Hi Guys!

I really think that fragrance is one of the best Christmas gifts you can give – especially if you choose well! I’ve gathered together today ten stunning scents that any fragrance fan would be thrilled to open on Christmas morning – enjoy!

Starting with Elie Saab Girl of Now EDP (£62.00 for 90ml at Feel Unique) – I absolutely love Elie Saab fragrances, and Girl of Now has just shot to the top of my favourites list! It’s a gourmand floral scent designed to celebrate women, opening with notes of Roasted Pistachio and juicy sparkling Pear, leading to a heart of Bitter Almond and Orange Blossom Absolute, and Tonka Bean and Patchouli are blended together at the base. The bottle is gorgeous too, inspired by Elie Saab’s jewellery line.

  • Heart Notes: Bitter Almond and Orange Blossom Absolute
  • Base Notes: Tonka Bean and Patchouli

Feel Unique are also offering a fab engraving service this Christmas, so you can get your loved one’s initial engraved on the bottle as an added personal touch.

Next I have Tory Burch Love Relentlessly EDP (£56.70 for 50ml at Debenhams) – This fragrance has been designed to capture the euphoric feeling of falling in love. Opening with top notes of fiery Pink Pepper and juicy Pink Grapefruit, leading to a floral heart and a warm base of Sandalwood and Tonka Bean – this scent is a must try!

  • Heart Notes: Rose Essential, Orris, Jasmine Sambac, Patchouli and Amber
  • Base Notes: Australian Sandalwood, Vetiver, Cedarwood and Tonka Bean Absolute

And Mont Blanc Lady Emblem Elixir (£54.00 for 50ml at The Perfume Shop) – The latest offering from Mont Blanc is Lady Emblem Elixir, a floral, woody, oriental fragrance created for the unique, sophisticated and strong woman. This is a wonderfully sophisticated scent that’s both striking yet easy to wear.

Next the stunning Moschino Gold Fresh Couture EDP (£60.00 for 50ml at Feel Unique) – Gold Fresh Couture is the third edition in Moschino’s Fresh Couture line. This time, the scent is presented in a solid gold coloured bottle, keeping the same spray cleaner shape as its predecessors. The scent opens with bright and playful notes of Yellow Mandarine Orpur, Pear and Rhubarb Granita and exquisite White Vine Peach. A floral heart of Jasmine, Mahonial and Golden Chain Orchid leads to a sensual dry-down of Sandalwood, Musk, Vanilla and Akigalawood which rounds out this beautiful fragrance.

And I had to include Jimmy Choo Rose Gold Edition (£53.00 for 60ml at Feel Unique) – Jimmy Choo fragrances are just so wearable, they’re perfect for gifting. The new limited edition Rose Gold Edition is an opulent chypre gourmand scent that celebrates the sophisticated and sparkling aspect of the Jimmy Choo woman. With its top notes of Candied Orange and Tiger Orchid, a heart of Toffee and base notes of Sandalwood and Indonesian Patchouli, Jimmy Choo Rose Gold Edition envelopes the wearer with sensuality and elegance.

I also wanted to include the latest from Marc Jacobs – Marc Jacobs Decadence Eau So Decadent EDT (£63.00 for 50ml at Feel Unique) – This gorgeous floral scent is basically a lighter version of the original Decadance fragrance (which I also love). This perfume opens with top notes of Nashi Pear, Blackcurrant and Green Ivy, with a floral heart of Pink Lily of the Valley, Magnolia and Jasmine. I also have the gorgeous Jean Paul Gaultier Scandal EDP (£63.50 for 50ml at Boots) – the first ever JPG fragrance without a bust for a bottle – Scandal is all about the legs! I simply love this scent, and personally, I think of Scandal as Classique’s sibling, and I guarantee fans of Classique will love this. It has a distinct femininity, with top notes of juicy Blood Orange and Gardenia, balanced by Honey at the heart and a base of Patchouli.

  • Top Notes: Blood Orange and Gardenia
  • Heart Notes: Honey
  • Base Notes: Patchouli

I also have Michael Kors Sexy Ruby (£59.40 for 50ml at Debenhams) – Though I’m not really a fan of the name, Sexy Ruby is a gorgeous sensual fragrance that’s perfect for evening wear. Michael Kors Sexy Ruby is a modern chypre scent opening with juicy Raspberry, Apricot, Davana and Pepper, leading to a heart of luscious Rose Petals and intoxicating Indian Jasmine Sambac. And the base is rounded off by the sensual warmth of Cashmere Woods and Vanilla Bean.

This is a must have for Daisy fans!

Beauty News: Sephora X Moschino Golden Teddy Collection!

Posted on July 16, 2017

Hi Guys!

I’ve literally just heard about the upcoming Sephora X Moschino collaboration collection, and I instantly had to find out as much as I could! I LOVE Moschino, so I can’t even tell you how excited I am!! 😀

Ok so this is Moschino’s first ever makeup line – they already have a selection of fragrances available, but this is their first dabble with makeup. In collaboration with Sephora Collection, Moschino will be launching a seven piece collection at Sephora in August. Some of the stand out products include –

  • A ‘This is not a Moschino toy’ Bear Eyeshadow Palette ($60.00) – this palette is said to be LARGE!
  • A Bear Brush Set ($68.00) – including five brushes with bear heads.
  • A Bear Head Highlighter Palette ($28.00) – including two highlighter shades.
  • A Bear Lip Gloss Chain Necklace ($40.00) – including six lip glosses.
  • A Moschino Logo Shopping Bag Mini Eyeshadow Palette ($23.00)

Other items in the collection include a Bear Eye Mask ($25.00) made of super-soft faux fur, as well as a Bear Compact Mirror ($28.00). The whole range features the iconic Moschino teddy bear, and each product also has a striking high shine gold finish.

