10 Spring Fragrances to add to your Collection: L’Occitane, Givenchy, Nina Ricci & More!

Posted on May 29, 2017

Hi Guys!

It’s a beautiful bank holiday (apart from an intense rain and thunder, but that’s to be expected, right?) and I’ve been playing in the garden with Fred whilst eating ice pops ūüôā I thought I’d take a breather and share with you my top ten must have fragrances for Spring 2017 – enjoy!

Starting with one of my absolute favourite fragrances of the last few months, L’Occitane¬†Terre De Lumiere (¬£58.00 for 50ml at L’Occitane) – this is L’Occitane’s latest fragrance release, and the name literally means “land of light”. Terre De Lumiere is¬†L’Occitane’s first ever gourmand aromatic fragrance, consisting primarily of edible notes such as honey and almond. It’s¬†a beautifully light and evocative¬†fragrance that’s both warm and enveloping. Terre De Lumiere is inspired by the¬†special time of day in Provence known as the Golden Hour, which is a short moment at dusk as the sun falls and the sky fills with golden and purple light, leaving the¬†air filled with the most fragrant Proven√ßal scents. It truly is a stunning scent, and¬†I really can’t get enough of it!

  • Top Notes: Bergamot, Ambrette Seed and Pink Pepper.
  • Heart Note: Lavender Honey.
  • Base Notes: Acacia Flower, Bitter Almond Essence, Tonka Bean and White Musk.

Next, the beautiful Givenchy Live Irresistible EDT¬†– (¬£43.00 for 40ml at¬†Feelunique) This is actually my first experience with Givenchy fragrances, and hopefully not my last! Live Irresistible is a bright, floral and fruity fragrance, that’s perfect for every day wear. It opens with¬†sparkling top notes of Crisp Pear, fresh Green Apple and juicy Raspberry, leading to¬†tantalising Rose and energising Pimento Berries at the heart, just before the fragrances closes with a sensual base¬†of Light Woods.

  • Top notes: Pear, green apple, raspberry
  • Middle notes: Rose, pimento berries
  • Base notes: Light woods

Moving on to¬†something a little heavier now, Paco Rabanne Olympea Intense EDP (¬£46.00 for 30ml at House of Fraser) This is a beautiful warm and sensual oriental fragrance, with a¬†tempting salty-vanilla amber accord. The original Olympea fragrance is already a favourite of mine, so I just knew I’d love this more intense version. Olympea Intense is very similar to Olympea, but stronger, and definitely sweeter. This is a commanding and seductive fragrance that’s perfect for evening.

Olympea Intense takes centre stage with its famously tempting Salty-Vanilla Amber accord. At the heart of the fragrance, tactile Orange Blossom swathed in White Pepper creates intense sensuality, before diving headfirst into the extreme seduction of a White Amber base.

  • Top notes:¬†White Pepper, Orange Flower and Grapefruit Flower.
  • Middle notes:¬†Salty Vanilla.
  • Base notes:¬†Cedarwood and White Amber.

Next we have Nina Ricci¬†Luna EDT (¬£34.50 for 30ml at¬†House of Fraser) – this is an oriental gourmand fragrance that’s described as¬†mysterious, daring and alluring. Luna opens with fruity notes of refreshing Lime and Tangerine which lead to a floral heart of Immortelle and Jasmine, sparking a vibrant burst of floral citrus. The fragrance is rounded off with a warming base of sweet Caramel and Vanilla, with notes of alluring Liquorice and Musk. I’ve worn this a couple of times now and it’s fast becoming a new favourite.

  • Top Notes:¬†Wild Berries, Orange Blossom, Lime and Tangerine.
  • Heart Note:¬†Caramel, Immortelle, Jasmine and Pear.
  • Base Notes:¬†Sandalwood, Vanilla, Liquorice and Musk.

Next, Elie Saab¬†Le Parfum Resort Collection 2017¬†(¬£42.75 for 50ml at John Lewis) – I’m a big fan of Elie Saab fragrances so I was excited to try their latest scent¬†– Resort Collection EDT is described as¬†a luxurious white floral fruity fragrance,¬†inspired by the glamorous world of the Cannes Film Festival. The fragrance opens with juicy Red Mandarin, leading to¬†Orange Blossom, Jasmine and Pomegranate Nectar at the heart, and a rich base of smooth Patchouli.

