MTherapy Beauty Pod Review

Posted on August 6, 2013

Hi Guys!

I was contacted a while ago to trial an exciting new product – the MThreapy Beauty Pod! Take a look at this beauty!

mtherapy review

It’s a bit crazy looking isn’t it! So what on earth is it? The MTherapy Beauty Pod is an at-home salon grade piece of equipment that combats the signs of ageing in just two minutes! You insert a ‘Podlet’ into the machine which then pumps out steam infused with vitamins, minerals and hyaluronic acid on to your face and neck. MTherapy promises that ‘continuation of MTherapy treatments will produce true rejuvenation in five major areas: hydration, fine line reduction, skin radiance, tightness and tone.’

This is exactly what I need!! I’ve been pretty tired and stressed with wedding planning and various other things, and it’s definitely been taking it’s toll on my skin. Luckily I don’t have any lines yet but hydration is a major issue for me as my skin tends to be dry anyway, and a bit more radiance wouldn’t go amiss either!! 🙂

Here is some more info about the product and what it does –

‘At its core, MTherapy utilises an innovative steam technique to enrich the skin with vitamins, minerals and hyaluronic acid along with a unique complex formula developed by MTherapy. This was inspired by the well recognized Mesotherapy treatment, which injects a cocktail of vitamins and minerals into the skin through hypodermic needles.’

‘Having been tested on recipients of varying age with consistently positive results, MTherapy has been proven to reduce the signs of ageing and make the skin look younger after only a few sessions. In most cases first results can be seen within 20-30 minutes of application. The first anti-ageing effects are almost immediately visible, and improving with continued regular use of MTherapy’s steam infused treatments. Like all non-surgical rejuvenating treatments, these effects need to be maintained by consistent use in order to give the face a naturally youthful appearance.’

‘The MTherapy Beauty Pod’s programmed cycle first releases a preparation to cleanse the skin and open up the pores. This is a mixture of active natural antiseptic, renewing and healing properties.
With the skin prepared, the Beauty Pod and Podlet then deliver the key elements of the treatment, a compound rich in anti-ageing ingredients which include Hyaluronic Acid, an incredible molecule which can hold 1,000 times its own weight in water, and hence is vital for plumping up and hydrating skin cells, as well as stimulating cellular metabolism and collagen production.
Once plugged in, the lighting system will tell you exactly when it is ready to accept the Treatment Podlet then automatically implement the two-stage treatment. Ensure that the Beauty Pod is at an appropriate height so that the funnel end is at the same height as the centre of the face.’

‘The first stage of MTherapy is a facial steam with first delivery of our blend of highest selected vitamins and minerals. This is a pleasant and comfortable process that first opens up the pores and cleans the skin. The first stage of the treatment will last less than one minute.’

‘The second stage will now apply the main MTherapy Treatment. This stage is now delivering essential nutrients and MTherapy’s complex formula into the epidermal layer of the skin. This will last over one minute.’

So now over to my review…

Firstly, the machine is really easy to use, you simply screw in the clear funnel on top, plug in and turn on, insert the podlet and you’re ready to go! The steam then comes out of the funnel and you position your face in front of it, moving it around slowly so your whole face and neck feels the effect of the steam vapour. The procedure is over surprisingly quickly, the first stage taking 45 seconds and the second taking about a minute. I was worried it might be hot or uncomfortable but it was neither, the feeling of the steam on your face is lovely!

I’ve now been using the Beauty Pod for a couple of months and I have to say I love it. It’s quick and easy to use, and my skin instantly feels fresher and hydrated! I think my skin also looks better, slightly fresher and brighter. I would definitely recommend it!

The Beauty Pod in action!…

You can purchase the Beauty Pod from the MTherapy website here. At €325 / £269 it’s by no means a cheap piece of kit, but you’ll be interested to hear that MTherapy are so confident you will be happy with the Beauty Pod that they offer a full money back guarantee!

My Diet, Weight Loss and Wedding Update!

Posted on July 17, 2013

Hi Guys! I’ve done a lot of reviews lately so I thought it was about time I gave you all an update on what’s going on in my life at the moment!

As you will probably know, I’m getting married on 14th September – not long now!! I bought my wedding dress last September and have since somehow managed to put on two stones (sad face)

So, I’ve finally decided to do something about this and attempt a proper diet! I started the Doukan diet about a month ago. The Doukan diet is protein based and very strict. To explain it briefly, for the first week you may only eat protein, and lean protein at that. No pork or lamb allowed! So chicken, eggs, ham, fish etc are all allowed and you can also eat as much as you like of these foods. After a week of protein only you can introduce vegetables every other day. Still no carbs, no fats and no sugars though I’m afraid. Surprisingly after about day four, which was the hardest for me, your body gets used to it and I feel absolutely fine! You are advised to take vitamins whilst dieting as you are cutting out lots of foods, especially to start with. I’ve been taking these Hair, Skin and Nails vitamins from myvitamins.

My Vitamins

You must also drink lots of water and do light exercise for half and hour a day. I do stepping on my Wii Fit as it’s convenient – my other half pimped the Wii step so it’s higher and a I just do half an hour of stomping on that every evening whilst watching the tv!

There are further stages of the Doukan Diet to maintain your weight once you have reached your goal. You can check out the website here for more info, there is also a book available which has lots of recipe ideas. With such a strict range of foods to eat it can be difficult to know how to make them tasty and interesting every day!

So, the good news is I started the diet on 17/06/13 – one month ago today, and I’ve already lost 13lbs! I’m so happy!! My wedding dress is in sight at last! 😀 The dress is completely amazing and I woud be so gutted if I couldn’t wear it on the big day because it was too small!

Ahh, the Wedding Dress…

I won’t give too much away about my dress but it’s by Justin Alexander and as soon as I tried it on I knew it was the one! I originally saw the below dress online and thought it looked amazing, I tried it on and it just wasn’t quite right so I ended up with another one. All will be revealed in September!!

On the subject of beauty reviews, I’ve also recently been testing out a new beauty treatment called the MTherapy Beauty Pod – with promises of an ‘immediate tightening effect, improved hydration, tightened pores and better overall skin radiance.’ How good does that sound! I’ve used it a few times so far and my skin does feel fabulous after each use! A full review will be on the blog shortly, in the mean time you can see more info here.

Right I must dash now! I’m going out for a rare dinner date with my other half! I will be eating a salad, with no dressing of course! 😉 xxx
