Heatwave! All The Beauty Products You Need Right Now…

Posted on July 7, 2017

Hi Guys!

The warm weather has finally hit the UK, and being British, of course we just don’t know what to do with ourselves – well personally I don’t function so well in the heat, so I’ve been hiding indoors wherever possible! Today, I’ve put together a few products, aiming to help you fight the frizz with your hair, keep skin cool, and prevent makeup from sliding down your face…

So starting from the top, for hair protection I have the Phytoplage Original Protective Sun Oil (£17.00 at John Bell & Croyden) – this is a luxurious hair oil that’s perfect for protecting dry and damaged hair that has been weakened by the effects of sun exposure. It includes a natural UV filter and nourishes and moistures the hair so becomes soft and supple.

And the Phytoplage Huile Protective Sun Veil (£16.00 at John Bell & Croyden) – for those with normal to dry hair, the Protective Sun Veil offers an invisible UV filter including Sunflower Extract, Illipe Extract, White Lotus Extract and Sweet Almond to protect, hydrate and nourish hair.

If the dreaded summer frizz is a problem for you, Kerasilk have some fantastic products that can help. The Kerasilk Control De-Frizz Primer (£21.50 at Goodwill Salons) is packed with Keratin and Liquid Silk to instantly tame frizz & flyaway’s whilst working to protect against heat & humidity. And the Kerasilk Control Humidity Barrier Spray (£21.50 at Goldwell Salons) – shields styled hair from high humidity to block frizz, whilst giving a shiny, weightless finish.

Onto skincare now, the RMK Skintuner Cooling Gel – (£32.00 at Selfridges) is perfect for calming and refreshing the skin. It has a light gel formula that melts into the skin, absorbing quickly and leaving a smooth finish, without any stickiness. It contains extracts of Citrus and Bilberry, which permeate the skin, protecting against dryness, whilst helping to retain moisture.

For a cheaper alternative, the L’Oreal Hydra Genuis Moisturiser for Sensitive Skin (£9.99 at Boots) is a fantastic affordable moisturiser. Inspired by Asian skincare, Hydra Genuis promises to deliver pure moisture that penetrates quickly, deeply and continuously, without overloading the skin. It contains Aloe Vera Sap and Hyaluronic Acid to instantly refresh the skin and lock in moisture. This has a very similar texture to the above Skintuner Cooling Gel, and also promises to release continuous hydration for up to 72 hours.

I’ve also been loving the Uriage Eau Thermale Water (£8.50 at John Bell & Croyden) – this is a skincare water that you just spritz on your face whenever you want a cooling and refreshing hit. The formula contains trace elements and Mineral Salts, to moisturise, and it helps to sooth sensitive skin thanks to its high content of Calcium and Magnesium Salts.

And lastly the Bioderma Photoderm Bronz SPF50 Invisible Mist (£24.00 at John Bell & Croyden) – I have to say it really doesnt get better than this for sun protection. This invisible mist for face and body offers super high SPF50 protection combined with a 100% transparent, non oily and non sticky texture. It’s also alcohol free, doesnt dry the skin and helps to prolong your tan – what more could you need?

For makeup, the Cover FX Custom Blot Drops (£34.00 at Space NK) – are definitely worth a shot if you suffer with oily skin. These matifying drops work to control excess oil, reduce shine and clear pores. They also contain light diffusing particles to reduce the appearance of fine lines and pores whilst Chamomile Extract soothes and tones the skins texture for a flawless matte finish. You can either apply the product direct to the skin, or mix in with your foundation or moisturiser to customise results.

I also have the Vichy Dermablend Setting Powder (£13.50 at Boots) – this super lightweight, translucent setting powder is perfect for locking makeup in place, and offers a smudge and water resistant finish for up to 16 hours. It has a microfine texture that is translucent upon application, meaning it doesn’t affect the colour of your foundation, and gives a velvety matte, natural looking finish.

Clarins also have a few new products that are perfect for combatting the hot weather. The Clarins Pore Perfecting Matifying Foundation (£28.00 at Clarins) – this foundation has a matte finish and acts like an ‘imperfection eraser’ by smoothing out fine lines and pores with its micro-beads made from Acacia Gum. It promises to leave skin refreshed, smooth and comfortable.

