Marc Jacobs Splash Fragrance Collection

Posted on May 30, 2016

Hi Guys!

I hope you’re having a wonderful bank holiday? I haven’t been up to much as yet, but we’re off to Legoland tomorrow for Fred’s birthday, and I’m so excited! It’s a surprise and he has no idea about it. I can’t wait to see his little face when we arrive! 🙂

So today I have the gorgeous Marc Jacobs Splash collection of fragrances to share with you. The 2016 Splash collection contains four previously released fragrances which due to popular demand, have been re-designed and re-released as limited editions this year. The collection includes four gender-free fragrances – Rain and Cotton from 2006, Cucumber from 2007 and Pear from 2008, which come presented in simple chic square glass bottles, and as a collection, perfectly captures the essence of summer.

Inspired by the original Marc Jacobs’ Splash Collection, the four favorites recapture the essence of summer. Crisp to the senses, yet mellow in color, each Splash indulges in the simple pleasures of the easy-going, light hearted spirit of Marc Jacobs.

Starting with Pear Splash this is a deliciously fresh and juicy pear scent, but not as sweet as you might expect. This is very much a gender-free fragrance, though it definitely captures the essence of summer, the inclusion of teak and musk prevents it from being too sweet and feminine.

  • Top notes: Pear, Lemon and Bergamot.
  • Heart notes: Juniper, Gin and Freesia.
  • Base notes: Teak, Amber and Musk.

Next we have Rain Splash – this is probably my favourite out of the collection. Rain Splash is a beautifully clean, fresh and revitalising scent, conveying the smell of fresh rain, grass and flowers on a bright summers day. Again this is neither masculine nor feminine, but suitable for everyone and anyone that loves a clean and fresh scent.

  • Top notes: Wet Cut Grass, Wild Strawberry, Clementine, and Cypress.
  • Heart notes: Tropical Rain, Passion Flower, Sunflower and White Orchid.
  • Base notes: Amber, Moss, Teak and Musk.

And Cotton Splash – described as the scent of freshness and purity, this fragrance is reminiscent of freshly washed and sun-dried cotton laundry. It’s a clean yet comforting scent capturing the ease and simplicity of summer in a bottle.

  • Top notes: Bergamot, Mandarin, Orange, Peach and Aquatic Accord.
  • Heart notes: Lavender, Jasmine, Lily of the Valley and Cotton Flower.
  • Base notes: White Suede, Blonde Woods, Musk and Sandalwood.

And lastly, Cucumber Splash – this is a wonderfully light and refreshing scent of freesia and cucumber. This is definitely another favourite of mine, this fragrance perfectly captures the juicy, watery essence of cucumber, giving a beautifully clean, crisp and fresh scent.

  • Top notes: Cucumber, Lotus Leaf, Bamboo and Cactus Flower.
  • Heart notes: Lily of the Valley, Linden Blossom, Freesia and Blue Tiger Lily.
  • Base notes: Frosted Musk and Blonde Woods.

I really can’t get enough of these fragrances at the moment, they’re all just so fresh and easy to wear on a day to day basis – and they’re very affordable too at only £38.00 for 100ml – I highly recommend you check these out!

The Marc Jacobs Splash Collection of fragrances are £38.00 each and available now from John Lewis.

Yankee Candle Riviera Escape Collection

Posted on May 26, 2016

Hi Guys!

One of my favourite candles brands, Yankee Candle are back on the blog this evening with their latest collection, inspired by a sun-kissed escape to the Riviera…

The Riviera Escape collection contains four fresh, summery fragranced candles, as well as matching candle accessories –

Starting with Olive & Thyme – This is a wonderfully fresh and bright fragrance, it’s distinctly herbal in nature with a sharp citrus top note which you can’t fail to miss. This fragrance is inspired by the Mediterranean coast, including notes of olive leaf, citrus and musk, to whisk you away on an Italian adventure.

Next, Riviera Escape – This is definitely my favourite candle out of the collection. Riviera Escape is a beautiful clean and fresh coastal scent, evoking glittering promenades, full with hillsides of beautiful blossoms glowing in the sun. This scent instantly takes me to the coast and I can’t get enough of it!

