Every Single Beauty Advent Calendar for Christmas 2018!

Posted on August 17, 2018

I know it’s only August, but news of 2018’s beauty advent calendars has already started to spread, so I thought it’s about time I gathered information on every single one so you can have a (hopefully) fully comprehensive list to refer to over the coming months.

The below list is in price order, starting with the groups (where a brand has more than one calendar) and then the lowest, and I’ll update info, dates and links as soon as I have the info myself – enjoy!

The Body Shop Advent Calendars – Olivia the Owl version is £45.00 (worth £85). Dani the Deer version is £65.00 (worth £121). Freddie the Fox version is £99.00 (worth £231) and Countdown to New Year version is £45.00 (worth £85). All will be available from 31st October.

The Body Shop’s advent calendars really do look amazing this year! They usually have two or three, but this year they have four, to cater for different budgets – the Freddie Advent Calendar (above) is cruelty free, vegan, and contains some of the brand’s best make-up, skincare and bodycare products!

L”Occitane Classic Advent Calendar is £49.00 and the Luxury Advent Calendar is £89.00 Available from 20th September.

I reviewed the 2017 L’Occitane Luxury Advent Calendar, and it was amazing! This year’s offering looks just as good (if not better) with fun, colourful packaging. The Luxury Advent Calendar is packed with L’Occitane luxury treats, or if you’re looking for something more affordable, the Classic Advent Calendar is available too at £49.00.

Another duo of calendars are available this year from Rituals. The deluxe 3D Christmas tree contains 24 beautiful treats including fragrance, beauty, bath, and home products. Expect to find the new Ritual of Holi Crackling Body Mousse as well as The Ritual of Dao and The Ritual of Ayurveda from the hero collections included. The 2D Exclusive calendar is again more affordable, but still contains a fab selection of Rituals products.

GlossyBox are also launching their first advent calendar this year! The All I Want Box includes 25 beauty treats with 16 of them being full-sized! Lancome Advent Calendar, £130.00, available from the 26th September at Selfridges

Lancome’s Advent Calendar is seeming a bit secretive this year (so far anyway) I can’t find any information on this one as yet, so keep your eyes peeled and I’ll update this asap!

The luxury ESPA Comfort & Joy Advent Calendar contains a gorgeous ESPA skincare hero behind every door. Included you’ll find delightful oils, skincare products and candles to provide you with your daily dose of wellness. Expect an extra special full-size treat on Christmas Day too!

Charlotte Tilbury Advent Calendar, £150.00, available from October

For once, Charlotte’s Advent Calendar isn’t at the very top of the list – there seems to be a boatload of super high end (expensive) calendars this year! Charlotte’s 2018 Advent Calendar contains 12 countdown to Christmas beauty treats. You’ll find plenty of cult favourites inside, including one of my personal faves, the Pillow Talk Lipstick.

Fenwick Beauty Advent Calendar, £150.00 but worth £475.00, available from October

Fenwick’s calendar for 2018 is packed full of high end beauty minis – expect to find a plethora of treats included, as well as full sized products from the likes of MAC, Nails Inc and Bobbi Brown.

Space NK Beauty Advent Calendar, £TBC, available from October

Another first! SpaceNK is joining in on the advent fun this year with their debut calendar. Including 25 products, you know this is going to be amazing (and highly likely on the pricier side – I’ve slotted it in here as I’m guessing around £150.00) Expect brands such as Chantecaille, Sunday Riley, Lipstick Queen, Hourglass and more.

John Lewis Advent Calendar, £165.00, available 4th September

John Lewis are offering something a little different this year, apart from including an amazing selection of high end brands in their calendar (hello Aqua di Parma, Hermes and Floral Street) They’re also including vouchers for personalised services, such as an Elemis personalised mini facial, and an Aveda personalised hair and scalp camera analysis to name a just couple.

Molton Brown Opulent Infusions Advent Calendar, £175.00 worth £275.00. Available from October.

The 2018 Molton Brown Advent Calendar is packed full of gorgeous pampering treats. Inside you’ll find shower gel baubles, candles, bath washes, a limited edition fragrance and much more.

Harrods Beauty Advent Calendar, £250.00 but worth £680.00, available from 1st October

One of the ‘big daddy’ advent calendars – the Harrods calendar is truly a luxurious treat. It contains 25 luxury beauty products, from brands including NARS, Huda Beauty, Charlotte Tilbury, Sunday Riley, Givenchy and more. These products are worth a whopping £680!

Atelier Cologne Advent Calendar, £300.00, available from the 26th September at Selfridges

I’m loving that dedicated fragrance advent calendars are now becoming a thing! The 2018 Atelier Cologne advent calendar includes an assortment of travel sprays, body lotions, finely crafted soaps and even full size fragrances, plus Atelier’s iconic leather cases so you can keep them safe.

La Mer 12 Days of Radiance Calendar, £300.00, available from 22nd October

A first from luxury skincare brand La Mer, they’ve gathered together their favourite products in the La Mer 12 Days of Radiance Collection. It features 11 travel sizes and one full size product – this is a must have for fans of the brand!