And I love the Clarins Pore Perfecting Matifying Kit (£33.00 at Clarins) – this super handy little kit contains everything you need to smooth and mattify your skin on the go. The palette opens to reveal a transparent pressed powder to smooth the skin and mask pores, as well as refillable mattifying papers to instantly absorb shine. This kit is definitely handy to keep in your handbag over the summer months.

I’d love to hear which beauty products you rely on when the weather heats up? I hope you enjoyed my post xxx

Beauty News: L’Oreal Paris X Disney Beauty and the Beast Collection!

Posted on February 6, 2017

Hi Guys!

This is not a drill – there is a L’Oreal X Disney Beauty and the Beast collection – and it looks AMAZING…

I’ve literally just heard about this so I’ve been scouring the internet to see what I can find out. It looks like this is a limited edition collection (no surprise there) and it includes seven Colour Riche Lipsticks with seven matching Colour Riche A L’Huile Nail Polishes, with each pair representing a different character from the film.

Lipstick & Nail Polish in Belle – an intense cream red lipstick in shade 337 Perfect Red, with a matching deep blood red nail polish in shade 550 Rouge Sauvage. The packaging is again in red with a repeating golden silhouette of Belle all over.

Lipstick & Nail Polish in The Beast – L’oreal have gone with a deep brown chocolate shade of lipstick to represent the beast – this is shade 703 Oud Obsession, and the matching nail polish in 668 Royal Bleu represents his clothing. The packaging is midnight blue with golden scratches.

Lipstick & Nail Polish in Rose – obviously to represent the famous rose in the Beauty & The Beast Story, this lipstick shade is a deep red, shade 335 Carmin Saint Germain, with an interesting choice of nail polish, this is 110 Crystal, a clear top coat. The packaging for this pair is just stunning, featuring an intricate rose on top of a sparkly blue background.

Lipstick & Nail Polish in Lumiere – the famous candlestick is recreated in a beautiful nude beige colour lipstick – 231 Sepia Silk, and a delicate nude pink nail polish in 116 Cafe de Nuit. The packaging is gold and detailed to represent the markings on Lumiere the ornate candlestick.

Lipstick & Nail Polish in Mrs Potts – this super cute lipstick is a pretty shade of 285 Pink Fever with a matching nail shade in 226 Nymphea. The packaging has a shiny pearl base covered with a repeating pattern of a pink Mrs Potts.

Lipstick & Nail Polish in Plumette – L’oreal have gone with a deep plum shade, 374 Intense Plum to represent the saucy feather duster, Plumette, and matching nail shade of 556 Grenat Irreverent. The packaging has a white base, covered with plum feathers and kisses.

Lipstick & Nail Polish in Cogsworth – Cogsworth the pendulum clock is represented with an intense orange lipstick in 163 Orange Magique, and a matching nail polish in 444 Orange Triomphe. The packaging is made to look like wood, with images of cogs and gears to represent the character.

Ok so word on the street is that this collection is exclusive to Amazon Italy – and I have no idea if that’s true at the moment or not, but I’ll try my best to find out. It says online that it will be available at Amazon from 09/02/17, but I can see you can pick up the full set already here and individual lipsticks here – BUT this is Amazon Italy, therefore it’s written in Italian, so I cannot vouch for the credibility of these sellers – just thought I’d mention that.

Anyway, I’m REALLY hoping this will be available in the UK! I’ll update the post as soon as I find out more.

I hope you enjoyed my post xxx

New In Beauty: Products Worth Checking Out!

Posted on September 13, 2016

new-in-beauty-products-worth-checking-out

Hi Guys!

There have been so many fantastic beauty launches recently, I thought I’d put a post together to show you some of my favourites that are definitely worth checking out. There’s a mixture of high end as well as affordable products here, so hopefully there will be something for everyone. Get your wish lists at the ready!

loccitane-candle

Ok so let’s start with the L’Occitane La Flamme Candle (£8.00 at L’Occitane) – this just ticks all the boxes for me. You may know by now that I have a slight candle obsession, and this one smells lovely, with a delicate citrus scent, it’s also very affordable and on top of that 100% of the profits go to charity.