  • Top Note: Red Mandarin.
  • Heart Notes: Orange Blossom, Jasmine and Pomegranate Nectar.
  • Base Note:¬†Patchouli.

On to Jo Malone Garden Lilies (¬£46.00 for 30ml at John Lewis) – this is one of four fragrances in the ‘Bloomsbury Set’, which as a collective were inspired by the free spirited group of artists¬†of the same name. The¬†scents aim was to capture the essence¬†of an unconventional life¬†in their legendary country house in Sussex…’The lily pond at dawn, bold blue hyacinth,¬†absinthe afternoons and golden linseed¬†on paint-stained hands.¬†Warming whisky and sweet pipe tobacco.¬†The secrets of waxed floors¬†burnished by footsteps in the night.’

Garden Lilies is a wonderfully fresh floral that truly captures the essence of a new dawn – I know that sounds completely cheesy but it really does! The fragrance opens with Water Lily, an aquatic floral with a wonderful dewy softness, and the floral heart of Green Sap and Ylang Ylang leads to a base of powdery and clean White Musk, with a hint of Vanilla.

  • Top Notes:¬†Water Lily.
  • Heart Note:¬†Green Sap and Ylang Ylang.
  • Base Notes: White¬†Musk and Vanilla.

Next we have MissGuided Babe Power EDP (¬£25.00 for 80ml at Superdrug) – I feel like this fragrance is quite the opposite of the above Garden Lilies which is quite delicate and nuanced. Babe Power is just as confident and in-your-face as you’d expect. This is¬†MissGuided’s first scent, and it’s the perfect embodiment of the¬†MissGuided brand –¬†designed to evoke a feeling of strength, confidence and femininity.

  • Top Notes:¬†Grapefruit Zest, Sour Cherry, Pink Pepper, Crisp Apple, Pineapple and Rhubarb.
  • Heart Notes:¬†Orange Blossom, Peony and Jasmine.
  • Base Notes:¬†Vanilla, Candy Floss, Sensual Musk, Amber Crystals.

Now on to the most affordable of the bunch,¬†& Other Stories Crinoline Violet (¬£19.00 for 50ml at Other Stories Stores) – yes this is technically a body fragrance, but I wanted to include it anyway as it’s such a lovely scent. Crinoline Violet is one of two new body fragrances in the popular Cotton Care range. It caresses the skin with it’s soft gentle touch, infused with¬†hints of Violet for a dreamy Cotton scent – this fragrance is¬†calm, kind and¬†easy-going.

Next I have a brand you don’t really hear of that often when it comes to fragrance – Abercrombie & Fitch first Instinct for Women (¬£50.00 for 50ml at Debenhams) –¬†First Instinct was¬†inspired by the first moment of attraction, when two people‚Äôs worlds collide and a spark is ignited. It is the fragrant interpretation of that exciting first glance and initial connection. First Instinct for Women is¬†a very feminine scent, that’s fruity, floral¬†and fun.¬†It’s¬†both sweet and juicy and perfect for wearing both day and evening.

  • Top Notes:¬†Magnolia, Grapefruit Zest, Passion Fruit and Wild Orange Flower
  • Heart Notes: Butterfly Orchid and¬†Water Lily.
  • Base Notes: Warm Amber,¬†Tonka and Musk.

And lastly, not a fragrance to be overlooked, Hollister Wave 2 (¬£32.00 for 50ml at Superdrug) – this is a gorgeous summery scent inspired by the Californian skies – it’s warm, free-spirited, fun and exciting. This sun-kissed creation entices you from the first impression with sunlit Peach, refreshing Coconut Water and sparkling Mandarin. Exotic Tiare Flower, Water Lily and Pink Freesia float in the air with a dreamy and addictive trail of White Sands, Driftwood and Vanilla Orchid. In my opinion this is definitely must-try scent.

  • Top Notes:¬†Mandarin Orange, Coconut Nectar and Peach.
  • Heart Note:¬†Water Lily, Pink Freesia and Tiare Flower.
  • Base Notes: Driftwood,¬†Sand and¬†Orchid.

Thanks so much for reading, and I hope you enjoyed my post. Id love to hear if you’ve tried any of these fragrances? xxx

Lifestyle & Beauty: Mother’s Day Gift Guide

Posted on March 21, 2017

Hi Guys!

