Six Fab Beauty Products That Won’t Break The Bank…

Posted on January 31, 2016

Hi Guys!

I was recently sent over a fantastic box of beauty products that are new in at Boots, and I had no idea what was going to turn up – which was very exciting. So when the box arrived it was great to find a mixture of brands, including one which I’ve never tried, and a couple that I haven’t tried for a good few years too…

First up is the Collection #YourStyleYourMood Eyeshadow Palette (£5.99) – Now I haven’t used Collection products in a loooong time, I mean, the last time I remember using them was when they were called Collection 2000 and I was in my teens. So even though I’m not familiar with their current products, I know they’re still a popular budget brand, and they also used to be one of the go-to brands back in the day for teens where I live too!

This dinky little palette comes in a cardboard casing, with matte and shimmer shades. The idea is that whatever your mood the #YourStyleYourMood Palette allows you to create the perfect eye look to reflect your style – I’d say it includes a nice selection of neutral colours that would work well for day time or evening, but there’s nothing in there that’s too outrageous – which I would have expected by the #YourStyleYourMood name. Maybe one or two brighter colours would have been a nice addition?

Next is the L’oreal Paris Super Liner Perfect Slim (£6.99) – Now you know I do love a good eyeliner, and my weapon of choice is always a pencil or a pen version, so this is is right up my street. This Perfect Slim liner has a long, flexible nib, with a very fine point. It gives a fantastic intense black line, that’s easy to draw and define due to the long pointed nib. This is a fantastic eyeliner for creating a sharp cat-eye flick.

Next we have the Eyelure Party Lashes in Frozen Beauty (£6.95) – I don’t often wear lashes except for the odd night out (and I don’t get out that often these days!) but when I have worn lashes, Eyelure are my brand of choice. This is just because lashes are expensive, and rather than waste £5+ per set on something that I might not like, I know I can trust Eyelure to do the job.

These Frozen Beauty lashes feature a fluffy and full lash, interspersed with shimmering silver ribbon that catches the light beautifully. I love that Eyelure lashes are easy to apply and remove, and if you’re careful you can re-use them multiple times too.

Up next is the Barry M Flawless Chisel Cheeks Contour Kit (£6.49) – I’m so glad this was included in the box! I’ve been meaning to pick up a budget contour kit for ages, just out of curiosity as I always use my Anastasia palette and hadn’t tried any budget versions as yet.

The Barry M Chisel Cheeks Contour Kit is a handy little travel-sized palette, including a light powder to highlight, a bronzer to warm, and a dark powder to sculpt for a perfectly enhanced appearance. The shades are not too dark or intense – so perfect for those with paler complexions like myself, and the product can also be built up easily, so it would still work well if you were looking for a bit more depth of colour.

Next is the Sleek Makeup Precious Metals Highlighting Palette (£9.99) – I love Sleek Cosmetics, they’re one of my favourite, if not my actual favourite budget high street brand. They also keep coming up with gorgeous new products!

The Precious Metals Highlighting Palette is a fantastic versatile highlighting palette for use on both the face and body. It features three velvet cream highlighters and one powder highlighter which can be used in a multitude of ways to give skin a beautiful luminous glow.

These highlighters really do give the loveliest iridescent and metallic finishes, wether you’re looking for detailed highlight on the face, or an all-over body glow, this little kit will have the right highlight for you.

And lastly, the Nail Apothecary Gel Effect Top Coat (£6.95) – Nail Apothecary is a brand new brand to me, that I hadn’t even heard of. They supply a range of nail care products, including various top coats, fillers and nail treatments. The Gel Effect Top Coat creates a plumping effect on the nails, giving a high shine, gel like look which is long lasting and chip resistant – a definite must have for fans of the DIY manicure!

Well, I’m beyond impressed with this fab little selection of products, I haven’t used a couple of these brands for a while now and I’m so glad I’ve re-discovered them. I’d love to hear if you’ve tried any of these products?

I hope you enjoyed my post! xxx

NEW From Guerlain: La Petite Robe Noire Lip Colour Collection

Posted on January 26, 2016

Hi Guys!

