Summer Brights! The Best of Coral and Orange Lip Products!

Posted on August 11, 2014

Hi Guys!

I thought i’d put together a little post to show you all my favourite bright lippies, I’ve got quite a few  and it was hard to cut them down, but I’ve managed to get together four orange shades and four corals for this post, I’ll then put together another post shortly with the pinks and reds!

So first up I’ve put the Oranges together… |I used to be scared of orange lipstick, any orange makeup for that matter, but as soon as I saw MAC’s Morange I knew I needed to try it, and now I’ve got a bit of a collection going on!

1. Revlon Just Bitten Kissable in 040 Rendesvous. If you want to try an orange lip but you’re a bit unsure as I was, this is a great ‘starter’ orange, it’ll just give your lips a hint of colour. It’s moisturising too!

2. Maybelline Color Sensational Lipstick in 912 Electric Orange. As soon as I saw this I was like WOW! This is such a true bright tangerine colour, and I love Maybelline lipsticks as a cheaper alternative to MAC. I highly recommend this if you want a high street priced tangerine orange.

3. Sleek Pout Paint in 155 Lava. Again another super bright colour, this is definitely the most intense of the lot! The pigmentation in this product is amazing, it’s like OCC Lip Tars but without the price tag! Sleek also offer a great range of colours in their Pout Paint’s so there should be something to suit everyone if you’re not a fan of orange!

4. MAC Morange. Morange has to be my favourite orange at the moment. It’s just so intense!  The formula is spot on too, it’s creamy and forgiving on the lips, giving you fab even coverage. It also has the most amazing colour payoff that lasts for hours on end. If you’re an orange lip fan you need this in your life!

And now the lovely Corals!

S&G Sexy Mother Pucker Gloss Stick in Fuchsia-Ristic. Now I’m gonna be honest, I didnt actually know I had this until I was rummaging throughout my makeup drawers and spotted it! I think I must have bought it from a blog sale a while ago and completely forgot! Oops! Anyway, this is a pretty pinkish coral gloss which is great for a hint of colour!

Lord & Berry Shining Lipstick in Fire. I’ve recently rediscovered this from the back of my stash. Fire is  an intense reddish coral with a semi-matte finish. This is a fab statement colour if you wanted something slightly different from a true red.

Maybelline Color Sensational Lipstick in 910 Shocking Coral. This is such a pretty, easy to wear colour. Maybelline’s Color Sensation Lipsticks are really underrated, they have a fab formula and are really affordable.

Too Faced Melted Lipstick in Melted Coral Ahh my new favourite lipstick of all time, this really is the most perfect coral shade, click on the link to take a look at it on me and you’ll see what I mean! This is the most perfect true coral colour, and the formula is EVERYTHING. I can’t wait to get my hands on the rest of the Melted Lipsticks!

I’d love to hear which coral or orange lip shades you’re loving this summer? xxx

Too Faced Melted Lipstick in Melted Violet | Review

Posted on June 27, 2014

Hi Guys!

If you saw my birthday Sephora Haul the other day, you’ll know I picked up a couple of the Too Faced Melted Lipsticks. I’m a complete newbie to Too Faced, I’d heard of them but never tried any of their products before. But when I saw reviews and pictures of the new Melted Lipsticks popping up all over the internet and blogosphere I knew these would be right up my street!

The Melted Lipsticks originally came in six colours, but I’ve just checked the Too Faced site and seen they’ve brought out four new colours, yay! The idea is they have the staying power of a stain with the intense colour of a liquid lipstick and the high shine of a gloss in one long-wear formula.

Too Faced says –

  • Too Faced Co-Founder and Creative Director Jerrod Blandino had never seen lipstick more beautiful, intense, rich and glossy than when it’s in its melted form in the cosmetic labs. With this inspiration, we created a lipstick liquified so it doesn’t lose its pigment or shine while keeping a comfortable, flexible and cushiony wear.
  • Provides high-impact, super rich, saturated pigment in a long-wear formula.
  • Precision tip applicator to allow for a clean, effortless application each time (no liner needed!)

The Melted Lipsticks come in bright packaging to reflect the colour of the product, and I really like the tube and box, they look fun and colourful but also high quality and expensive. The applicator tip is circular in shape and has a fluffy finish, you just squeeze the tube and the product appears at the tip.

Now this is going to be a bold statement, but I need to say that this is officially my favourite beauty product of the year. It officially is. I can’t fault this lipstick at all. The colour is perfect; it’s by far my favourite shade of purple, and I own a lot of purples. The formula is smooth and creamy and makes my lips feel just fabulous. It doesn’t bleed at the edge of the lips, it doesn’t sink into the creases of the lips, and it doesn’t dry my lips out at all, it’s just perfect! I NEED TO BUY ALL THE COLOURS NOW!!!

What do you think? Do you love this colour? I think I’m in love, am I crazy? I also have Melted Coral which will be up on the blog next week! Yippeeee!!! (Sorry I’m feeling rather giddy with joy!)

If you want to nab one of these up for yourself, the cheapest price I can find them in the UK is £16.91 from Debenhams with free delivery.

I’d love to hear if you’ve tried ant Melted Lipsticks? xxx
