Spotted at London Fashion Week!

Posted on March 20, 2014

Hi Guys!

Today the fabulous team from Farfetch wanted to share with you some awesome snaps they took at London Fashion Week! Shout if you spot yourself or someone you know! xxx

Sometimes the most stylish people are on the street rather than the catwalk. And this year London Fashion Week and London Fashion Weekend, both held on the cobbles of Somerset House, did not disappoint. The promise of next season’s shows attracted the city’s most fashion-forward residents, as well as visitors from New York, Paris and Milan. The Farfetch team was on hand to capture the sartorial crush, and pick out moments of personal style…

Norwich Fashion Week Opening Show!

Posted on March 10, 2014

Hi Guys!

I was so excited to be invited to the opening show at Norwich Fashion Week last Thursday! I’ve never been to a proper fashion show before, so to be invited as a VIP was amazing! I took my friend Claire and we arrived early for pre show drinks then sat in the front row (oh yeah!) to watch the awesome show!

The Retailers Show was the very first show to kick off Norwich Fashion Week, it included twenty five collections from local retailers and high street stores, including John Lewis, Jarrold, Vanilla and Ginger.

There was an ongoing theme of big hair, bold colours and prints for the girls. Monochrome was also a popular look for spring summer.

And I couldn’t write this up without mentioning the boys! The above outfit from Philip Browne Menswear definitely stole the show and the model was greeted with cheers and wolf whistles as he strutted down the catwalk in his bright floral tracksuit! It looks like beards are in for spring summer too, with most of the male models sporting impressive facial fuzz. As well as that, the boys walking for Philip Browne and Jarrold both had bare feet showing off painted toe nails. I think this is really fun but I’m not sure if it will catch on! 🙂

I took some selfies with Claire but my face seemed to look weird on all of them so shoe selfie it is!

Some of my favourite outfits were from John Lewis, I think they did a fantastic job! The above outfits caught my eye as I love the summery floral print, I hunted down the dress online and it’s by Ted Baker. You should definitely check out their current collection, there are some gorgeous pieces!

And just to top it off I was given this fab goody bag from Jungle PR – thank you so much!

Inside were a whole load of goodies from some of the participating retailers, including a picture frame from John Lewis, a mini Marni perfume from Jarrold, Marshmallows from Macarons & More, a scarf from Vanilla and Barenaked Noodles from Naked Food 🙂

Next up we’re off to the Designers Show on Tuesday evening, so I’ll report back mid week!

I hope you enjoyed my post xxx

Rihanna for River Island – Hit or Miss?

Posted on February 18, 2013

We all love Rihanna, with her fierce sense of style and body to die for, every girl wants to be her. So when word got round that she was designing a collection for River island, we waited with baited breath.

I couldn’t wait for the sharp tailoring, studs and spikes, acid wash denim and sexy bodycon dresses with a nod to 90’s grunge.

What they came up with wasn’t quite what I was expecting. Take a look below…

I’m a bit disappointed.

Ok yes I can imagine Rihanna in the little lycra dresses, and even the crop tops and thigh split skirt. But the collection is just missing something for me, it just doesn’t have that edge, maybe it’s a lack of accessories? That girl does like her bling. Maybe if Rihanna was wearing the clothes herself I would feel different? I don’t know, it just seems to be missing something fierce and sexy that should be there, and I expected it to be there.

What do you think??