I’m so excited today as I have some stunning new products from one of my favourite luxury brands to share with you! Guerlain have just launched their La Petite Robe Noire Collection, which includes a range of 20 lipsticks and 8 nail polishes – and the packaging is GORGEOUS.

The press release tells a sweet little story of Guerlain’s character, La Petite Robe Noire…

‘Alone in front of her wardrobe, La Petite Robe Noire is deep in thought. Despite all the wonderful dresses created for her by Thierry Wasser, she lacks that je-ne-sais-quoi that would highlight her femininity, the little added extra that would reveal her true personality: mischievous, Parisian, spectacular, seductive, elusive and yet with a distinctive presence…’

‘Suddenly, she has a flash of inspiration. It’s so obvious! What she needs is, of course… colour!’

La Petite Robe Noire then rushes to see Olivier Echaudemaison, Guerlain Make-Up Creative Director, and inspired by her energy, he creates the new La Petite Robe Noire collection…

So, what are these lipsticks all about? Well the Petite Robe Noire collection offers easily buildable colour in a massive range of shades, from one swipe for a sheer veil of colour, to three or more if you wish for more intensity. The finish is is very balmy and moisturising, with a light fruity floral scent inspired by the heart notes of La Petite Robe Noire’s fragrance.

The packaging is so pretty, and very unique. The outer casing of the lipstick is made of a clear plastic with a pretty upside down heart on top – again inspired by the original Petite Robe Noire bottle. You can see through this to the inner casing, as well as being able to see the colour of the lipstick underneath.

There are 20 lipstick shades available, and I have 001 My First Lipstick – giving a beautiful veil of shimmer, it reveals the natural colour of the lips to deliver a tailor-made twist. And 020 Poppy Cap is a bright and summery orange – coral shade.

My First Lipstick gives the most beautiful light sheen to the lips, with an added hint of sparkle, and Poppy Cap, though appearing opaque in the tube, comes out fairly sheer though buildble in colour. Both have a wonderfully creamy, balmy texture that my dry lips just love – as well as a light fragrance which is no where near as strong as I was expecting. I’ve worn these a couple of times now and I can’t get enough of them – I can’t wait to try the nail polishes out too!

The La Petite Robe Noire Shiny Lip Colours and La Petite Robe Noire Shiny Nail Colours are available now exclusively at House of Fraser.

Is a Kat Von D X Too Faced collaboration on the cards?

Posted on January 21, 2016

Hi Guys!

The beauty rumour mill has been going into over drive today with news of one of the most exciting collaborations in recent times – Kat Von D and Too Faced! HOW AMAZING DOES THIS SOUND!?

Eagle eyed fans noticed the first hint of this possible collaboration a couple of months ago, as Kat posted an image of one of her own branded lipsticks next to a Too Faced Soul Mates Blushing Bronzer on her Instagram account –

@katvondbeauty + @toofaced = ❤️

A photo posted by Kat Von D (@thekatvond) on

Not giving much away at all at the time, Kat literally wrote ‘@katvondbeauty + @toofaced = heart, which could have meant everything and nothing. But then, a few days ago @Trendmood1 – an Instagram account known for posting about the latest breaking news in beauty, posted an image showing Kat Von D and Jerrod Blandino, who’s a co-owner of Too Faced, sitting on the floor at a coffee table looking suspiciously like they were up to something – possibly working on new collaborative products?

Trendmood1 confirmed this with their caption on the post “Can’t wait for this collaboration!!!!!!!! Two VERY different brands that I adore so much…are creating something AMAZING for us.”

Unfortunately there’s a massive bow covering the center of the photo, blurring anything that would be of any interest on the coffee table, so we’ll have to keep our ears to the ground – or Instagram as it would seem, for more news on what’s in the pipeline. I can’t wait to see what these brands are going to come up with, both of them have such a strong sense of branding, I think it’s going to be something really special!

Are you excited about this collaboration? Let me know what you think! xxx

NEW La Roche-Posay Effaclar BB Blur Cream Review

Posted on January 20, 2016

Hi Guys!

