Hi Guys!

What is Christmas without a beautiful scented candle? I love nothing more than filling my home with festive scents to really get me into the Christmas spirit – and as there are so many wonderful wintry fragrances candles around right now, I’ve gathered together a selection of the best luxury scented candles to share with you today – enjoy!

Starting with the Diptyque Epice et Delices Candle (from £28.00) – Diptyque is the brand that really does tick all the boxes when it comes to candles. Their packaging is always striking and distinctive, and the scents are also to die for. This ‘Epice et Delices’ (Spices and Delights) candle is part of a trio of limited edition candles for winter 2016. Epice et Delices is a wonderfully warming spicy scent with notes of gingerbread, cinnamon, honey and star anise. It’s just perfect for a cost night in by the fire.

Next we have the Jo Malone Incense & Embers Candle (£42.00) – Another favourite brand of mine, Jo Malone’s Christmas products are always on my wish list, and this Incense & Embers scented candle is just as gorgeous as I expected. The scent is sophisticated, relaxing and calming with notes of smoky incense, silver fir and white pepper. An element of sensuality is added with notes napa leather layered on a base of elegant vetiver and golden amber. This really is a must have candle for winter.

I also have this absolutely stunning Voluspa Classic Maison Luxury Candle in Spruce Cuttings (£45.00) – now Voluspa is a brand I’ve never tried before, and I’m so glad I’ve discovered them! This candle is just so beautiful, with a striking festive green iridescent polished glass finish and matching lid – it really does feel luxurious and special. Their Spruce Cuttings scent is woody yet crisp and fresh, and instantly transports me to a winter wonderland. And though high in price, this candle will also last up to 100 hours, so it’s definitely worth the splurge.

la-montana-three-kings-candle-review

The La Montana Three Kings Candle (£35.00) is another beautiful, warming winter fragrance. This scent includes notes of cedarwood mingled with trampled pine needles, while frankincense and myrrh, mix with traditional, homemade turrón (almond nougat) and a brightening tot of brandy. The scent is heavy and evocative, and slightly masculine with almost an element of cologne to it. I really love this scent and this would also make a wonderful Christmas gift.

etta-french-nutmeg-orange-and-cinnamon-candle-review

Next we have the Etta French Nutmeg, Orange and Cinnamon Candle (£34.00) – if you haven’t heard of Etta French, they’re basically like a high end version of Jewel Candle – yes they have little packages of jewellery inside their candles! I really love this idea – I haven’t dug mine out yet so look out for another post in the coming weeks where I’ll show you what’s hidden inside this beautiful candle.

Onto the fragrance now though – Nutmeg, Orange & Cinnamon is a limited edition Christmas Fragrance; it’s described as the perfect seasonal soothing scent, evocative of cold winter days, fire lit nights and Christmas Cheer. I’m a big fan of cinnamon so this fragrance really appealed to me, it’s spicy, comforting and just smells exactly like Christmas!

Next The White Company Mistletoe Candle (£34.00 – behind reindeer) – This is a new limited edition scent, with notes of aromatic spruce, woody cedar, sweet muguet and rich amber. This scent encapsulates the essence of festive flirtation and kisses the air with its warming heart. This lovely candle is housed in a pretty ribbed glass vessel, with no visible logo, and its outer packaging is a beautiful white drum finished with a metallic ribbon. The whole look is elegant and understated – perfect for gifting a loved one this Christmas.

annick-goutal-noel-candle-review

And lastly the Annick Goutal Noel Candle (£44.00) – this is a classic Christmas candle from Annick Goutal. The fragrance is instantly recognisable – fresh, fresh and full-bodied, spicy and fruity. The flavour of citrus fruits, orange and mandarin from Brazil, the slightly acid bark of the pine from Siberia, heavy with an unforgettable scent of resin. A scent with the clarity of snow and the warmth of a house filled with impatient, excited children on Christmas Eve. This candle would make a wonderful Christmas treat!

And lastly I also wanted to mention this guy I picked up from Paperchase – Minty, as I’ve called him, is an awesome mint green coloured decorative reindeer – I love him!

I’d love to hear which candles you’ve been enjoying this winter? I hope you enjoyed my post xxx