I’m not sure how on earth it’s almost Mother’s Day already – didn’t Christmas just happen? Anyway, Mother’s Day is right around the corner so I thought I’d gather together a few lovely gift ideas to hopefully give you some inspiration. I’ve tried to include a bit of everything here to cover a range of budgets – Enjoy!

Starting off with some beautiful rose gold jewellery from Ted baker – the Ted Baker Ceanna Cuff Bracelet¬†& Edda Bow Necklace (¬£17.50 each at¬†Amara) are such good bargains, I had to include them. They’re both half price at the moment (¬£17.50 rather than ¬£35.00 each) which really is a fantastic bargain.

The Ceanna Gem Frame Cuff Bracelet is made from brass with rose gold coloured plating, it features a gem frame design and is enhanced with Swarovski crystal embellishments. And the Edda Bow Necklace also has a rose gold finish, with a super cute baby pink bow pendant.

I also had to include the lovely Ted Baker¬†Hat Box Gift Set¬†(¬£18.00 at¬†Boots) –¬†This decorative hat box¬†contains a 200ml refreshing body wash, a large 250ml shimmering body souffl√© and a mini bath scrunchie. The box is also very pretty and would be great to keep or to use for future gifting.

Next I have this super sweet Cupcake Kit (¬£24.99 at¬†Amara) – this handy kit contains everything you need to bake and decorate 8 cupcakes. Inside the box is a¬†pastry bag, 7 pastry tips, 1 pastry clip, 8 re-usable silicone cupcake cups and 1 recipe booklet,¬†featuring step-by-step instructions for using the pastry bag and creating delicious cupcakes. I’m looking forward to trying this set out with my son very soon! ūüôā

The Swash London Floral Meadow Notebook (£12.50 at Amara) is another half price find in the Amara sale. This fun and colourful notebook has plain pages and a hardback cover, finished with a hot pink elasticated bank closure and a matching ribbon marker.

Clarins have also recently brought out some lovely products which would make wonderful Mother’s Day gifts. The¬†Clarins¬†Tender Moments Collection¬†is a mini collection of products in cute, limited edition packaging.

The Skin Illusion Blush¬†(¬£16.00 at¬†House of Fraser) is a handy little product that’s perfect to give cheeks a pop of colour. I love the compact style of the packaging, and Clarins has also incorporated a mirror onto the lid which is a really nice touch. The formula¬†contains active plant ingredients which offer added comfort and radiance on application, and I love that the product is super easy to apply with the integrated sponge.

And the Daily Energizer Lovely Lip Balm¬†(¬£16.00 at¬†House of Fraser) – rather than just a bog standard lip balm, this nifty little product contains an ‘intelligent pigment’ which¬†reacts with the lips‚Äô pH to develop a personalised natural pink shade. The balm also promises to¬†repair and nourish whilst the peachy fragrance smells good enough to eat.

For Mum’s that like a¬†brew, the Silken Pyramids Selection Box Set (¬£22.00 at¬†Newby Teas) is the perfect set for branching out into new tea flavours. This luxury selection box¬†is filled with silken pyramids which have been individually wrapped for freshness. There are four beautifully-aromatic¬†infusions to choose from, including:¬†¬†Jasmine Princess, Strawberry & Mango, Hunan Green and Rooibos Orange.

For mums in need of a pamper (hands up!) the La Source Collection (from £6.00 at Crabtree & Evelyn) is definitely worth checking out.

The La Source collection draws inspiration from the restorative powers of the sea, and is carefully designed to restore, condition and rejuvenate the skin from head to toe. Formulated with a blend of ingredients such as underwater algae, mineral salts and seaweeds the products in this collection allow you to escape everyday life and immerse yourself in spa-like rituals.

Of the above products so far I’ve tried the beautiful¬†La Source EDT fragrance, and the¬†Refreshing Body Mist. They both smell wonderfully light and refreshing, and I think any mums in need of some me-time would love to receive these this Mother’s Day.

I’m pretty sure I¬†can’t plan a gift guide without including a candle! This Cat Candle (¬£45.00 from¬†Lush Designs) is just so unusual and striking, I think cat lovers and candle fans would both love it. The candle itself is available in a either lavender or rosemary & watermelon¬†scents, and it’s housed in a wonderful bone china container,¬†decorated with cats and¬†embellished with pure gold lustre.