The limited edition La Flamme Candle has been developed in an exclusive partnership with Marie Claire in order to raise funds for the education of girls and young women in developing countries. 100% of the profits will be donated to selected charities supporting girls’ schools and education projects in Cambodia, Uganda, Sierre Leone and Burkina Faso – this is a must have!

clarins-lancome-pur

Next, a couple of new products from one of my favourite beauty brands, Clarins. I love Clarins lips products and their Instant Light Natural Lip Perfectors (18.00) and Daily Energiser Lip Balm (£18.00, both at John Lewis) are just gorgeous every-day products.

The Instant Light Natural Lip Perfectors now come in three new shades – Pink Shimmer, Orange Shimmer and Red Shimmer – giving lips an instant plump, glossy shine which nourishes and prevents dehydration. And the Daily Energiser Lip Balm offers 8 hours of hydration whilst smoothing and plumping – it also subtly enhances the colour of your lips.

Another favourite brand of mine, Lancome have recently launched their Grandiose Liner (£23.00) and Extreme Mascara (£25.00) both at House of Fraser.

The Grandiôse Liner is a truly innovative product offering a bendable wand which you can angle pretty much however you like, to help you get right into the base of the lashes and create the perfect line. It also has an ultra fine tip for creating a super sharp cat-eye, and the product formula has a long-lasting, smudge-resistant matte finish. The Grandiôse Extrême Mascara also features a ‘Swan-Neck’ wand and high-precision brush which grabs lashes close to the roots to beautifully fan them out on application. Grandiose Extreme gives extreme volume and an ultra intense longwear look for up to 24 hours.

And the Pur Cosmetics HydraFluid Water Serum Foundation (£28.00 at Beauty Bay) – I actually have a fantastic powder compact from Pur which I’ve been using for a long time, so I was excited to try out their latest foundation offering. The Hydra Fluid Water Serum Foundation utilises a unique Water Complex which combines water sourced from the Swiss Alps to penetrate the deepest layers of the skin with intense hydration. The formula is thin and watery, feeling lightweight on the skin and giving light to medium coverage. Those with dry or dehydrated skin who are looking for a lightweight base should definitely check this out.

sleek

Colour correcting products are everywhere at the moment, and this Sleek Colour Corrector Palette (£7.99 at Boots) is a fantastic budget option. It contains six easy-to-blend colour correctors to minimise skin imperfections and counteract discolouration, leaving you with an even base for flawless foundation application.

And if you’re looking for some new lip balms on the cheap, this I Heart Makeup I Heart My Lips Set (£10.00 at Tam Beauty) could be right up your street. The set includes five pill shaped balms in an assortment of flavours for only £10.00 – so there’s one for your bag, your desk, your car… you get the idea!

chantecaille-espa

On the subject of lip balms, the ESPA Nourishing Lip Treatment (£19.00 at John Lewis) is definitely worth picking up if you’re looking for something a little more intensive. This nourishing Lip Treatment is packed with active ingredients to instantly smooth and soften the lips, whilst adding a hint of gloss. My dry lips have been loving this lately!

While we’re talking about lips, if you’re looking to treat yourself, personally I think you can’t beat a lipstick. And if you’re feeling pretty flush, a Chantecaille Lipstick (£30.00 at Space NK) is definitely worth the money – this lipstick is smooth and comfortable, and the formula is enriched with vitamins A and C and emollient amino acids for a super luxurious feel on the lips.

loreal-french-girl-body-shop-tea-tree

On to hair now – L’Oreal Professional have a couple of new styling products, in the form of French Froisse Texture Definition Cream, and Messy Cliche Texture Definition Spray (£11.95 each at HQ Hair). So basically the cream is for thick hair, and the spray is for fine hair, and they both pretty much do the same thing, giving you tousled, textured lengths with natural shine.