When BB creams first hit the mainstream market a good few years ago now, I must admit I was initially a bit underwhelmed. Another foundation? I thought. Well, BB products have come a long way and I’ve definitely been converted to a fan of them in recent years. I love how quick and easy they are to apply, and the dewy glowing complexion they give you. They really do tick all the boxes for me.

So this brings me to La Roche Posay’s latest offering to the world of BB creams – the Effaclar BB Blur Cream. This cream is specifically made for oily skin, it promises to control shine all day long – with Aircilium, a cutting-edge ingredient that forms a supple and resistant film over the skin to smoothe its surface whilst letting it breathe. This wonder ingredient is said to absorb three times its weight in oil, resulting in a matte velvet finish on the skin.

As well as controlling shine, the Effaclar BB Blur Cream also aims to blur the appearance of pores, blemishes and fine lines, and shade adapting pigments work to colour match the skin on application, whilst providing medium coverage that will erase imperfections and leave a radiant, flawless finish.

I must admit, I didn’t expect this product would suit me at all, as it’s made for oily skin and I have normal to dry skin. Well surprisingly I absolutely love it! The cream itself has quite a thick texture, yet it’s light and very mousse like. When applied to the skin it’s easy to quickly rub in with fingers – perfect if you’re not a morning person like me! Once applied, it gives a beautiful lightweight matte finish, that really does have a blurring effect on pores and imperfections. (I have visible pores on my t-zone, so this anything that’s quick to apply whilst covering them up successfully is a winner in my books) I’m not usually a fan of matte finishes as they can often highlight any dryer areas, but I had no problems with this at all. It gave a very flawless yet natural finish with light to medium coverage. I should point out that if you’re looking for something to really mask imperfections, this may not be the product for you. Otherwise I think it’s a great day-to-day BB that really does the job – I imagine it would work wonders on those with oily complexions too.

The La Roche-Posay Effaclar BB Blur Cream is available now from Escentual, and it’s currently on offer for £11.00, so be sure to snap it up while the discount is still available!

New From The Body Shop: Drops of Youth

Posted on January 19, 2016

Hi Guys!

I have some new skincare goodies from The Body Shop to share with you today! Following on from their popular Oils of Youth collection which was released towards the end of last year, The Body Shop have just launched their brand new Drops of Youth range.

The Oils of Youth products were obviously oil-based, and though the line is very similar in terms of the range of products on offer, the Drops of Youth collection is described as a Youth Enhancing Skincare routine, aiming to tackle the first signs of ageing, giving smoother, bouncier, and more youthful-looking skin.

The Drops of Youth products contain stem cells from three plants: Criste Marine, Sea Holly, and Edelweiss. I can’t really find any details on how these affect or work on the skin though I’m afraid – please feel free to point me in the right direction if you can help me here! So I’ll just let you know what I think of the products on face value.

Firstly let’s take a look at the Youth Essence Lotion (£14.00) – this product is to be used after cleansing to prepare skin before moisturising. It has a gel-to-liquid formula, which promises to instantly smooth skin whilst replenishing moisture – and that it does! I applied this as directed and it did, in fact make my skin feel smoother. I’m not so sure about how moisturised it was, but this product definitely gave me lovely silky soft feeling skin.

The Youth Concentrate (£25.00) – this helps to enhance the condition of the skin, leaving it looking smoother, fresher and healthier, as well as instantly moisturising. This product has the silkiness of a serum, but the consistency also reminded me of a gel at the same time. I must say I wasn’t quite as impressed as I’d hoped to be, don’t get my wrong it is a nice little product, and it did feel lovely to apply, I just didn’t really get the instant moisturisation I was expecting with this one.

And lastly the Youth Day Cream (£20.00) – this is a gorgeous light and velvety air-whipped moisturising cream, that aims to leave skin feeling smoother, more supple and refined with a youthful-looking bounce. This is probably my favourite product out of the three. My skin loved this! It sank in in some sort of record speed (considering the amount of product I accidentally slapped on the first time) and left my face feeling amazingly well hydrated and comfortable.

The products all have a fresh, light and pleasant scent – I’m not a fan of strongly scented skincare products so this is definitely a good thing in my opinion, but I was mostly impressed with how fast they all sunk into my skin, leaving no residue or tackiness. My skin actually felt quite matte after application too – which is always a plus, as well as being nicely hydrated and just a bit brighter.