And Sea Sage & Salt – Now this fragrance is described as ‘warm and inviting, sage mingles with the clean, fresh scent of sea salt…like a relaxing walk along the shore’ but I have to say I really don’t get this at all. To me, this candle smells like men’s aftershave! It really reminds me of my dad for some reason! This is definitely a masculine scent, and not really one for me unfortunately.

And lastly Summer Peach – This scent is almost mouthwateringly juicy – I mean my mouth literally nearly waters when I smell this candle! Fans of sweet scents will love the Summer Peach candle – echoing ripe peaches straight from the orchard, warmed by the sun and begging for that first juicy bite, this fragrance is the epitome of summer.

The Riviera Escape collection is available now at Yankee Candle.

MAC Versicolour Stain – The Gloss / Stain Hybrid

Posted on

Hi Guys!

I have another fantastic new product from MAC to share with you today – this is the Versicolour Stain, a liquid lip colour offering the ultimate fusion of a gloss and a stain in one product.

The ultimate fusion of gloss + stain in one fluid formula that melts onto lips for a full-on glassy shine that lasts and lasts and lasts. Infused with emollient oils, its creamy, lightweight texture stays bright, lustrous and so comfortable without ever cracking or peeling. Like an energy shot for your lips, a range of resilient hues live long into the day (and night).

I’ve been trying out shade Preserving Passion, which is described as a deep wine colour. The colour payoff wasn’t quite as intense as I’d initially expected, but overall it is a fab little lip stain, giving a medium colour payoff with a nice glossy finish. This did last all day on my lips, which is great news, but I should also note that the formula felt quite drying as the day went on – which can often be the case with stain products. So you’ll just want to make sure your lips are in tip top condition before using this product 🙂

The Versicolour Stains are available in 16 bright and intense shades –

  • Always & Forever – pinky salmon.
  • Can’t Stop Won’t Stop – intense warm orange.
  • Careless Energy – bright raspberry pink.
  • Constant Craving – mid tone blue pink.
  • Energy Shot – pale nude pink.
  • Forever, Darling – intense orange red.
  • It’s Neverending – deep raspberry.
  • Last Minute – intense pinky cranberry.
  • Let’s Stay Together – mid tone warm pink.
  • Long Distance Relationship – intense mid tone violet.
  • Long Live The Night – pale warm nude.
  • Perpetual Holiday – deep grape purple.
  • Preserving Passion – deep wine.
  • Resilient Rouge – bright cherry red.
  • Tattoo My Heart – bright pinky coral.
  • Truly Everlasting – bright warm pink.

MAC Veriscolour Stain is £20.00 and available now from MAC.

Introducing Jeroboam, A Celebration of Musk

Posted on May 25, 2016

Hi Guys!

After a few days off with a horrible sickness virus that nearly landed me in hospital, I feel like I’m finally back in the land of the living – just. I’m not quite 100% yet but I’m nearly better, and I’m now starting to catch up with all the blogging I’ve missed from the last few days!

When it comes to beauty products, fragrance has to be the most personal – what one person loves where it comes to scent, another will hate. And when you finally find a fragrance that you love, most stick with it for years. You’ll know by now that I’m a total fragrance fanatic, and I really am beyond excited as I think I may have just found my new signature scent!

Jeroboam is a brand new niche scent company, with a stunning range of five musk-based extrait de parfum scents on offer. Dscribed as a dynamic new fusion of tradition and modernism, from the Jovoy perfume house founder, François Henin, and renowned perfumer Vanina Muracciole, the story behind this collection starts with François feeing that he had become anosmic to musk – meaning he wasn’t able to smell it any more. He asked Vanina to isolate some musks for him, to experiment with them and then share her findings with him, and the result was a collection of five breathtaking enigmatic musk scents…

Vanina chose to name the fragrances in Esperanto (the most widely spoken constructed language in the world, so Wikipedia tells me) to emphasize their universality. Here are the five fragrances –

Origino – this is a base fragrance to be worn alone or under other fragrances, Origino is described as an exquisite cocktail of enigmatic musks with extraordinary longevity –

Top Notes: Bergamot and Pink Peppercorns.
Heart Notes: Juniper and Nutmeg.
Base Notes: Sandalwood and Enigmatic Musks.