And not forgetting The Body Shop Tea Tree 3-in-1 wash scrub mask (£8.00 at The Body Shop) – this is a multi-use 3-in-1 product which can be used as a wash to remove excess oil, a scrub to exfoliate and unclog pores, or a mask to combat blemishes and tighten pores. I love multi-tasking products and I know this will definitely get a lot of use in my household.

soap-and-glory

Soap and Glory are alway coming up with gorgeous new products, and their latest The Righteous Butter Diamond Edition (£8.00 at Soap & Glory) is a must have for S&G fans! This is basically a re-vamped edition of their famous Righteous Butter, with added pearlescent shimmer, mica powders and real diamond dust!

erborian-w7-kiehls-new

Next we have the Erborian Liquid BB Creme Au Ginseng ($48.00 at Sephora) – I love a cushion foundation and Erborian’s Liquid BB Cream is a fantastic compact. It contains Ginseng, known in Korea for its smoothing properties and gives lightweight, sheer coverage to help even out skin tone, leaving the complexion feeling fresh and moisturised.

I also love the new W7 Shade & Swap (£4.95 at W7) – this handy little pot instantly cleans your makeup brushes so you can swap between colours quickly and easily. Just sweep your brush over the sponge a couple of times and Bob’s your uncle!

Kiehls is another favourite skincare brand of mine, and their MTV Staying Alive Ultra Facial Cream (£43.50 at John Lewis) is definitely worth picking up if you’re in need of a new moisturiser. This Limited edition Ultra Facial Cream continuously replenishes moisture throughout the day, leaving skin feeling smooth, soft and hydrated. And for each pot sold, Kiehl’s will give £10.00 to the MTV Staying Alive Foundation to support 3 projects around the world to empower young women.

L’Oreal Paris Miss Hippie Mascara: #FESTIVALREADY

Posted on July 19, 2016

loreal-mega-volume-miss-hippie-mascara

Hi Guys!

L’Oreal have just sent over the most wonderful package of goodies, promising to get me #FestivalReady this summer! I’m not actually going to any festivals – but I won’t let that stop me from rocking this awesome floral headband and amazing holo raincoat though! 🙂

loreal-hippie-mascara-review

The Mega Volume Miss Hippie Mascara is one of L’Oreal’s latest releases – it has a large and fuzzy brush with ‘kaleidoscopic bristles’ to coat your lashes, layer by layer, for a feathery lash look. The mega impact formula promises to instantly volumise and thicken the look of your lashes for a festival-ready look this summer…

loreal-hippie-mascara-wand

On initial look at the brush, I though the Miss Hippie Mascara would definitely suit someone with longer lashes – just because the brush is on the large side, and because I have short stumpy lashes, I often find a large brush can be difficult to apply mascara with. Well I was quite surprised that I actually really liked this brush! I think it’s a really nice length, and the bristles themselves are on the shorter side, so maybe this is why it worked well for me.

I’ve tried both the standard and waterproof versions and I have to say they really seem quite different. The standard Miss Hippie was definitely my favourite, the formula was a really nice consistency, coated my lashes well and didn’t clump up on application. I felt like the waterproof formula was harder to apply on my short lashes (and managed to make a mess around my eye) – it seemed a bit wetter and heavier, and gave a slightly more intense look.

Both mascaras gave really good volume as well as length, and slight curl to my poker straight lashes. They both lasted all day with no flaking, and no problems whatsoever!

loreal-hippie-mascara-waterproof

Overall I really like both products, and the standard Miss Hippie is now my new go-to mascara 🙂

You can see I also have a selection of L’Oreal Paris Nude Magique Cushion Foundations and as well as a L’Oreal Paris Glam Bronze Healthy Glow compact too, which I’ll be trying out, swatching and reviewing for you very very shortly 🙂

L’Oreal Paris Miss Hippie Mascara is £7.99 at Boots, and the waterproof version is £7.99 too, available here.

I hope you enjoyed my post xxx

NEW L’Oreal Paris Infallible Sexy Balms #SuperBalm

Posted on June 28, 2016

NEW-LOreal-Infallible-Sexy-Balms

Hi Guys!

The latest offering from L’Oreal Paris has just landed – the Infallible Sexy Balms!