I’ve only used these products a few times so far, but I’m definitely impressed with them as a trio. In my opinion this is a skincare range that does the job as well as being affordable, so they get a thumbs up from me! I’d love to hear if you’ve tried any of these products?

A Few High End Beauty Treats…

Posted on January 18, 2016

Hi Guys!

Now I love nothing more than snapping up some amazing sale bargains over the Chrismtas period – 75% off you say? I’ll take 12 of them, thanks. But last years sales seemed to be bit underwhelming really, there was nothing with as much as 30% off to catch my eye. So what did I do? Well I did the obvious thing and bought a Tom Ford palette for full price at £64.00, that’s what I did. Of course Tom Ford products never come up in any sales, so I just took the plunge and picked up Nude Dip, which is possibly the most gorgeous eyeshadow palette I’ve ever seen. And while I was in the mood for spending, I may have purchased a few other bits and pieces too…

All totally necessary of course. I went on a bit of a spending spree in my BBloggers Beauty Swaps and Sales Facebook Group, first picking up the Becca Champagne Pop Highlighter, which is just beautiful. I then got my mitts on the beautiful Becca X Jaclyn Hill Champagne Glow Highlighter Trio too, YESSS! And while I was there I also bought a couple of mini Lorac palettes from the same seller. When in Rome and all that.

I also wanted to include the most gorgeous perfume that I received for Christmas. This is Neroli Blanc Intense, and It. Is. Amazing. I first discovered this in my first ever Bloom Perfumery subscription packet, and I knew I’d have to get my mitts on it sooner or later!

I’ve had my eye on Tom Ford’s Nude Dip palette for quite a while. If my memory serves me correctly, this was originally a limited edition product, which was then added to the main line. And I’m SO glad it was. It’s just the most stunning palette. The shades are to die for, they’re just gorgeous every-day colours that would suit pretty much everyone. As you know, this did cost a purse-clenching £64, but I have no regrets!

Next the Becca Champagne Pop Highlighter (shown in top image only) and the Becca X Jaclyn Hill Champagne Glow Trio. Becca’s collaboration with Jaclyn Hill really has done everything for the brand. People are going highlighter crazy – including myself. I was so excited when I saw somebody was selling the Champagne Pop highlighter (lightly used) in my beauty swaps and sales group, I snapped it up straight away. Then, by some stroke of luck the Champagne Glow Trio Palette came up too, this time brand new and unused. This palette was a limited edition over the Christmas period, and available in the US only, so I’m beyond happy that I grabbed this too!

I also picked up the Lorac Matte and Metallic mini palettes from the same seller. Lorac palettes have been on my wish list for a while so I thought this was the perfect chance to try a couple of them out – at a very reasonable price too.

And lastly, I also treated myself to a Sigma Lip Switch in Pink Lotus. This is an amazing light-weight lip gloss with the most intense holographic finish – it’s right up my street!

I’ll be putting together full review posts for these products over the next couple of weeks, I’d love to hear if you’ve tried any of them? xxx

Missoni Eau De Parfum Review

Posted on

Hi Guys!

I’ve got the most gorgeous perfume to share with you today! The self titled – Missoni Eau De Parfum is as beautiful on the outside as it is on the inside.

Firstly let’s take a look at the bottle – Angela Missoni took inspiration from the art of Venetian blown glass to create a unique bottle featuring beautifully flowing jewel-like shades of purple, fuchsia and green. It looks stunning when it catches the light! And the cap is wrapped with a golden collar specially created to resemble the thread of the fabric. It’s colourful, unusual, and definitely striking. It truly is a beautifully unique bottle, I haven’t seen anything like this before!

Missoni EDP is described as being feminine, sensual and iconic. This is a fragrance for a modern woman, decidedly feminine and confident. This is a woman aware of her own presence, who wears this scent as a dress that glides on the body, enhancing the vitality and charm it offers.

