January Beauty Favourites

Posted on February 6, 2015

Hi Guys!

I’ve only just released I haven’t written a monthly favourites post since last September – oops! Anyway I’m back on the wagon now, and there have just been so may amazing products I’ve been using lately, it’s been hard to cut it down! I’ve managed to get my list down to a reasonable length now, so here are the products I’ve been loving in January –

MAC Lip Pencil in Soar. Ok so I’m a bit late to the bandwagon with the whole Kylie Jenner nude lip thing, but I am a big fan of a nude lip so thought I’d snap this up when I saw it finally available on MAC’s site, and I have to say I love it! The colour is the perfect my lips but better shade and I have to say I’m keen to grab Whirl when that comes back in stock now too.

NARS Audacious Lipstick in Anita. I bought this last year when the Audacious lippies were first released, and it’s the perfect partner to my Soar lip pencil. Giving beautiful creamy colour with full opacity, this has been my go to lip product since the beginning of the year.

Bare Minerals Mineral Veil Loose Powder. This is a product that I actually use all the time, but kind of automatically without realising if that makes sense! Mineral Veil is a fantastic setting powder without being heavy or cakey, it sets my foundation giving a demi-matte finish with a super lightweight feel.

Elie Saab Resort Collection Fragrance. This fragrance is simply beautiful and I haven’t been able to put it down since it arrived. Resort Collection instantly whisks you away on a luxurious holiday, with sunshine, cocktails, sailing boats (you know the type where people lounge around drinking champers) and summer nights. It’s the perfect fragrance to brighten your mood in this dreary weather and I really can’t recommend it enough.

Bourjois Mega Eyeliner Pen. This is without a doubt one of the best pen style eyeliners I’ve ever used. The Mega Eyeliner has a slanted nib – just like a calligraphy pen – which makes it super easy to draw fine or thicker lines. The product itself is also the deepest most opaque black, and it lasts all day. I would recommend this to any eyeliner fan.

Goldfaden MD Fleuressence Cell Oil. I must admit I’ve only recently started trying the Fleuressence Cell Oil, but I have to say I’m completely in love already. This miracle oil encompasses 100% pure active botanicals, fruit extracts and natural oil to deliver powerful vitamins and nutrients deep into the skin, resulting in replenished hydration, improved skin colour and tone and it boosts radiance. I’ve only used this a few times but my skin already feels brighter, plumper and amazingly nourished. Full review to follow!

Stila In The Light Palette. I’m pretty sure this has been in one of my previous favourites posts. This palette is just so beautiful and versatile, I’ve found myself constantly going back to it. The shades are all so easy to wear, plus they have amazing colour payoff and stay put all day.

Milani Baked Blusher in Luminoso. I’ve only just discovered Milani products, and I’m so glad I did. Their baked eyeshadow in Luminoso is such a beautiful peachy coral shade that gives a lovely sheen to the skin and brightens the complexion. It’s the perfect spring shade!

Nuxe Reve De Miel. This lip balm has instantly jumped to the top of my favourites list. It works amazingly well to soften and moisturise even the driest lips, i.e mine, and it’s lived in my handbag ever since it arrived. This is a must have if you suffer from super dry lips like I do. (FYI I googles it and Reve De Miel means ‘Honey Dream’)

Well there we have it for January’s favourites, I’m going to try my best not to forget to do February’s! I hope you enjoyed my post, and I’d love to hear if you’ve tried any of these products? xxx

August Beauty Favourites!

Posted on September 9, 2014

Hi Guys!