Insulo – the Island referred to here is Madagascar, home of vanilla. This is a mouth wateringly seductive oriental musk that is impossible to resist –

Top Notes: Vanilla.
Heart Notes: Jasmine.
Base Notes: Enigmatic Musks.

Oriento – heady and enticing, this oriental floral musk combines musk with a beautiful rose oud accord for an extraordinarily long lasting silage –

Top Notes: Lemon, Saffron and Styrax.
Heart Notes: Rose, Ylang Ylang and Apple.
Base Notes: Sandalwood, Patchouli and Enigmatic Musks.

Miksado – a beautiful blend of fragrant ingredients resulting in a purely addictive fragrance in which fruity and spicy notes fuse with an assemblage of precious woods and musk –

Top Notes: Bergamot, Labdanum and Saffron.
Heart Notes: Cedar, Geranium and Gaiac Wood.
Base Notes: Patchouli, Vanilla and Enigmatic Musks.

And lastly – Hauto – Hauto means skin, and this floral solar musk is an invitation to experience the fragrance of the skin. With its stunning tuberose heart, this is a fragrance to be worn with confidence!

Top Notes: Bergamot and Pineapple.
Heart Notes: Tuberose, Rose, and Spices.
Base Notes: Enigmatic Musks.

Hauto is the one fragrance I’ve tried from this range, and if this is a benchmark for the rest of the collection, I literally cannot wait to try the others. Hauto is probably one of the most beautiful fragrances I’ve ever had the pleasure of smelling, and I’m completely in love with it!

I don’t think I can describe in words how wonderful it is – I can say is, if you’re a fan of Tuberose and Musk scents, you need this in your life, it’s simply stunning.

The Jeroboam collection of fragrances is available at Selfridges now, priced at £80 for 30ml extrait de parfum.

MAC Pro Longwear Waterproof Colour Sticks

Posted on May 19, 2016

Hi Guys!

MAC are back on the blog today with another collection of fantastic new products! The Pro Longwear Waterproof Colour Sticks have just launched in time for summer, and they really are everything you need to create a multitude of waterproof, long lasting eye looks.

These larger than life jumbo eye pencils come in a range of 21 shades, including both matte and sparkling frost finishes. The formula is super creamy and easy to manipulate, and the style of both the pencil and the formula of the product means you can use the Pro Longwear Waterproof Colour Sticks to create unlimited eye looks.

You can apply the pencils with a light touch and easily smudge out for an all over medium intensity colour on the lid, or use the product more heavily for an intense, full on colour look. You can also use as a chunky statement eye liner – these pencils are amazingly versatile so the possibilities are almost endless! I should also mention the pigmentation, which really is fantastic – described as ‘high definition colour’ you can get medium to full coverage with just one swipe of the pencil across the lid.

I also love that the formala is long lasting and waterproof, so you don’t have to worry about your makeup smudging around your eyes throughout the day. These pencils promise 24-hour long wear too, which is very impressive indeed – I’m not sure that anyone would really keep their makeup on that long, but even so it’s handy to bear in mind! I have four of the 21 shades –

  • Cinder Black – deep intense black
  • Frisky Blue – bright cobalt blue
  • Sand Bar – soft caramel nude
  • Sweet Praline – soft light peach

I love shades Frisky Blue and Sand Bar especially, I’m looking forward to experimenting with these over the next few weeks!

MAC Pro Longwear Waterproof Colour Sticks are £16.00 each and available now at MAC.

Rosie for Autograph at M&S Makeup Collection

Posted on May 18, 2016

Hi Guys,

Now you know how much I love rose gold – I know it’s such a blogger cliche but I really don’t care! So when the Rosie Huntington-Whitely for Autograph collection arrived at M&S, I was in some sort of crazy rose gold beauty heaven! The collection is SO beautiful, as well as being affordable, I couldn’t wait to try the products out and tell you all about them…

The exclusive Rosie for Autograph make up range has been developed in collaboration with Rosie Huntington Whiteley. Combining Rosie’s make up tips and secrets with high quality ingredients, this range is developed to deliver amazing results. Inspired by Rosie’s career as a model, actress and her love of vintage, at the heart of this exclusive beauty collection lies Rosie’s natural, glamorous look.