For fans of skincare, the Foreo Luna 2 (¬£169.00 at Foreo) would make a fantastic gift. It is expensive, but in my opinion it’s worth the splurge when you consider how much use you’d get out of it.

The LUNA 2 is an enhanced T-Sonic face brush and anti-aging system that gives you a completely personalized cleansing, and it’s now available with four specialized brush types for a tailor-made skin care experience. I won’t go into too much detail here, but please check out my previous review if you’d like to hear more about the Foreo Luna 2.

Another one of my favourite brands for gifting is Molton Brown, and their new¬†Exquisite Vanilla & Violet Flower Shower Gel & Lotion Gift Set (¬£45.00¬†at¬†Molton Brown) really would make a wonderful Mother’s Day gift. This limited edition bath and body set blends¬†notes of creamy vanilla over delicate floral scents of violet flower and orris, to create a stunning fragrance. The set is presented with a grosgrain bow and violet-hued metallic caps in an exquisite limited edition Mother‚Äôs Day gift box.

For a budget option, this Exquisite Choices Gift Set (£12.95 at Pretty Little Treats) is just so girly and pretty. The handcrafted set contains four pampering treats: a mini pot of hand cream, a lip balm, a bath treat, and a matchbox solid perfume bar. The products are all beautifully packaged, and presented in a luxury box which is perfect for gifting.

On to fragrance now, DKNY¬†Be Tempted Eau So Blush (¬£50.00 for 50ml at¬†House of Fraser) is a wonderfully fresh and sparkling fragrance that’s perfect for Spring. Be¬†Tempted Eau So Blush opens with an¬†invigorating blend of Pink Grapefruit infused with juicy Blood Orange and succulent Red Currant, whetting the appetite with mouthwatering notes. With a playful allure, Pink Peony, sensual Jasmine and Cedar Wood at the heart lead to a base of rich Creamy Woods, Apricot and Musk.

  • Top Notes: Pink Grapefruit, Blood Orange, Magnolia and Red Currant.
  • Heart¬†Notes: Peony, Jasmine and Cedarwood.
  • Base¬†Notes: Creamy Woods, Apricot and Musk.

I’ve also included¬†Estee Lauder Modern Muse Nuit EDP¬†(¬£70.00 at¬†House of Fraser)- this floral woody oriental scent¬†blends sophisticated floral tones with creamy woods to create a beautiful contrasting¬†accord¬†that is lushly vibrant yet luxuriously warm. More of an evening fragrance than the original Modern Muse, this scent is opulent, glamorous and sensual.

  • Top Notes:¬†Mandarin and¬†Bourgeon de Cassis.
  • Heart¬†Notes:¬†Chamomile,¬†Jasmine Absolute,¬†Jasmine Sambac China and¬†Heliotrope.
  • Base¬†Notes:¬†Sandalwood,¬†Clearwood,¬†Tonka Beans,¬†Madagascar Vanilla,¬†Musks and¬†Amber.

And I had to include this¬†Elie Saab Le Parfum Gift Set¬†(¬£49.30 at¬†Escentual) – I’m a massive fan of Elie Saab fragrances so I think this Le Parfum gift set would make a wonderful present for Mother’s Day. If you’re not familiar with the scent, Le Parfum is a beautiful, voluptuous and feminine fragrance. It¬†opens with a radiant Orange Blossom, leading to a heart of¬†elegant Jasmine¬†Absolute, combining with a pure, modern Patchouli. The base note unfolds into a Cedar Woody¬†Accord adding character and a lingering trail, while the Honey Rose envelops the composition in a beautifully addictive note.

The gift set includes: Le Parfum EDP 50ml, Le Parfum Scented Body Lotion 50ml, and an Elie Saab Red Clutch Bag.

  • Top Notes:¬†Orange Blossom.
  • Heart¬†Notes:¬†Jasmine Absolute and Patchouli.
  • Base¬†Notes:¬†Clear Woods and Honey Rose.