Ok I have quite a large list of favourites for August, some have been reviewed already and some I haven’t had a chance to yet, so I thought I’d tell you about them today. I also wanted to include my Christian Louboutin Nail Polish but I’VE LOST IT. I know, how do you lose an eight inch spiky nail polish? I’ve probably put it ‘somewhere safe’ and I’ll find it soon, I hope, but yeah that would have been included here! Otherwise I’ve got a good mix of makeup, skincare and fragrance to tell you about…

Alesha Rose Quartz EDT Fragrance* – Now I’m not often a fan of celebrity fragrances, actually if a celebrity brings out a perfume I’m more likely to look the other way, compared to a beauty or luxury brands (sorry I’m a it of a fragrance snob) So when I was sent this to try out I didn’t expect too much, simply due to my own preconceptions. But hand on heart I actually love this fragrance! It’s a pretty classic floral scent with notes of bergamot, grapefruit, rose, amber, patchouli and musk. It’s perfect for every day and it’s only £25 for a massive 100ml bottle so it’s going to last for ages, what a bargain! I’d definitely recommend trying this if you’re poking for a lovely every day fragrance that won’t break the bank.

Sleek i-Divine Eyeshadow Palette in Au Naturel* – I’m such a big fan of Sleek’s i-Divine palettes, they’re fantastic quality but with a budget price tag, and with ten shades per palette you have everything you need in a handy slim makeup bag sized palette. The shades in the Au Naturel palette are perfect for every day wear, with darker shades included too so you easily go from a day to evening look.

Sleek Lipstick in Liqueur* – This is my absolute perfect nude pink lipstick shade, I was actually surprised how much I loved this! It’s such a great colour for my pale skin tone, it warms up my complexion without being too dark. It looks really natural and just makes me feel a bit more polished.

Essie Nail polish in Sittin Pretty – I love this colour so much! It’s a bright neon cream shade of purple, it’s so summery, and yes I know it’s now Autumn but I’m not letting go of the summer just let! Plus as it’s a neon it looks great with a tan 🙂 – which I don’t have, I’m just saying in case you do have one!

Bioderma Hydrabio Exfoliating Cream and Moisturising Mask* – Bioderma are a brand new brand for me, I’ve never used their products before so when I was offered to try their Exfoliating Cream and Moisture Mask I was thrilled. I’ve heard many good things about Bioderma, and especially as these two products part of the Hydrabio range for dry, dehydrated and sensitive skin – check, check and check over here – they sounded perfect for me. The exfoliating cream contains patented Aquagenium technology which is a biological complex that stimulates the skin’s cellular capabilities, re-training it to generate in depth, and to lock in essential moisture. I found this scrub very effective and followed by the Moisturising Mask my skin was left feeling amazingly soft and supple. These products are definitely going to be purchased again!

So…? Fresh-Tival Gift Set* – This sweet little set contains two dry shampoos, one to freshen up and one for volume, and two body sprays. I threw the volumising shampoo and one of the body sprays in my bag an was quite surprised when I realised how many times I’ve reached for them in the last month. My hair is really fine, so it’s super handy to have a little bottle of volume in my bag for when I need it on the go!

YSL Fusion Ink Foundation – This foundation is EVERTHING. I won’t go into too much detail as you can read all about it in my review, but I genuinely believe this is the foundation release of the year. Whether you have dry, sensitive, oily or normal skin, I haven’t seen a bad review of this product yet. You need to try this.

Magnitone Lucid* – Since I’ve been using the Lucid, my skin has officially never felt cleaner. I don’t think I’l ever look back! Take a look at my review for all the details!

So that’s about it I for August! I could have put many more products in but you’d be reading  this forever! I’d love to hear which products you’ve been loving lately, and if there’s anything you think I should try this month? xxx

June Beauty Favourites!

Posted on July 4, 2014

Hi Guys!

It was pretty hard to cut down my favourites for last month, I’ve been loving so many products! Some of these I’ve already blogged about and some I haven’t had a chance to yet, so take a look and let me know what you think! 🙂

A’Kin Macadamia & Wheat Protein Conditioner – This stuff is fantastic! It’s perfect for dry and damaged hair and it helps to provide maximum moisture to make your hair hydrated and shiny. Which we all need in this weather, right?