The collection contains a massive range of colour products, including pretty much everything you can imagine – there’s a lovely selection of eyshadow palettes, products for highlighting and bronzing, some gorgeous looking lipsticks, and a lovely collection of fragrances.

It’s also worth mentioning that this range of products is ‘Made with integrity‘, with neither the products nor their ingredients having been tested on animals.

Starting with the Eyeshadow Palette (£18.00) – there are four options available of this eyeshadow quad, all with neutral, easy to wear shades –  I have Copper Gold Rush, which includes a light muted lilac matte shade, a  mauve pink shimmer, a mid coffee brown cool toned shade, and a light creamy pink.

The formula of the shadows is fine and creamy, and they really do apply and blend like a dream!

Next is the Cream Blush (£14.00) – this is described as a silky soft weightless cream blush, that blends and builds easily to an undetectable powder finish – and it does exactly that. It has a wonderfully creamy velvet texture, that applies like a cream but gives a powder finish on the skin. I have the shade Camisole Blush which is gorgeous muted peachy coral, perfect for summer.

The Amazing Radiance Cream (£18.00) is a light weight, brightening cream created to add instant radiance to your complexion. Much like a strobe cream, or even a brightening moisturiser, the Amazing Radiance Cream gives a hint of glow and sheen to the skin, perfect for adding luminosity before applying your foundation. I should just point out this has a very light, easy to wear texture, and you can easily wear this on it’s own, or under foundation – this is a must have for a natural looking dewy glow.

The Bronzer (£18.00) comes in two shades – Magic Contour, the lightest shade which I have above, and Bronzed Beauty which is slightly darker. Magic Contour is the perfect bronzer for very light to light skin tones – which can be notoriously difficult to find the right shade for. This product gives a really natural sun-kissed look to the skin, without making skin look muddy or orange. The formula is silky and soft, giving a slight soft-focus effect for a smoother looking complexion.

And lastly the Cream Eyeshadow Stick (£12.50) again this comes in four neutral shades, I have Almond Eyes, a beautiful champagne beige shade with a metallic finish. It glides on the lid really easily with no tugging, and blends out to give either a sheer shimmery wash of colour, or you can easily build up the product for a more intense look. The finish is long-lasting and crease resistant.

Overall it’s just a stunning collection, the packaging is gorgeous, as well as being fantastic quality, and the products are well worth their pricing. I can’t get enough of the Amazing Radiance Cream and Bronzer right now!

You can shop the Rosie for Autograph collection now at Marks & Spencer.

Cohorted May 2016 Beauty Box Review

Posted on May 17, 2016

Hi Guys!

Time seems to be flying at the moment – surely it hasn’t been a month since Cohorted’s last box landed on my doorstep?? Well it has! May’s box has just landed, so let’s take a look inside…

  • theBalm Voyage Vol 2 Palette, worth £37.50.
  • Hourglass Opaque Rouge Gloss in shade Canvas, worth £23.00.
  • HJ Manicure Nail Polish in shade Lavender, worth £9.50.
  • Jimmy Choo EDP 4.5ml, worth £10.00.

Total value of box: £80.00

Ok so on first glance, this box isn’t quite as exciting as last month’s in my opinion, just because there’s only three products in here plus a luxury sample, whereas last month there were five full sized products, with one also being a kit. So this box does seem a bit sparse in comparison.

theBalm Voyage Vol 2 Palette has to be the stand out product though, doesn’t it? This palette is basically an all-in-one travel palette, including pretty much everything you could need when on the go. The palette includes nine eyeshdows in neutral, easy to wear shades, ranging from light to dark so you’d be able to get quite a few looks out of these. There’s also a highlighter, a bronzer, two blush shades and two multi-purpose lip and cheek shades. This is a lovely little set and would definitely come in handy if you like to travel light.

Next is the Hourglass Opaque Rouge Gloss in Canvas. Now this has to be the least glossy lip gloss I’ve ever used! Not that I’m complaining – but this is way closer to a liquid lipstick than a gloss. This product gives no shine, and sets to a matte finish on the lips. I really like it! But it’s not a gloss by any means. The shade Canvas is really nice too – it’s a mid tone pink which will suit most complexions.