Diptyque Advent Calendar, £320.00, exclusively to Selfridges from October 2018

Ok guys that’s it for now! If you come across any more beauty advent calendars, please let me know and I’ll add them! Happy shopping! xx

Beauty: NEW Battington Lashes at Space NK

Posted on June 7, 2017

Hi Guys!

You may not have heard of Battington Lashes if you’re in the UK – they’re a US based luxury lashe brand that have just launched at Space NK, and I have the full lowdown for you today…

Battington Lashes was created by Sirine Swed to fill a gap in the market – where most lashes today are either synthetic, or even blunt cut human hair or mink (!!!) the creators behind Battington wanted to offer a luxury true-to-life looking lash, that is both animal and cruelty free.

Battington Lashes are made of 100% handmade silk. They look completely real and natural, and also promise to last longer then any other lash, offering up to 25 applications per set.

The benefits of silk lashes appear to be second to none – apart from the cruelty free element, they also look AMAZING – I mean the individual hairs on these lashes look just like real human eyelashes. They are also super lightweight, they hold their curl, and they also last longer that traditional lashes. I have three out of the six lash sets available at Space NK to show you today –

Firstly, the Earheart Silk Lashes (£22.00) – these lashes are super, super fine for a realistic, natural look, perfect for those that don’t want their falsies to be detectable in any way, but want a natural touch of volume to their lashes. Earhart gives a subtle emphasis to the eyes, without creating drama.

Next the Hepburn Silk Lashes (£22.00) – these are basically at the opposite end of the lash spectrum to the above Earhart set. The Hepburn lashes give both dramatic length and volume, with longer length lashes at the outer corners to create an open eye effect.

And lastly the Monroe 3D Silk Lashes (£24.00) – slightly different to the above two sets of lashes, Battington’s ‘3D’ lashes feature a multi-layered silk strip lash, giving a fuller ‘fluffy’ effect. I think the Monroe lashes are my favourite out of the three I have, they’re a nice fluttery, noticeable length, without being too long, and they give great volume – which my short stumpy lashes are missing on a day to day basis. These are perfect to wear both day and night, giving definition, length and volume.

Overall I’m very impressed with Battington Lashes – yes they are expensive, but when you consider how many uses you get out of a set, it’s less than £1.00 per wear, which is nothing really. I love how lightweight and comfortable they are to wear, which really is important if you’re wearing lashes for any length of time, and like I said above, the Monroe 3D Lashes were definitely my favourite out of the three. Space NK also offer two other variations of 3D lashes which would be perfect for those looking for a more intense lash look.

Battington Lashes are available now at Space NK.

OM Skincare Launches at Space NK

om-skincare-products

Hi Guys!

I just wanted to let you know about a couple of gorgeous products I’ve been trying out lately from luxury skincare brand OM Skincare – and also let you know that OM has just launched at Space NK, so it’s even easier to get your hands on their products now!

If you haven’t heard of OM Skincare before, I’ll give you a bit of background information – OM Skincare is the brainchild of cosmetic and pharmaceutical scientist, Dr Om Prawarisa. The brand’s philosophy is the belief that your skin is a direct result of your physical and emotional well-being and whilst protecting, preserving and transforming skin, encourages mindfulness.

OM Skincare’s curated collection of luxury skincare products are multi-functioning and results driven, designed as the remedy to today’s modern lifestyles, and their superior formulas have been designed to adapt to all skin types whilst performing in all climates. OM Skincare embraces a mindful approach to skincare and delivers complex formulas that promise to visibly make a difference to the skin.

Starting with the Pure Glow Cleanser (£35.00) – Yes this is expensive for a cleanser, but it really is SO good! This product is designed for all skin types, so wether you have oily skin, dry or combination, it should work well for you. You probably know by now that I have dry and often sensitive skin, so I’m always a bit on the back foot when trying new skincare products. This however was completely problem free – it removed my makeup and left my skin feeling clean, calm and hydrated. The Pure Glow Cleanser also promises to restore skin’s pH levels whilst preserving natural oils, and reduce the onset of blackheads, pimples and acne. So if spots and blemishes  are an issue for you, it could be worth checking this  product out. It also contains Organic Aloe Vera and extracts of Rosewood to help rejuvenate the skin, and Sweet Orange extract which is known to increase the production of collagen.

And the Invisible Finish Primer (£42.50) – this was actually quite a surprising product. I was expecting your bog standard clear primer, but this is actually tinted. I was a bit concerned that it would be too dark for my pale complexion, but it was completely fine, just giving a very sheer veil of colour to brighten the complexion. Because of the tint, this product is great for wearing on it’s own if you want your skin to look perfected with a no-makeup look. It also works well as a base for foundation for when you want your complexion to appear glowing from within. Which brings me on to the fact that I loved that this isn’t a matte primer – which I must admit I was half expecting. It gives the complexion a lovely, healthy glow, whilst also protecting skin from pollution and damaging UVA and UVB rays.

OM Skincare products are available now at Space NK.

I hope you enjoyed my post xxx