And lastly, I also wanted to show you this stunning fragrance from Vince Camuto: Fiori (¬£55.00 at¬†Debenhams). I just love Vince Camuto bottles, they’s so striking and would look just wonderful displayed¬†on a dressing table.¬†Fiori (meaning Flowers in Italian) is a fresh, light and ¬†uplifting fragrance featuring top notes of luscious Pink Grapefruit and ripened White Nectarine, a¬†heart of sheer Iris and dewy Freesia, leading to a¬†base of rich Sandalwood and creamy Blonde Cedarwood.

  • Top Notes:¬†Pink Grapefruit and¬†white Nectarine
  • Heart¬†Notes:¬†Iris and Freesia.
  • Base¬†Notes:¬†Sandalwood and Blonde Cedarwood.

I’m sorry this ended up being such a ling post – well done if you made it this far! I hope you have a lovely Mother’s Day whatever you do, and I hope you enjoyed my gift guide¬†xxx

Christmas: Stunning Luxury Beauty & Fragrance Gifts

Posted on December 20, 2016

Hi Guys!

I’ve just finished the final instalment of my Christmas beauty gift guides – and I think I’ve definitely saved the best till last! This guide is all about luxury fragrance, makeup and skincare, where¬†no price is too high. I hope you enjoy!

Starting with the¬†Benefit Blushin’ Babe Set¬†– this limited edition palette contains five of Benefit‚Äôs famous cheek & face powders, as well as¬†signature tips and tricks leaflet to show you how to wear them, and also a They‚Äôre Real Mascara, Eyeliner and Watt‚Äôs up highlighter. Everything in this set is in mini form, making an affordable way to try before committing to purchasing full sized products.

For fragrance, Annick Goutal Les Absolus Rose Oud EDP is a stunning luxury scent, described as a new interpretation of some the finest raw materials in perfumery РAgarwood and Turkish rose, Les Absolus Rose Oud is both a unique and sensual fragrance. The perfume combines coriander and cardamom for a spicy freshness, leading to a sensual heart of Turkish rose. Oud and incense leave a woody, mysterious and enveloping trail, rounding out this captivating scent.

Another beautiful luxury scent is Elie Saab Nuit Noor¬†–¬†a perfume of contrasts. Beirut, the muse behind this new fragrance, is an icon of modernity in the Middle East and a city revered for its captivating contrasts. One of these is its light ‚Äď noor in Arabic ‚Äď that reflects off the sea and city, to set the velvety night sky aglow.¬†Light shines through in a honeyed bouquet of soft Rose made still more radiant by the essence of Ylang-ylang. And, to conjure the night, an accord of spicy, woody notes run throughout the composition in Black Pepper and Incense, across a majestic backdrop of Indonesian Patchouli. This scent is simply stunning!

And Serge Lutens Baptême du feu EDP Рtranslating to Baptism of Fire, this woody scent is a wonderful unisex accord, interestingly inspired by combat. Sitting somewhere between good and evil, this is a fiery scent with addictive notes of gingerbread, powdery notes, tangerine, castoreum and osmanthus. A must try for fans of Serge Lutens.

And I had to include the stunning, Penhaligon’s Oud de Nil EDP¬†–¬†part of Penhaligon‚Äôs Trade Routes Collection,¬†Oud de Nil is most definitely a tribute to Ancient Egypt in all its fragrant glory. It takes you on an olfactory cruise down the Nile, with crisp notes of grapefruit and bergamot combined with rich jasmine, oud and papyrus. Not as heavy as you’d expect, this delicate fragrance is perfect for both day and night.

Back to makeup now, with the¬†YSL¬†Extremely Set¬†– this stunning palette arrives housed in a glossy red case which can be re-used after the products are gone. Inside is a beautiful¬†make-up palette offering enough products to give a full eyes, lips and cheeks makeover –¬†there are four eyeshadows, a highlighter, two blushers, three lip shades, a lip gloss, a mini mascara and mini brushes included.

The NARS ASOS Exclusive Orgasm Blush & Illuminator Set really needs no introduction Рwith Orgasm being one of the most iconic blush shades ever made, this gorgeous set contains a full sized Orgasm Blush, as well as a mini Illuminator, in striking limited edition packaging.

On to skincare now with a couple more high end treats Рthe 111Skin Space Anti Age Emulsion is a powerful moisturiser that aims to combat signs of ageing and keep skin hydrated, leaving you with a radiant, revitalised complexion. Enriched with vitamins to repair skin, the luxurious moisturiser promotes collagen production and contains a high concentration of hyaluronic acid to retain moisture levels and plump skin for a youthful look.