The HJ Manicure Nail Polish in Lavender feels like a bit of a filler product to me, if you know what I mean – it’s nice enough but I’m not really excited by it. It is a good sized bottle of polish though, with 14.8ml of product – which will probably last you forever. The shade I have is Lavender which is a mid toned purple, with a cream finish.

And lastly the Jimmy Choo EDP, this is a lovely everyday fragrance, in a deluxe size 4.5ml sample bottle. This is handy to keep in your bag so you don’t need to carry around a large bottle of perfume with you – my only niggle here though is I do feel this has been over-valued at £10. You can currently pick up a 60ml bottle of this fragrance for under £27.00.

Though I do feel slightly underwhelmed with this box, it’s by no means terrible at all. I’m looking forward to trying out theBalm palette especially!

Do you have this box? I’d love to hear your thoughts. I hope you enjoyed my post xxx

MAC X Brooke Candy Limited Edition Collection

Posted on May 16, 2016

Hi Guys!

I have a few products from the rather fabulous and daring MAC X Brooke Candy collection to share with you today – now I’m going to admit, I wasn’t aware of Brooke Candy before I heard about this collection. It turns out she’s a rapper, musician, performer and just an all round internet sensation…

Fiercely independent digital sensation Brooke Candy returns to M·A·C with her feisty colour collection uniting the past, present and future of her creative spirit. Shades for eyes, lips and nails dare you to stand up and stand out. Bold, brave, unusual, unstoppable!

The MAC X Brooke Candy is a sizeable collection containing Lipsticks, Studio Eye Glosses, a Haute & Naughty Lash Mascara, Vamplify Lip Glosses, Lip Pencils, a Bronzing Powder, and Nail Lacquers.

The packaging has a high shine chrome finish, with a black and grey paint spatter print, as well as the MAC X Brooke Candy logo. The whole feel of the collection is edgy – with the visuals featuring a ghostly white Brooke Candy with black tears dripping down her face, and the most dead-on stare possible. I’m pretty sure she’s staring into your soul… 😀

Ok so let’s start with the Lipsticks (£17.00), there are four boldly confident shades in this collection, including two which already offered my MAC –

  • Whirl – dirty rose (from main line)
  • Doowop – pink pop.
  • Mind Control – bright cherry red (from main line)
  • Witching Hour – rich purple.

I have Doowop, this is a beautiful bright and intense blue-pink, verging on fuchsia. It has a mate finish and it really is brighter than bright! The finish on the lips is super opaque, as well as long lasting, and this shade really reminds me of Kelly Yum Yum from the Osbournes collection a couple of years back.

Next is the Vamplify Lip Glass (£20.00), described as a lip gloss infused with colour-boosting technology loaded with pigments, this comes in two shades – Pamela, above, described as a dirty rose colour, and Till Death Do Us Part, an intense dark purple. Pamela looks very similar to the lipstick in Whirl in terms of colour, and also very similar in shade to Kat Von D’s famous Liquid Lipstick in Lolita.

I love both the look and feel of Pamela, the gloss gives fantastic colour payoff and a high shine, and it also has MAC’s signature vanilla scent. The formula is smooth and creamy, and it feels moisturising and comfortable on the lips. The colour itself is also the perfect 90’s muted rose-brown shade, I love it!

There are also two Studio Eye Glosses (£17.50) included in this collection – White-Yin, a shimmer white with multicoloured pearl, and Black-Yang, a black with red and blue pearl. This is my first experience of MAC’s Studio Eye Glosses, so I was interested to see what I’d make of them…

White-Yin is a clear based gloss with multicoloured micro-sparkles. Though the sparkle is multi coloured, it definitely leans heavily toward pink / orange. The formula is like a thick sticky balm, and I wasn’t sure if it would dry or not – and it turns out it definitely stays sticky to touch after application. I think this is a bit of a Marmite product – you’ll either love it, or really dislike it.

