Congham Hall Spa Day Review

Congham Hall Spa Day Review

Hi Guys!

I was recently contacted by the lovely people at Congham Hall Hotel & Spa to review a spa treatment for them. I thought this would be the perfect end to my hen party weekend so I booked the Elemental Herbology Facial for the Monday after my weekend in Brighton. I love Elemental Herbology products – I don’t actually own any but I’ve tried samples which I’ve loved so I was really excited about this!

We arrived at Congham Hall and it was absolutely gorgeous. It’s a privately owned Georgian Manor near Kings Lynn, set in 30 acres of parkland and pretty gardens. The Manor has been converted into a beautiful hotel and has recently been renovated to a very high standard.

The Hall is stunning inside and out – I’d love to stay in the hotel some day!

We were greeted and shown around, and led over to the spa for a look around. Before sitting down to lunch we took a stroll around the pretty gardens.

Congham Hall Gardens

‘The gardens play an important role in the life of Congham Hall, providing homegrown produce for the restaurant tables and cut flowers to scent the rooms. The renowned Herb Garden, with its collection of 400 varieties, is a visitor attraction in its own right. Along with the kitchen garden, it is harvested daily to enhance the menu, which celebrates locally sourced, seasonal produce.’

Lunch was very tasty indeed! I had Crispy Duck Confit with garden vegetables, smoked garlic mash and lentil jus. And my friend had a starter of Sliced Parma Ham with celeriac remoulade, garden leaves and a balsamic glaze (below), with Smoked Salmon with roasted artichoke & lemon risotto and a soft poached egg to follow.

My friend enjoyed the spa facilities including a swimming pool, sauna and hot tub, while I went for my facial.

The Elemental Herbology facial was simply divine, and my therapist was lovely. She explained everything and asked if I had any skin concerns before she started – I advised that I have dry and sometimes sensitive skin, so she tailored my facial to suit me.

My facial included –

  • Eye & Lip Cleanse
  • Double cleanse
  • Exfoliation
  • Aloe Vera Applied to face then cold stone lymph drainage
  • Décolleté, face and head massage
  • Mask
  • Foot massage whilst mask is on
  • Removal of mask and moisturisers applied

I was then given a ‘prescription’ advising which products had been used, and any recommended products specifically for my skin.

I then had a lovely herbal tea and a lay down in the relaxation room 🙂

Well, this was definitely my idea of heaven! We had a lovely relaxing afternoon and my skin felt amazing after the facial, my face has never felt so clean! If you’re looking for a high quality spa treatment I highly recommend Congham Hall, I cannot fault my experience at all.

I hope you enjoyed my review! xx

You forgot to mention the amazing rainfall showers in the pool area! I just wanted to stay in there listening to the tropical sounds and feeling the different spray sensations. I closed my eyes and drifted away..Never experienced these before or since. Simply amazing 😉
