You may have noticed by now that I’m a major perfume fanatic, one brand I haven’t mentioned too much as yet though is actually one of my all time favourites – Elie Saab.
I currently have three fragrances in my Elie Saab collection, including their latest launch which is the brand new Rose Couture EDT. So I thought I’d tell you a little about them today…
My first Elie Saab fragrance was The Resort Collection EDT. It’s just the most gorgeous summery scent, and I’ll recommend this to anyone and everyone that’ll listen! The Resort Collection is definitely a bit of an odd name for a perfume, and as you can probably guess it takes its name from designers’ popular ready to wear pre-season ‘Resort’ fashion collections. These always come out in the summer months – and Elie Saab has really captured the true essence of a luxurious summer holiday in this stunning fragrance. Imagine yourself lounging on a yacht, off the coast of St Tropez, with a glass of champagne – you get the idea! This scent is luxurious, with top notes of sweet fig and mandarin zest, heart notes of orange blossom, white jasmine and frangipani flower, and a base of cedar and amber, and it’s definitely a must have for the summer months.
My second Elie Saab fragrance, called simply Le Parfum EDP, is actually Elie Saab’s very first fragrance, created in 2011. It’s a gorgeous every day scent, opening with beautiful sun-kissed orange blossom. Jasmine absolute combines with a pure, modern patchouli at the heart and the base unfolds into a cedar woody accord combined with rose honey. It’s elegant, feminine and easy to wear – definitely another must have fragrance.
And lastly the brand new Rose Couture EDT. This is actually a re-vamped version of the above Le Parfum from 2011, so I knew I was going to love it! It is very much like Le Parfum as it does have certain notes that are the same, such as orange blossom and jasmine, but Rose Couture has the extra addition of rose and peony to give it more of a floral essence.
Opening with combination of orange blossom, silky rose petals and peony, Rose Couture gives a wonderful instant floral hit. The beautiful heart of orange blossom then mingles with jasmine and delicious rose nectar, ending with a base of voluptuous sandalwood and patchouli. If you love floral scents, Rose couture really is a must try!
Next on my list to try from Elie Saab is the La Collection des Essences range, this is a collection of four couture fragrances Elie Saab has created with master Perfumer Francis Kurkdjian, and they sound simply amazing – I can’t wait to try them out!
I’d love to hear if you’re a fan of any of these scents, and what your favourite perfume brands are right now? I hope you enjoyed my post xxx