The idea of a Sexy Balm (which I do feel a bit silly saying if I’m to be honest) is that it’s an on-the-go, wherever-you-are, throw it on and Bob’s your uncle kind of product. This isn’t a precision application lip product, it’s super easy to use as well as being packed with a ton of moisture to keep lips feeling nothing less than fabulous for up to 12 hours.

The Sexy Balm formula is enriched with a moisturising gel balm, giving a weightless silky velvet texture and vibrant pigmentation, for colour that packs a punch. And there are two finishes available – Sheer for a subtle tint of moisturising colour, and Bold for a more intense and daring look.

LOreal-Infallible-Sexy-Balms-sheer-review

The Sheer Colour Sexy Balms come in five shades –

  • 102 Gossip – a light nude peachy pink.
  • 103 As If – a mid nude pink.
  • 104 Break the Rules – a muted coral pink.
  • 109 Such A Babe – a bright orange toned red.
  • 111 Go Pretty or Go Home – a bright purple toned fuchsia.

LOreal-Infallible-Sexy-Balms-sheer-swatches

The Sheer shades are amazingly moisturising, just like a lip balm, and they smell super sweet and juicy. If you have dry lips like I do these are definitely a must have for your handbag this summer! I’ve been trying out a couple of shades since yesterday and I haven’t needed to apply an actual lip balm once – I usually apply balm at least once or twice a day – so these definitely get a thumbs up from me.

LOreal-Infallible-Sexy-Balms-bold-review

And the Bold Colour Sexy Balms come in three shades –

  • 202 Adventure – an intense bright fuchsia pink.
  • 204 Never Stop – a bright orange coral.
  • 203 Yala Yolo – an intense bright blue toned red.

LOreal-Infallible-Sexy-Balms-bold-swatches

The Bold shades are amazingly bright and intensely pigmented, with a satin sheen finish. These are also surprisingly moisturising and feel really comfortable on the lips.

LOreal-Infallible-Sexy-Balms-review

I have to say the Sexy Balms are definitely one of my favourite L’Oreal products of late, they tick all the boxes for me – moisturising, easy to use and wear, and I love that L’Oreal have included two formulas for both sheer and full on looks.

L’Oreal Sexy Balms are £4.99 each and available now at Boots.

Beauty News & Gossip 04/06/16: Jeffree Star / Grav3yard Girl / Christian Louboutin and more.

Posted on June 4, 2016

Hi Guys!

Following on from my Youtuber Collaborations post from a couple of weeks ago, I thought I’d follow up with another new and updated beauty news and gossip post – enjoy!

grav3yard-girl-tarte-collaboration-products

Starting off with the Tarte X Grav3yardgirl collaboration – it’s now been revealed that Bunny is releasing a rather gorgeous looking palette, which includes nine eyeshadows, and a blush, bronzer and highlight. There are also two liquid lipsticks as part of the collection, a mauvey nude and a classic bright Bunny red shade. You can check out her Youtube for more info and swatches of everything, and the collection will be available at Sephora on 06/06/16.

jeffree-star-skin-frosts-broken

Jeffree Star has also recently launched his first ever eyeshadow palette, called Beauty Killer, as well as four Skin Frost highlighters. There’s been quite a bit of drama on social media surrounding the Skin Frosts as many of them have been arriving smashed – especially shade King Tut shown above. This has also affected the UK availability of the range as UK distributor Cocktail Cosmetics posted on their Facebook page that around a third of their delivery arrived smashed. This post has since been removed but they have added an update on their site here. Jeffree has said he will be offering refunds or replacements to any affected customers that have purchased from his site.

jeffree-star-lip-shades-summer-2016

On a more positive note, Jeffree Star has also announced he will be launching five new shades of Velour Liquid Lipstick around mid July, including the above shade, Virginity. I can’t wait to see what the others are like!

jaclyn-hill-champagne-glow-collection

You must have heard by now about the beautiful Becca X Jaclyn Hill collection? I snapped up the palette when it was released at Sephora, and it really is beautiful! There’s also an eyeshadow palette with five neutral shadows, and Champagne Pop is now available in liquid form as a Shimmering Skin Perfector, and a cream to powder in the Shimmering Skin Perfector Poured Creme too.