Makeup Revolution What you Waiting For Eyeshadow Palette – You may have already seen my many reviews on Makeup Rev, these guys are taking the beauty word by storm at the moment, and they just seem to keep bringing out amazing budget cosmetics! I can’t wait to see what’s next up their sleeves!

MAC Kelly Osbourne Jolly Good MSF – These littly babies sold out super fast, and if you were lucky enough to get your hands on one of these you’ll know why it’s in my June favourites! This duo MSF is a fab super soft bronzer and blush powder that’s the perfect shade for fairer skin tones like mine!

Tanya Burr Nail Polish in Penguin Chic – I know this is a grey shade, which isn’t exactly summery but I can’t help but love it! Work with me here – just imagine this on tanned skin, with summery white clothing, flip flops, hints of neon and long salt spray wavy hair, you get me?

Indeed Labs Hydraluron Moisture Booster – Oh this! Just this. I’ll have the full review up for this shortly so I won’t go into too much detail but it’s such a fabulous product for keeping your skin hydrated in this weather, I don’t think I’ll ever look back!

Too Faced Melted Lipstick in Melted Violet – I’m saying nothing. Just click on the link 😉

Crabtree& Evelyn Pomegranate, Argan & Grapeseed Body Scrub – This is a fab body scrub that smells as yummy as it sounds, it’s rich in antioxidants and contains a nourishing blend of pomegranate, sunflower, jojoba, pumpkin, and sesame seed oils replenish and soften the skin.

Ok so that’s about it for my June favourites, I could probably include another 10 products but we’d be here forever! I’d love to hear if you’ve tried any of these? xxx

April Beauty Favourites!

Posted on May 7, 2014

Hi Guys!

Well I’ve been blogging for over a year now and I’ve only just realised I’ve never actually done a monthly favourites post! I’m not sure why, I always read other bloggers’ posts. I think I just never got round to it – and I’m never organised enough either! This is something I’d really like to start doing though – I love the idea of a round up of my favourite items for the month. Most of my favourites I’ve blogged about already but there are a couple in here that I haven’t had a chance to tell you about yet.

Oh and I’ll also be posting a non-beauty monthly favourites post too! 🙂

So first up is the fabulous Steam Cream. I’ve been using this every day since it arrived in the post and my skin can’t get enough of it! It’s super moisturising and leaves my tired skin feeling hydrated and happy!

Avene Soothing Hydrating Serum – I’ve been throwing this on after moisturising and again, my skin just loves it! The cooling effect of the serum is heavenly and my skin has just been drinking this product up!

Yves Rocher So Elixir Purple EDP – Another every day favourite. This perfume is spot on for me; floral, but not too girly, and light enough to wear every day. I’ll be sad when it runs out!

Hask Macadamia Oil Moisturizing Shampoo, Monoi Oil Nourishing Conditioner and Macadamia Oil Exotic Shine Treatment, from Primark. These three unsupposing and inexpensive products have been working wonders for my hair this last month. The shampoo smells divine, and the conditioner smells of coconuts (just like a Sienna spray tan if you’ve ever had one) My hair is definitely feeling stronger and a lot less dry after using these three!

EOS Blueberry Lip Balm – I’m a bit of a newbie to EOS, I know they’ve been around for a while but I’ve only recently bought this lip balm, and I have to say I’m really impressed! It sits on my desk at work and I apply a few times a day. My lips have definitely never felt so good!

The Elemis Radiance Collection in Illuminating, does exactly what it says on the tin. My skin feels clean, fresh and glowing after using these products – I can’t recommend them enough!

And lastly, MAC Heroine Lipstick. This is definitely a keeper! The most fabulous, in your face, vibrant matte purple lipstick. And it doesn’t dry your lips out, result!

So I think that’s about it for April’s favourites, I’d love to hear if you’ve tried any of these products?

I hope you enjoyed my post! xxx
