It’s enriched with Stemoxydine, a state-of-the-art densifying molecule, as well as containing hyaluronic acid to plump up the hair fibre for a fuller and thicker appearance.

Kérastase Densifique Conditioner 200ml (£20.90) – the perfect partner for the above Bain Densite, this conditioner has nourishing formula that works to improve the texture and fullness of your hair without weighing it down. It’s infused with moisture binding Hyaluronic Acid and Intra-Cylane to hydrate every strand whilst enhancing body, lift and resilience.

Kérastase Densifique Mousse Densimorphose 150ml (£20.90) – formulated with gluco-peptides to help to repair past damage, this lightweight mousse contains hyaluronic acid to give plumpness to the hair, leaving it bouncy and full.

The last hair product is the brand new Moroccanoil Dry Shampoo Light Tones 205ml (£14.85) – developed to refresh tired, lack-lustre locks between washes, Moroccanoil’s Dry Shampoo for Light Tones is fortified with ultra-fine starch, to instantly revive hair between washes and banish any signs of odour, product build-up or grease, it also has subtle violet undertones to balance brassiness in blonde hair.

And from Elizabeth Arden we have the Prevage City Smart SPF 50 Hydrating Shield 40ml (£55.00) – this is a moisturising lotion with a hydrating, anti-ageing formula to protect skin from pollution, UV rays and visible signs of ageing. Anti-Pollution technology creates an invisible barrier to help prevent the penetration of harmful toxins, and its sheer, universal tint and optical diffusers leave skin with a smooth, radiant appearance.

Onto beauty now, there are two fantastic Nudestix products in the prize bundle –

NudeStix Lip And Cheek Pencil (£24.00)  this multi-use pencil can be used as a lip liner, lip colour and cheek cream. It provides excellent colour payoff, blendability and coverage that will last for hours. As well as looking great, the NudeStix pencil will also nourish your lips and skin, packed as it is with shea butter, vitamin E and peptides.

NudeStix Blur Pencil (£24.00) – this is basically a wonder-primer, in pencil form! It minimises the appearance of fine lines, creases and crows feet, as well as diminishing visible pores. The formula has a slightly waxy texture, that expertly ‘fills in’ furrows and disguises imperfections to create a more even base for make up. Infused with plumping hyaluronic acid alongside soothing, antioxidant vitamins E and C, this pencil effortlessly gives skin an immediate ‘soft focus’ finish, so your complexion appears smoother, firmer and virtually flawless.

Lookfantastic March Beauty Box | Review

Posted on March 7, 2015

lookfantastic march review

Hi Guys!

You may remember this time last month my Lookfantastic beauty box review started a bit meh, and actually turned out quite positive. I’d originally decided not to buy any more boxes, but by the end of the post I’d changed my mind! Well as it turns out I actually forgot to order March’s box, but then Lookfantastic kindly offered to send me one for review – thanks guys! So let’s see what March’s box has to offer…

  • Cowshed Lippy Cow Lip Balm, 12ml is £5.00 so 5ml is worth £2.91
  • Lord & Berry Eyeliner Pencil, full size is £10 so travel size is worth about £5.00
  • Wet Brush, £7.99
  • NudeStix Magnetic Colour Eyeshadow Pencil, £24.00
  • Bliss Fatgirlslim, 60ml £10.40
  • Caudalie Polyphenol Anti Wrinkle Serum, 30ml is £35 so 10ml is worth £11.66

Total value = £61.96

This looks like a really interesting box, with a good variety of products so I’m looking forward to getting stuck in! One thing I wanted to mention though is the card you get in the box gives the value of the products, but it’s not always accurate, so for example it says the Cowshed Lip Balm is worth £5, but that’s actually the 12ml full size version, and the same goes for the Lord & Berry Eyeliner, they say it’s worth £10, but they’re referring to the full sized product, rather than the half size travel version you get in the box… just thought I’d give that a mention.

Anyway, this box contains six sample and full sized products covering makeup, skincare, and hair. I’m loving the variety! I’ve got lip balms coming out of my ears at the moment, but you can never have too many, right? The Cowshed Lippy Cow Lip Balm contains essential oils of linden blossom, rose geranium and ylang ylang. I’ve used it a couple of times and it’s actually a pretty decently balm!

The Lord & Berry Eyeliner Pencil is again another great product, the formula is super soft and silky and it glides on the eyes without tugging – the only thing is it does smudge easily, so this pencil would be great for a smokey eye look, but if you want a clean line, I wouldn’t try it with this pencil.

The Wet Brush is a tool for detangling thick curly or straight hair, wet or dry. My hair is very fine, so this doesn’t really appeal or apply to me – but the mini sized brush is a handy spare to keep in my bag. The next item is the Nudestix Magnetic Eye Color Pencil, I’ve never heard of Nudestix before and seeing the price tag is £24.00 I was very interested to try this pencil out. The formula appears to be a smooth, creamy pencil, that applies easily but then surprisingly sets really well too, and it actually doesn’t budge. I’ve tried this out on the back of my hand and on one eye (I’m multitasking ok!) and it really doesn’t move, even with rubbing! This pencil is also advised for oily lids, so if you have a problem with your eye makeup smudging and sinking into creases, you should definitely check the Nudestix pencils out.

Bliss Fatgirlslim is next. I’m not really sure what to make of the name to be honest, but this is a body firming cream that is supposed to make skin feel firmer and more toned with use. It’s a thick cream with a slightly minty scent and contains caffeine as it’s active ingredient, which I’ve read is supposed to ‘make fat cells shrink’. Hmm, this sounds very unlikely to me! I think you’d need to use this product every day for at least a few weeks to get an idea if it works or not, but you’d need at least another one or two of these small 60ml tubs to trial for that length of time.

And lastly the Caudiale Caudalie Polyphenol Anti Wrinkle Serum. I’m a big fan of serums so I’m glad I have another one to add to my collection! This is an anti-oxidant, anti-wrinkle concentrate that blocks free radicals whilst moisturising and plumping the skin. It’s enriched with hyaluronic acid and olive squalane, and in time promises visibly brighter skin and reduced fine lines and wrinkles. I’m looking forward to giving this a proper try, and I’ll report back soon!

Well I have to say I’m actually really impressed with March’s box, it contains a great range of products, most of which I’ll definitely use, so it get’s a big thumbs up from me!

Have you tried any of Lookfantastic’s beauty boxes? I hope you enjoyed my review xxx