And the 111Skin Space Anti Oxidant Booster utilises an advanced, anti-ageing formula that delivers an extra boost of vital antioxidants to revive your skin and protect from environmental aggressors. The concentrated blend combines vitamin C with flavonoid rich Grape seed extract to prevent premature ageing and create a defence barrier against daily pollution.

And what would luxury beauty gifting be without a high end lipstick? The YSL Rouge Pur Couture Matte Lipsticks would make fantastic Christmas gifts or stocking fillers. These beautifully packaged lipsticks promise to saturate lips with intense, stay-true colour, with medium to full coverage, and a radiant, satin finish for up to 6 hours wear.

The Nude By Nature Complexion Essentials Starter Kit is a fantastic set for those interested in trying out Nude by Nature products Рwhich really are underrated. This set contains a selection of mini sized base products, giving you the perfect opportunity to get a feel for the brand. This beautifully presented set includes a Perfecting primer, Perfecting Concealer, Loose Powder Foundation, Loose Powder Bronzer, Translucent Loose Finishing Powder and an application brush Рall housed in a leather look and rose gold case.

I just had to include the Too Faced Grande Hotel Cafe in this guide Рthis gorgeous set opens to reveal three Christmas coffee scented palettes РPeppermint Mocha, Gingerbread Coffee, and Eggnog Latte. Each palette contains six eyeshadows in both matte and shimmer finishes, one large face product pan (either a blush or bronzer) and the set also contains a deluxe size Better Than Sex Mascara and a step-by-step how-to Glamour Guide with three beauty looks to get you started.

And finally¬†back to NARS again. This is the gorgeous¬†NARS Blame It On Nars Cheek Palette¬†– this is a stunning exclusive palette containing four¬†cult-favorite shades: the gilded Satellite of Love Highlighter, two limited-edition provocative pinks‚ÄĒDay Dream and New Attitude‚ÄĒand the iconic burnished Casino Bronzing Powder, paired with a mini Kabuki Ita Brush and expressive keepsake palette for literally turning cheeks!

I hope you enjoyed my post xxx

My Love for Elie Saab Fragrances

Posted on March 14, 2016

elie-saab-fragrances

Hi Guys!

You may have noticed by now that I’m a major perfume fanatic, one brand I haven’t mentioned too much as yet though is actually one of my all time favourites – Elie Saab.

I currently have three fragrances in my Elie Saab collection, including their latest launch which is the brand new Rose Couture EDT. So I thought I’d tell you a little about them today…

elie-saab-resort-collection-review

My first Elie Saab fragrance was¬†The Resort Collection EDT.¬†It’s just the most gorgeous summery scent, and I’ll recommend this to anyone and everyone that’ll listen! The Resort Collection¬†is definitely a bit of an odd name for a perfume, and as you can probably guess it takes its name from designers’ popular ready to wear pre-season ‘Resort’ fashion collections. These always come out in the summer months – and Elie Saab has really captured the true essence of a luxurious summer holiday in this stunning fragrance. Imagine yourself lounging on a yacht, off the coast of St Tropez, with a glass of champagne – you get the idea! This scent is luxurious, with top notes of sweet fig and¬†mandarin zest, heart notes of¬†orange blossom, white jasmine¬†and¬†frangipani flower, and a base of¬†cedar and amber,¬†and it’s definitely a must have for the summer months.

elie-saab-le-parfum-review

My second Elie Saab fragrance, called simply Le Parfum EDP, is actually Elie Saab’s very first fragrance, created in 2011. It’s a gorgeous¬†every day scent, opening with beautiful¬†sun-kissed orange blossom. Jasmine absolute¬†combines with a pure, modern patchouli¬†at the heart and the base unfolds into a cedar woody accord combined with¬†rose honey.¬†It’s elegant, feminine and easy to wear – definitely another must have fragrance.

elie-saab-rose-couture

And lastly the brand new Rose Couture EDT. This is actually a re-vamped version of the above Le Parfum from 2011, so I knew I was going to love it! It is very much like Le Parfum as it does have certain notes that are the same, such as orange blossom and jasmine, but Rose Couture has the extra addition of rose and peony to give it more of a floral essence.