To me, this perfume says confidence, freedom and creativity. It’s feminine but not overly so, and  would work just as well as a day time or evening fragrance. This quote sums it up really well for me –

‘It tells of a fragrance dedicated to a sensual and exuberant woman whose femininity truly stands out. A curious woman who is at the centre of her present but who lives outside of convention and preconceived ideas.’

Missoni EDP has top notes of Lemon, bergamot, cedar, pear and Pomme d’Amour, heart notes of
Mahonial, petalia and jasmine sambac, and base notes of Ambra, tonk a bean and sandalwood.

I love this perfume, it’s definitely a welcome addition to my collection and I highly recommend you try it if you can!

Missoni Eau De Parfum is available now from Harrods.

Four Luxury Candles Perfect for Winter

Posted on January 13, 2016

Hi Guys!

Ok so I’ll be the first to admit, I do have a slight candle obsession. This has only been in recent years though. If you’d have suggested me spending £20 plus on a candle 10 years ago, I’d tell you to pull the other one! Maybe it’s because I have my own home now, and I want it to look and smell gorgeous? I also love the atmospheric and therapeutic attributes a candle can offer – candles can change the ambience of a room in a matter of moments, as well as creating a calming and relaxing environment.

Winter is definitely my favourite season for candles, I love the warming notes of cinnamon, nutmeg and Christmas spices wafting around my house on a cold winter’s day. So today I want to share some of my favourite luxury winter candles with you –

First up is the Petits Rituels By the Fire Candle (£35.00) – This beautifully packaged candle arrives housed in chic white glass, with the Petits Rituels logo printed on the front. It has the most gorgeously warming festive scent, including spicy Cinnamon & Clove, zesty Orange and Lemongrass, which blended together give an uplifting, happy and warm feeling – it reminds me of drinking hot mulled wine on a cold winter’s day.

Next is the beautiful Annick Goutal Noel Candle (£40.50) – Annick Goutal make some of the most stunning fragrances you can buy, and their candles are no exception. The Noel Candle is also a limited edition, only available over the winter months – why you’d want a candle like this any other month though I have no idea!

Apart from being decorative, the Noel candle has a beautifully nuanced scent, with notes of citrus fruits, spices, siberian pine and a strong flavour of resin. It’s a clean and fresh scent, it makes you think of being outdoors in the snow, waling through a forest in bright sunlight.

Next is the limited edition Arran Aromatics Nutmeg Embers Luxury Candle (Now on offer for £12.50) – Firstly I must apologise for the photo, this candle is actually printed in metallic silver on the inside of the glass, and with the glass itself being red and frosted, it makes the pattern and logo look a little blurry – hence why it looks out of focus!

This is a wonderfully large 295g candle, with a gorgeous comforting and warming seasonal scent. Nutmeg Embers captures the delicacy of nutmeg around a heart of spicy cardamom, cinnamon and cedarwood. Crowned with top notes of subtle citrus and imbued with aromatic vetiver. This is definitely a must have for the winter season, and at ono £12.50 it’s a bargain too!

And lastly the stunning Diptyque Liquidambar candle (from £28.00). Part of the 2015 holiday collection, Liquidambar is one of three limited edition candles designed by the painter Julien Colombier. This collection is dedicated to the olfactory attributes of trees – the artist provides the flow, the light, and the colours, and the Perfume House provides the texture, the flavours, and the fragrances.

Liquidambar is quite a masculine scent, it reminds me of a cologne though I can’t for the life of me think which one. There’s a definitely warmth to this candle, like sitting by the fire when it’s cold outside. It’s beautifully spicy, with notes of nutmeg and cinnamon (two of my favourite seasonal scents) and there’s also muscovado sugar, to add sweetness. This is the perfect candle to burn on a chilly winter’s evening.

So what do you think? Do you have any of these candles? I’d love to hear which candles you love to burn in winter?

A Mini Haul From Beauty Bay…

Posted on January 12, 2016

Hi Guys!

I’d never shopped with Beauty Bay before, so when they asked me to pick a few things I liked from their site, I jumped at the chance! What better way to discover brands I hadn’t tried before? Beauty Bay stock a massive range and brands and products, so it was really hard to narrow down my list, but in the end I went for a Missha BB cream, a Gerard lipstick and a Laura Gellar highlighter. All are brands I haven’t used before, so I couldn’t wait to get stuck in and try them!

