I was lucky enough in January to be selected by Lancôme to review their new Teint Visionnaire foundation.
The foundation is simply fabulous, firstly it looks great, it comes in a silver box and the packaging is of high quality as you would expect from Lancôme.
The actual foundation is in a glass bottle with a concealer compact at the top, this is a very handy idea and saves space in your makeup bag!
The foundation offers medium to full coverage, with the selling point advising it covers dark spots, pores and wrinkles. Luckily I don’t have wrinkles or dark spots (yet!) but I do have visible pores and dark circles under my eyes. Teint Visionnaire offered great coverage without making me look too ‘done’ My complexion looked more even and brighter and I actually had people comment how well I was looking when I wore it 🙂
I’m afraid I can’t upload any pictures at the moment as my camera is simply terrible, I’ll hopefully get a new one soon then I’ll add some. You’ll just have to take my word for it in the mean time, Teint Visionnaire is a definite must have!
Teint Visionnaire is available from today for £36:
‘Stand up and show the world what makes you perfectly, imperfect. We want you to highlight the features other brands encourage you to cover up. Because life isn’t about finding yourself, life is about celebrating who you really are.’
I love the fact that Illamasqua does not have a generic theme for every collection, like ‘this is the new summer collection’, they have a manifesto. The idea to celebrate your imperfections is simply fabulous. A difficult feat for a makeup brand, where the traditional purpose of makeup is to hides flaws. Other brands tell you to cover your freckles and de-frizz your hair, but Illamasqua’s poster girl for this campaign has a beautifully freckled face (mirroring the speckled nail polishes) and afro hair, oh and not to mention bright lime green lip gloss!
My favourite items in the collection have to be the limited edition nail polishes, in Freckle, Speckle, Mottle, Fragile and Scarse, (left to right below) I love the speckled effect and can’t wait to buy one (or two) to try! The swatches I’ve seen online look gorgeous, I’ve used Illamasqua polishes before and they are lovely to work with. If anyone has any of these, I would love to hear what you think of them.
