fashion, beauty, home, electronics and kids – so you don’t have to waste your time scouring over multiple sites trying to find the best deal. They have over 5000 top name brands for your perusal, including D&G, Alexander Wang, Georgio Armani and Clinique to name but a few.

I’ve been doing a spot of window shopping on Love the Sales over the last few days, and I love that this site is so easy to use. You sign up via email or Facebook, then you complete your profile by adding brands you’re interested in, as well as your clothing and shoe size (you can also select multiple sizes if you wish) Love The Sales then does all the hard work by picking out every single product that’s relevant to you. This completely streamlines the shopping process – saving you both time and money.

The team behind Love The Sales have told me that shoes are their most popular item – and I’m not surprised at all! There are some serous savings to be had on this site; I spotted some gorgeous Kurt Geiger strappy heels that were originally £70.00, down to only £9.00! If only I could actually walk in heels I’d have snapped these up straight away! They actually have over 20,000 shoes to choose from on the site including amazing brands such as Kurt Geiger (one of my favourites, obviously) Michael Kors, DKNY and many more. I could literally spend hours browsing through them all!

I do also have a bit of a thing for handbags, and noticed a gorgeous Michael Kors Chevron Mini Messenger on the site – which I’ve had my eye on for a while. It’s an amazing bargain at £99.00 which is almost half price, and I’m so tempted to treat myself!

If you love a good bargain like I do, I recommend you check out Love The Sales, you won’t be disappointed! I hope you enjoyed my post xxx

Designer Spotlight: Alice McCall

Hi Guys!

Many moons ago, I decided it would be nice to put together a monthly ‘Designer Spotlight’ post where I could tell you all about my latest designer covetings – but despite my good intentions, it didn’t really end up happening regularly. I have so many gorgeous designer pieces on my fantasy wish list right now though, so I’ve decided to start the series again! The most amazing designer Alice McCall has recently been brought to my attention so I thought I’d take the opportunity today to tell you a bit about her and why I love her clothing so much.

Alice McCall’s pieces are just stunning and instantly recognisable – I love how she uses striking organic patterns and prints throughout her collections, with bold block colours and black linear graphic details. McCall has come a long way from originally selling her one-off silk pieces at London markets, and after quickly establishing a fan base her first line was born in 2004, with her fashion label being launched at Australian Fashion Week.

Over the past 10 years she has also collaborated with some major retailers including Topshop and Target. My favourite collaboration was definitely with Nasty Gal (this is also one of my all time favourite stores) I’ve Included the amazing green ‘Quartz’ dress from Nasty Gal in the image above.

‘Alice McCall’s signature style takes its inspiration from bohemian, folky subcultures and the rock ‘n’ roll lifestyle – resulting in daringly girlish silhouettes detailed with frills, scalloping, and lots of striking colour.’ Fun and playful is definitely the name of the game here, and I love how she incorporates so much unique detail and craftsmanship into her pieces, keeping them edgy yet very feminine.

It’s definitely my goal to own one of her dresses one day when my budget allows it! I’d love to hear what you think of Alice McCall’s designs and who your favourite designers are?

I hope you enjoyed my post xxx

This is a collaboration post

Step Into Spring With J.W. Anderson

Hi Guys!

I do occasionally like to talk about gorgeous things that are way out of my price range, that I can’t help lusting after, or coveting. With that in mind today I’ve got a little designer feature for you. I did actually have the idea a while ago of doing this once a month, just sharing some of my all time favourite designers, and newer discoveries that had caught my eye, but I just didn’t get round to it so it never really happened! Now one of my favourite designer stores, Avenue 32 has asked me to do pretty much the same thing, so I’m taking this opportunity to tell you all about J. W. Anderson!

Jonathan William Anderson was born in 1984 (a good year, same as me) in Northern Ireland, and graduated from the London College of Fashion in 2005 after finishing his degree in menswear. The J.W. Anderson label was then launched in 2008 with a men’s collection, and at the beginning of 2010 due to high demand, he decided to expand and launched his first capsule collection for women.

I’m in love with J.W. Anderson’s Resort 2015 collection, it contains some beautifully sophisticated wardrobe staples, with subtle wrapping and knotting techniques which echo Anderson’s signature aesthetic. Fabrics are clean, crisp and fresh, with a limited colour palette making each piece easy to wear and incorporate into your current wardrobe. I particularly like the simple, origami-esque Midnight Leather Twist Bag, which would be a chic addition to any outfit, and the Blue Stripe Beach Bodice Dress with it’s modern detailing and subtle nod to nautical styling. I would absolutely love to have any of these pieces in my wardrobe!

All the items above are available from Avenue 32, and I’d love to hear who your favourite designers are?

I hope you enjoyed my post! xxx