The Gerard Cosmetics Lipstick in shade Underground (£11.50) isn’t the easiest colour to wear, I’ll happily admit that. I’m just instantly attracted to those autumnal browny 90’s shades we’re seeing everywhere at the moment. Underground is also verging on what you might call greige, but not quite. The shade in the bullet looks quite dark and intense, but it actually comes out a bit lighter than you’d expect which is slightly more forgiving on the complexion. Underground is a medium to full coverage lipstick, that’s creamy and comfortable to wear. I’d say its slightly drying, but this is nothing a good dose of lips balm won’t sort out. It’s also good to know that Gerard Cosmetics are a cruelty free brand too.

MISSHA is one of those brands I’d heard of, but wasn’t really sure about their products. My initial thought is they were Eastern – maybe Korean, and I was right. I’d definitely come across them before when browsing Korean beauty sites.

The M Perfect Cover BB Cream (£17.50) appealed to me because I’m a big fan of BB creams. As much as I love foundations, BB’s just seems to look a bit more natural, and I love that you can quickly apply and rub them in with fingers when I’m in a rush in the morning.

I went for shade 21 Light Beige – which was a bit of a guess, as it is anywhere you purchase base colour products online without seeing them in the flesh. This shade is actually the opposite of what I expected. With many BB creams I’ve tried leaning towards the side of being quite intense (orangey) in colour, this is a very subdued, almost grey tinged shade.

It’s a lovely BB cream though, even though it’s not quite the right shade for me, it gives a gorgeous almost full coverage, dewy complexion, while feeling lightweight on the skin. It also includes SPF 42, and the formula is infused with Camomile Extract and Rosemary Extract to soothe and rejuvenate the skin whilst offering anti-inflammatory benefits and shielding against UV damage and environmental aggressors.

I think I might try mixing it with my Dior Hydralife BB, which is my absolute favourite, but the lightest shade 01 is slightly too ‘colourful’ for my pale skin. I think these two combined could be just perfect for me!

And lastly the stunning Laura Geller Baked Gelato Swirl Illuminator in Ballerina (£21.00).

Laura Geller is one of those brands I’ve heard about, but again I just hadn’t picked anything up from them. This highlighter though was just so pretty, I couldn’t resist. Ballerina is a lovely warm champagne colour with a hint of peach, and it’s as gorgeous to use as it is to look at.

The Baked Gelato Swirl Illuminator has a fabulous texture that’s kind of creamy, but applies to the face like a fine powder. Its gives the most gorgeous glowy highlight, that’s not shimmery or sparkly in any way. I think I may have just found my holy grail highlighter! 🙂

I also wanted to mention that Beauty Bay have just launched their brand new Makeup Map! Beauty Bay actually undertook an in-depth analysis of over half a million sales transactions across the UK, with the aim of highlighting women’s beauty trends up and down the country. Take a look at the map to see the results!

Six Beauty Brands I Want To Try in 2016

Posted on January 11, 2016

Hi Guys!

Happy New Year!

I’ve just started sorting out my massive beauty stash – one of my resolutions is to get on top of my hoarding problem! And this got me thinking about which brands I haven’t actually tried yet, but really want to. I noticed I’ve checked a few brands off last year’s post, including Kiko, Zoeva and Sunday Riley, and I do also have some Emma Hardie products I received free with a magazine subscription that I haven’t actually used yet, and I’ve literally just picked up a couple of Lorac palettes too, so I think I haven’t done too badly really!

I’ve now put together a little hit list of beauty brands that I want to get my mitts on this year –

Fresh – I’m so glad Fresh have now come to the UK! I’ve been eyeing their gorgeous sounding products on the Sephora site for quite a while now, but never quite got round to making an order. Their lip products sound to die for, including a beautiful array of Sugar Lip Treatments (shown above) my dry lips are desperate to try these out! I’ve also noticed fragrances and candles on their site too *adds to wish list*.

Bite Beauty – Bite just make lip products, from lipsticks to glosses and primers to scrubs, and I really want to try them! Another US based brand that you can’t seem to get in the UK – hence why I haven’t tried anything from their range yet. I’ll definitely be adding some Bite goodies to my next Sephora order.

