Ciate Wow Collection Holographic Jewel Nail Polish Review and Swatches
17 February, 2013I bought this polish from ASOS the other day after lusting after it for ages. ‘This shimmering paint pot gives your manicure that instant sparkle factor with pieces of Jewel coloured strands that catch the light, reflecting a multi-coloured tone.’Ā Here are the results –
Firstly I thought I’d better cut my nails as they’re getting a bit long and wonkey!
This is better, I then added a Sally Hansen clear base coat.
Jewel has a sheer purple, almost clear base so I decided to use Nails Inc Putney Bridge as a base colour. This is a fabulous colour and only one coat was needed.
I then added one coat of jewel. The sparkles transferred to my nails really well, I found that using short strokes helped transfer them.
And then I added a second coat, and WOW it looked amazing!!
The result really was fantastic! The lilac sparkles catch the light and because they are also holographic, you get multi-dimensional rainbow sparkles, amazing!! Unfortunately my camera couldn’t capture the depth of the sparkles very well, I took some more pictures under a direct light so you can get an idea of the holographic effect. (excuse the bottles in the picture below, this was taken under the light on my kitchen counter š
Ciate Jewel costs £9 and is available direct from Ciate here and from ASOS here.

Looks great and wowee its neat! I can NEVER get my nails so neat! Im rubbish at painting my nails! x
Thanks! A good trick for neat nails is don’t paint right to the edge of the nail, this way you get a straighter line š xx