And I have to say, I’m really impressed with the price points too, considering Moschino is a high end luxury brand, the prices are very reasonable indeed. Moschino creative director Jeremy Scott explained that that keeping the collection affordable was important to him –

I learned very early on how much young people love my work, and sometimes they don’t have the means to get it. This is another way for me to do Moschino and not sacrifice quality. It’s a lot more accessible. I love to be able to put my arms around more people and have them be a part of the Moschino family in some capacity.

From what I can see, the collection will be available at Sephora in August, I’ll update this post as soon as I know the exact release dates. Seriously though, just looking at this packaging makes me HAPPY!

Are you as excited about this collection as I am? I hope you enjoyed my post xxx

Fragrance: Moschino Pink Fresh Couture EDT

Posted on June 6, 2017

Hi Guys!

You may remember about a year and a half ago when Moschino launched their original Fresh Couture fragrance – now they’ve just released their follow up scent, Pink Fresh Couture.

Housed in the same famous cleaning spray bottle as the original, Pink Fresh Couture offers a refreshing new floral take on the original scent…

So firstly let’s talk about the packaging. I absolutely love the design of the cleaning bottle, it’s kitschy, fun and unusual, and fits in perfectly with Moschino’s branding and aesthetic. The bright cool barbie pink colour also appeals to me, this is literally my favourite shade of pink, and I just love how in your face and unapologetic it is. The only thing I will say about the bottle is it’s a shame that the perfume doesn’t spray from the pink and white nozzle – you actually have to remove the whole top to reveal a standard perfume spray button underneath – I’m not complaining though as I still absolutely love the bottle!

And now on to the fragrance – I was initially concerned that this might be a bit too floral and girly for me, but luckily I was wrong. Pink Fresh Couture is a fruity, bright and crystalline scent, it hits you with an instant zesty freshness, later drying down to a lingering, feminine aroma. It’s a modern scent, that’s fresh and captivating, easy to wear both day and night.

Pink Fresh Couture opens with fresh and sparkling notes of fresh Pink Grapefruit, accents of Cassis and luminous Lily of the Valley, giving a juicy and almost tart sharpness at the top. This leads to a floral accord of refined Wild Rose and Pink Jacinth with juicy Pomegranate at the heart. The base is still fresh, yet warm and sensual, with notes of Cedarwood, Ambrox and Musk.

  • Top Notes: Pink Grapefruit, Cassis and Lily of the Valley.
  • Heart Notes: Pomegranate, Pink Jacinth and Wild Rose.
  • Base Notes: Cedarwood, Ambrox and Musk.

I should mention there’s also a Pink Fresh Couture bath and body line too, including a shower gel and body lotion which promise to leave the skin hydrated and delicately perfumed with the Fresh Pink Couture scent – these are now on my wish list!

Moschino Pink Fresh Couture EDP is priced from a very reasonable £35.00 for 30ml, available now at Debenhams, Superdrug and FeelUnique.

Love it or Hate it: Moschino FRESH is Here!

Posted on November 25, 2015

Hi Guys!

Moschino’s latest fragrance has recently hit the shelves, and it’s just fantastic. I absolutely love Moschino as a brand – who else could possibly bring Barbie, Spongebob, Macdonalds and ‘low culture’ in general to the catwalk, juxtaposing these every day brands with couture fashion, resulting in something completely different and exciting.

Jeremy Scott is the brains behind Moschino’s unmissable tongue in cheek style, and his first fragrance, FRESH, has been inspired by their spring / summer 2016 collection which features a mixture of pop culture references, including motorway signs and high vis fabrics, as well as the Power Puff Girls, and of course, window cleaner.

What I love about Moschino in general, is the simple FUN factor.

I love the innovation, the fearlessness, the bright gaudy colours. And as far as the FRESH fragrance is concerned, I really don’t think the world of perfumery has seen anything like it before. Amongst a mass of yellow and golden liquids, with expensive looking intricately detailed glass bottles, FRESH stands out like a sore thumb. It’s bold and unapologetic, and embodies everything I love about the Moschino brand.

The concept for this fragrance was to juxtapose the most mundane and commonplace of all products, the household cleaner, with something so precious – the juice of a luxury brand’s fragrance. Taking the iconography of a bottle that has no aspirational value and using it as the inspiration for a vessel to contain something so luxurious and haute couture, creates the ultimate dichotomy of high and low. What could be more Moschino than that?

When it comes to the fragrance, surprisingly to some, FRESH doesn’t actually smell like window cleaner… it’s a very bright and clean scent, reflected by the crisp white outer packaging. Moschino describes this fragrance as surprising, ironic and joyful.

FRESH has sparklingly bright top notes of mandarin and bergamot, with the added intense character of ylang yang. It has a juicy, yet floral heart, with a contrast of raspberry with velvety white peony and osmanthus. The base underlines the refined and contemporary character of the perfume, thanks to a sensual trail of cedar wood, with patchouli and ambrox.

So what do you think of FRESH? You can probably tell by now that I love it!

Moschino’s FRESH is available now exclusively at Selfridges.