And lastly, I have the Bronzing Powder in Golden (£24.00) this is a gorgeous mid golden tan shade, with a slight hint of shimmer. It gives a beautiful natural looking glow to the complexion, and works well on fair skin tones when applied with a light touch, or just as well built up on mid skin tones too.

Overall, this is definitely an interesting and daring collection. I love the theme, and the packaging is pretty awesome too! The Vamplify Lip Glass in Pamela and Bronzing Powder in Golden have to be my favourite products though!

The MAC X Brooke Candy Collection is available now at MAC Cosmetics.

The Youtuber Beauty Brand Collabs for 2016 You Need To Know About!

Posted on May 15, 2016

Hi Guys!

I just cannot deal with all the exciting new releases that I’ve been hearing about lately – especially from some of my favourite beauty Youtubers! So I thought I’d gather together all the info and gossip I could find on the latest as well as up and coming Youtuber beauty collaborations for you…

Let’s start with Nikkie Tutorials & Too Faced, as both Nikkie and the brand have now confirmed the collaboration. I’ve been scouring the interwebs for info and gossip, and all I can find is that the collaboration is described as an ‘exclusive kit’ and it will be out in the Autumn – how exciting! Nikkie has shared what looks like a close up of the packaging on her Instagram. Keep your eyes peeled on her page for more teasers and details coming up though!

In other news, Too faced also have a load of new launches coming up – there’s the Born This Way Concealers, a limited edition ‘Totally Cute‘ palette, where you can customise the case with Too Faced stickers, as well as Japanese inspired Sketch Marker Liquid Eyeliners in a massive range of shades, Brow Quickies, Lip Injection Glossies, and also a brand new Chocolate Chip Palette coming out in Spring 2017. I can’t wait!!

I couldn’t get through this post without including my love, Jeffree Star. Jeffree is one of my favourite Youtubers, and apart from his own amazingly successful makeup range, Jeffree has recently announced his collaboration with Morphe later this year. He’s bringing out a range of barbie pink metallic makeup brushes – don’t they look awesome!

I also wanted to mention Jeffree’s own line, as he’s just launched some gorgeous new shades of Velour Liquid Lipsticks, in Gemini, Scropio and Breakfast at Tiffany’s. There’s also some brand new products coming out on May 25th – there will be four shades of Skinfrost Highlighters, as well as Jeffree’s very first eyeshadow palette – Beauty Killer, including ten amazing looking shades. Get this date in your diary now!

Next, the latest hot gossip from Grav3yard Girl, aka Bunny is that she’s collaborating with Tarte! Bunny is keeping this on the down low at the moment, I can only find a picture of what is possibly some product packaging, and another of Bunny holding two products which are possibly liquid lipsticks or lip glosses. Both are in black and white so we have no idea what the shades are – I’d advise to keep an eye on Bunny’s Instagram account for more teasers and news!

Next, after the massive success of Champagne Pop last year, Jaclyn Hill is teaming up with Becca again to launch the brand new Champagne Glow Face Palette. It includes three blushers in shimmer, matte and satin finishes, and two large golden highlighters – her original Champagne Pop, as well as a brand new shade called Prosecco Pop. This will be available at Sephora on May 26th.

There are also reports, and now images coming up online of a Jaclyn X Becca eyeshadow palette too – doesn’t it look beautiful! Neither Jaclyn nor Becca have confirmed it yet, but beauty goss reporter Trendmood1 has shared this on Instagram, so I’m hoping it’s the real deal as I NEED IT!

And lastly, another of my favourite Youtubers, Manny MUA. Everyone and their dog went crazy for his Manny MUA X Makeup Geek palette which recently launched and sold out in seconds – I have it and it really is gorgeous!

Manny has also recently launched three Liquid Lipsticks with Ofra Cosmetics too, in shades Aries, Charmed and Hypno – these are top of my wish list!

So I think that’s just about it! Are you excited about any of these launches? Please also let me know in the comments if I’ve missed anything out!

I hope you enjoyed my post! xxx

Urban Decay Alice Through The Looking Glass Palette & Lipsticks Review + Giveaway! #UDinWonderland

Posted on May 13, 2016

Hi Guys!