Opening with combination of orange blossom, silky rose petals and peony, Rose Couture gives a wonderful instant floral hit. The beautiful heart of orange blossom then mingles with jasmine and delicious rose nectar, ending with a base of voluptuous sandalwood and patchouli. If you love floral scents, Rose couture really is a must try!

Next on my list to try from Elie Saab is the La Collection des Essences range, this is a collection of four couture fragrances Elie Saab has created with master¬†Perfumer Francis Kurkdjian, and they sound simply amazing – I can’t wait to try them out!

I’d love to hear if you’re a fan of any of these scents, and¬†what your favourite perfume brands are right now? I hope you enjoyed my post xxx

January Beauty Favourites

Posted on February 6, 2015

january-2015-beauty-favourites

Hi Guys!

I’ve only just released I haven’t written a monthly favourites post since last September – oops! Anyway I’m back on the wagon now, and there have just been so may amazing products I’ve been using lately, it’s been hard to cut it down! I’ve managed to get my list down to a reasonable length now, so here are the products¬†I’ve been loving in January –

MAC Lip Pencil in Soar. Ok so I’m a bit late to the bandwagon with the whole Kylie Jenner nude lip thing, but I am a big fan of a nude lip so thought I’d snap this up when I saw it finally available on MAC’s site, and I have to say I love it! The colour is the perfect my lips but better shade and I have to say I’m keen to grab Whirl when that comes back in stock now too.

NARS Audacious Lipstick in Anita. I bought¬†this last year when the Audacious lippies were first released, and it’s the perfect partner to my Soar lip pencil. Giving beautiful creamy colour with full opacity, this has been my go to lip product since the beginning of the year.

Bare Minerals Mineral Veil Loose Powder. This is a product that I actually use all the time, but kind of automatically without realising if that makes sense! Mineral Veil is a fantastic setting powder without being heavy or cakey, it sets my foundation giving a demi-matte finish with a super lightweight feel.

Elie Saab Resort Collection Fragrance. This fragrance is simply beautiful and I haven’t been able to put it down since it arrived. Resort Collection¬†instantly¬†whisks you away on a luxurious holiday, with sunshine, cocktails, sailing boats (you know the type where people¬†lounge around drinking champers) and summer nights. It’s the perfect fragrance to brighten your mood in this dreary weather and I really can’t recommend it enough.

Bourjois Mega Eyeliner Pen. This is without a doubt one of the best pen style eyeliners I’ve ever used. The Mega Eyeliner has a slanted nib – just like a calligraphy pen – which makes it super easy to draw fine or thicker lines. The product itself is also the deepest most opaque black, and it lasts all day. I would recommend this to any eyeliner fan.

Goldfaden MD¬†Fleuressence Cell Oil.¬†I must admit I’ve only recently started trying the Fleuressence Cell Oil, but I have to say I’m completely in love already. This miracle oil encompasses 100% pure active botanicals, fruit extracts and¬†natural oil to deliver¬†powerful vitamins and nutrients deep into the¬†skin, resulting in replenished¬†hydration, improved skin colour and tone and it boosts radiance. I’ve only used this a few times but my skin already feels brighter, plumper and amazingly nourished. Full review to follow!

Stila In The Light Palette. I’m pretty sure this has been in one of my previous favourites posts. This palette is just so beautiful and versatile, I’ve found myself constantly going back to it. The shades are all so easy to wear, plus they have amazing colour payoff and stay put all day.

Milani Baked Blusher in Luminoso. I’ve only just discovered Milani products, and I’m so glad I did. Their baked eyeshadow in Luminoso is such a beautiful peachy coral shade that gives a lovely sheen to the skin and brightens the complexion. It’s the perfect¬†spring shade!

Nuxe Reve De Miel. This lip balm has instantly jumped to the top of my favourites list. It works amazingly well to soften and moisturise even the driest lips, i.e mine, and it’s lived in my handbag ever since it arrived. This is a must have if you suffer from super dry lips like I do. (FYI I googles it and Reve De Miel means ‘Honey Dream’)

Well there we have it for January’s favourites, I’m going to try my best not to forget to do February’s! I hope you enjoyed my post, and I’d love to hear if you’ve tried any of these products? xxx