loreal-infallible-pro-glow-foundation

L’oreal have also just launched their latest foundation – The Infallible Pro Glow Foundation. Firstly, this is serious hot property at the moment, everyone’s gone crazy for it and it’s literally selling out everywhere it’s stocked. I tried to get my hands on some but wasn’t quick enough. Secondly, the arm swatches above show the full shade range, which is prefect for pale skinned ladies – but what about darker skin tones? This shade selection is severely lacking darker colours – and people have been making it clear that they’re not impressed. It seems that L’Oreal have taken note of what the public have been saying though, and have promised to bring out more darker shades 🙂

cover-fx-new-liquid-highlighters

Next, one of the latest brands to jump on the highlighter craze is Cover Fx. Their new Custom Enhancer Drops contain four liquid highlighters and two bronzers – and they look amazing! They will be available online at Sephora on 16/06/16.

cover-fx-custom-enhancer-drops-swatches

Here are the swatches – I can’t wait to get my hands on these!

nikkie-tutorials-too-faced-collection

My last post mentioned Nikkie Tutorials’ collaboration with Too Faced, but at that the time there was very little information available. Since then more images have been popping up online, and the Power of Makeup palette looks just fabulous! It contains nine eyeshadow shades, two cute heart shaped blushers and a bronzer and highlight. There’s also a purple mascara, a primer, eyeliner and a little pot of something else, possibly a pigment. The collection will be available at Sephora in August.

too-faced-totally-cute-palette

I also love the look of Too Faced’s Totally Cute palette which you can customise with Too Faced stickers. I love this idea! This will be available on the Too Faced site on 15/06/16.

too-faced-sketch-marker-liquid-art-eyeliners

And lastly from Too Faced, their Sketch Marker Liquid Art Eyeliners look amazing! They look just like colouring pens and the shade selection is fun and summery. I can’t wait to see what these are like in the flesh – these will be available in the Autumn.

mac-new-lipstick-shades

MAC will also shortly be releasing a massive collection of new lipstick shades. We all know MAC are renowned for thinking outside the box and offering a wide selection of shades, but there really are some weird and whacky ones here! I’m not sure when they will be available here in the UK as yet but I’ll try my best to find out.

amrezy-lipland-cosmetics-collection

And the flawless Insta celeb, Amrezy has recently launched a collection of three liquid lipsticks with Lipland Cosmetics. I love the look of these shades – please do let me know you have them, I’d love to hear what they’re like!

christian-louboutin-lip-lacquers-july-2016

I HAD to include this stunning picture too – in case you hadn’t guessed, these are the latest offerings from Christian Louboutin beauty. These stunning products are his brand new Lip Lacquers, coming out in July. You know they’re going to be crazy expensive, but just look how gorgeous they are!!

anastasia-beverly-hills-sun-dipped-glow-kit

Next, Anastasia Beverly Hills have recently added to their Glow Kits, with the Sun Dipped palette. This highlighter palette contains four beautiful sun kissed highlighter shades.

anastasia-beverly-hills-modern-renaissance-palette

And lastly, I couldn’t include Anastasia Beverly Hills without mentioning their other latest launch – the modern Renaissance eyeshadow palette. This looks so beautiful – red, pink and orange eyeshadow shades are really having a moment right now. This is available now along with he Sun Dipped palette on the ABH site. If I hadn’t already picked up the Manny MUA Makeup Geek palette and the Violet Voss Holy Grail, I’d definitely be snapping this up!

So there we have it – please do let me know if you enjoyed my Beauty News and Gossip post and I’ll try to make it a regular feature 🙂 xxx

Six Fab Beauty Products That Won’t Break The Bank…

Posted on January 31, 2016

boots-beauty-box

Hi Guys!