Unless you’ve been living in a cave, all beauty addicts will know by now that the latest limited edition collection from Urban Decay has just landed. The Alice through The Looking Glass collection contains a stunning eyeshadow palette as well as five outlandish lipsticks, and you really do need them in your life – read on to find out why!

We can definitely relate to the Cheshire Cat’s proclamation, “We’re all mad here.” Urban Decay introduces the Alice Through the Looking Glass Eyeshadow Palette. Inspired by the new fantasy-adventure film release of Disney’s Alice Through the Looking Glass, in theaters May 27th, 2016, this limited-edition, pop-up palette is a trippy tribute to our favorite characters from the film. Using this visually stunning film as our inspiration, we painstakingly created the perfect mix of 20 ALL-NEW shades, then arranged them all in columns by character and put them in an intricately designed, collectible palette. Match up the columns to steal their looks or mix up these shades to create countless others. From softer shades inspired by Alice’s look in the film to bold, bright shades like those seen on the Mad Hatter, it’s all here.

Firstly, let’s take a look at the palette. This palette is EVERYTHING. You lift the top up to reveal a mirror, then pull up the tabs to reveal a 3D pop up butterfly – how awesome is that!!

It also has 20 all new and rather gorgeous eyeshadow shades hidden in a drawer underneath the butterfly, there’s matte, satin and shimmer shades in there, and of course a double ended brush as per usual from Urban Decay – it really is just as exciting to open up as I’d anticipated!

Ok so let’s take a closer look at the shadows – there’s a fantastic range of colours included in this palette, from soft nudes and browns, which are some of the easiest colours to wear, right through to some crazy bright and intense shades, such as Metamorphosis, an intense periwinkle blue, and Cake, a bright fuchsia pink shimmer.

I have done some swatches but I should point out that they really no not do these shadows justice I’m afraid, the colours are way more intense and beautiful in real life –

  • Looking Glass – a pale pink demi-matte.
  • Hatter – a vibrant green with micro-sparkle.
  • Lily – an iridescent opal pink pearl.
  • Heads Will Roll – a vibrant bright turquoise with gold micro-sparkle.
  • Time – a black-navy satin with soft iridescent micro-sparkle.

Lily is just beautiful, and probably my favourite shade from this row, it has the prettiest iridescence to it that I wasn’t able to capture. Heads Will Roll is also a gorgeous shade that I can’t wait to experiment with.

  • Reflection – a soft matte peach.
  • Gone Mad – an aubergine purple with pink iridescent pearl.
  • Duchess – a peach with a pink iridescent shift and micro-sparkle.
  • Bandersnatch – a deep matte teal.
  • Dream On – a metallic silver-lilac shimmer.

I love Bandersnatch! It’s such an intense matte shade, and Dream On is so sparky and shimmery, it looks beautiful when it catches the light.

  • Dormouse – a warm brown matte with gold micro-sparkle.
  • Paradox – a vibrant orange with gold pearl shimmer.
  • Kingdom – a copper-bronze pearl shimmer.
  • Salazen – an intense metallic crimson shimmer.
  • Chronosphere – a deep metallic shimmer bronze.

The third row is definitely my favourite though, I love all the shades here, Paradox and Salazen have really caught my eye though, they’re buttery soft and so amazingly well pigmented.

  • Metamorphosis – a vibrant periwinkle blue with micro-sparkles.
  • Cake – an intense blue-pink with silver micro-shimmer.
  • Chessboard – a medium brown matte.
  • Royal Flush – a light cream shimmer.
  • Mirror – a mid grey-taupe satin.

And on the last row, Metamorphosis and Cake are easily the stand out shades here – both are gorgeous and unusual.

And the lipsticks! There are five lipsticks in this collection, in an array of loud and outlandish colours…

  • Time – Gunmetal-navy with silver shimmer.
  • Alice – Sheer nude with pink shift.
  • Iracebeth – Bright red matte.
  • Mad Hatter – Bright purple shimmer.
  • Mirana – Matte berry with tonal shimmer.

Apart from the shade Alice, these lipsticks really aren’t for the faint hearted! I love Time, a deep navy blue with a slight shimmer, and Iracebeth is absolutely beautiful, it’s a bright red matte, slightly on the pinkish side, but only slightly – this red is just stunning.