Tatcha – Another brand that’s been on my radar for a while now, Tatcha are a Japanese brand available at Sephora US, but of course not Sephora France – where us here in the UK can avoid import fees. Anyway, I’ve heard quite a few mixed reviews about this brand, some people love them and some people seem to quite dislike them. This has really just fuelled my intrigue, and I’d definitely like to give some Tatcha products a go myself. Again this is not a cheap brand, but luckily some of the products come in mini sizes for $15 each I believe, so I’ll be adding these to my Sephora basket on my next order.

Laduree make up

Les Merveilleuses Laduree – Possibly the prettiest makeup on the planet, Laduree combines an overly girly style with almost antique looking features. Les Merveilleuses Laduree is very French, very ‘Royal’ looking – and also very expensive. One of the must-have items is the rose petal blush, which on its own is EUR 39, but then you’re going to want the pretty little matching pot to put them in (of course) and that’ll set you back another EUR 81. A few of their products seem to come in two parts like this, which is a shame really. I’ve mentioned Sephora quite a lot so far, and how infuriating is it that the above products are only available at Sephora US, and Laduree products aren’t actually available in the US, but they are in Sephora France, arrgh!

Diana Vreeland fragrances – You know those people that grab you and spray you with perfume in department stores? Well I was (gladly) accosted in Selfridges in the Summer, and left smelling wonderful. I know it was a DV fragrance, but I have no idea which one. I know I want to try more though, so next time I pop into Selfridges I’ll be checking these beautiful looking perfumes out.

tony moly pandas dream hand cream

And lastly, Tony Moly – SO much cuteness! Tony Moly products are just the epitome of eastern Kawaii / cute / kitsch beauty brands. Tony Moly produce a large range of beauty and skincare products, including the ever popular sheet masks, as well as lip balms in the shapes of fruits. And I have good news, you can pick up Tony Moly products from a variety of places in the UK, yay! So I’ll hopefully be trying some of these super cute products out very soon!

Have you got your eye on any new beauty brands? I’d love to hear if you have! xxx

I’m Starting The #SlimFastChallenge!

Posted on January 4, 2016

Hi Guys!

Christmas had been and gone, as has the New Year now, and all we have left to show for it is decorations that need putting away, houses to clean and tidy, and, if you’re like me and you’ve rather over indulged across the festive period, you’re probably feeling bloated, heavy and just a bit gross too. So what better time to get on the wagon and start a proper health kick?

I’ve used SlimFast before, and I really get on with their plan and products, so I’m really excited (and SO ready right now) to get back on it and shift some pounds again! Conveniently for me, SlimFast have also launched a brand new new and free app (available on iOS or Android) which has all the tools, support and motivation you need in one place to aid you on your slimming journey.

I’ve recently downloaded it, and I’m really impressed so far! Once you’ve signed in to the app, it asks for your vital stats (height and weight) and from there you can choose your goals, wether it’s specifically weight loss, to increase fitness or anything else, this app has you covered. One of my favourite parts of the app is the Transformation GIF, allowing you to see the physical difference in your appearance as you lose weight, how awesome is that? I can’t wait to give it a try as I lose weight! You also have access to daily tips and advice, meal plans and meal ideas, and an exclusive, easy exercise programme.

So as of today, I’ve now started healthy eating, and I’ve cut out the junk, and later on this month I’ll also be taking part in the #SlimFastChallenge with some other lovely bloggers. So keep an eye out for Tweets with the #SlimFastChallenge hashtag and blog posts on my progress which will be coming up in the near future!

And lastly, if SlimFast sounds like it could be for you, or maybe you’re not sure and you’d like to find out more, make a note in your diary for Thursday 7th January at 3:30pm, where the one and only Kimberley Walsh from Girls Aloud (who just happens to be a SlimFast ambassador) will be heading up a Twitter chat, where you can ask any questions you may have, join in and chat with others (including me) and you could also win SlimFast a 7 day Starter Kit!

Why not download the app now and join me in the #SlimFastChallenge? WE CAN DO THIS!! xxx