I was recently sent over a fantastic box of beauty products that are new in at Boots, and I had no idea what was going to turn up – which was very exciting. So when the box arrived it was great to find a mixture of brands, including one which I’ve never tried, and a couple that I haven’t tried for a good few years too…

Collection-#YourStyleYourMood-Eyeshadow-Palette

First up is the Collection #YourStyleYourMood Eyeshadow Palette (£5.99) – Now I haven’t used Collection products in a loooong time, I mean, the last time I remember using them was when they were called Collection 2000 and I was in my teens. So even though I’m not familiar with their current products, I know they’re still a popular budget brand, and they also used to be one of the go-to brands back in the day for teens where I live too!

This dinky little palette comes in a cardboard casing, with matte and shimmer shades. The idea is that whatever your mood the #YourStyleYourMood Palette allows you to create the perfect eye look to reflect your style – I’d say it includes a nice selection of neutral colours that would work well for day time or evening, but there’s nothing in there that’s too outrageous – which I would have expected by the #YourStyleYourMood name. Maybe one or two brighter colours would have been a nice addition?

Loreal-Paris-Super-Liner-Perfect-Slim-eyeliner

loreal-perfect-slim-eyeliner-pen

Next is the L’oreal Paris Super Liner Perfect Slim (£6.99) – Now you know I do love a good eyeliner, and my weapon of choice is always a pencil or a pen version, so this is is right up my street. This Perfect Slim liner has a long, flexible nib, with a very fine point. It gives a fantastic intense black line, that’s easy to draw and define due to the long pointed nib. This is a fantastic eyeliner for creating a sharp cat-eye flick.

Eyelure-Party-Lashes-Frozen-Beauty

Next we have the Eyelure Party Lashes in Frozen Beauty (£6.95) – I don’t often wear lashes except for the odd night out (and I don’t get out that often these days!) but when I have worn lashes, Eyelure are my brand of choice. This is just because lashes are expensive, and rather than waste £5+ per set on something that I might not like, I know I can trust Eyelure to do the job.

These Frozen Beauty lashes feature a fluffy and full lash, interspersed with shimmering silver ribbon that catches the light beautifully. I love that Eyelure lashes are easy to apply and remove, and if you’re careful you can re-use them multiple times too.

Barry-M-Flawless-Chisel-Cheeks-Contour-Kit

Up next is the Barry M Flawless Chisel Cheeks Contour Kit (£6.49) – I’m so glad this was included in the box! I’ve been meaning to pick up a budget contour kit for ages, just out of curiosity as I always use my Anastasia palette and hadn’t tried any budget versions as yet.

The Barry M Chisel Cheeks Contour Kit is a handy little travel-sized palette, including a light powder to highlight, a bronzer to warm, and a dark powder to sculpt for a perfectly enhanced appearance. The shades are not too dark or intense – so perfect for those with paler complexions like myself, and the product can also be built up easily, so it would still work well if you were looking for a bit more depth of colour.

Sleek-Makeup-Precious-Metals-Highlighting-Palette

Next is the Sleek Makeup Precious Metals Highlighting Palette (£9.99) – I love Sleek Cosmetics, they’re one of my favourite, if not my actual favourite budget high street brand. They also keep coming up with gorgeous new products!

The Precious Metals Highlighting Palette is a fantastic versatile highlighting palette for use on both the face and body. It features three velvet cream highlighters and one powder highlighter which can be used in a multitude of ways to give skin a beautiful luminous glow.

These highlighters really do give the loveliest iridescent and metallic finishes, wether you’re looking for detailed highlight on the face, or an all-over body glow, this little kit will have the right highlight for you.

Nail-Apothecary-Gel-Effect-Top-Coat

And lastly, the Nail Apothecary Gel Effect Top Coat (£6.95) – Nail Apothecary is a brand new brand to me, that I hadn’t even heard of. They supply a range of nail care products, including various top coats, fillers and nail treatments. The Gel Effect Top Coat creates a plumping effect on the nails, giving a high shine, gel like look which is long lasting and chip resistant – a definite must have for fans of the DIY manicure!

boots-beauty-box-products

Well, I’m beyond impressed with this fab little selection of products, I haven’t used a couple of these brands for a while now and I’m so glad I’ve re-discovered them. I’d love to hear if you’ve tried any of these products?

I hope you enjoyed my post! xxx
