Sephora Is Coming To The UK: Everything You Need To Know!
14 October, 2022
There’s been rumours flying around for a few years now, but at last it’s been confirmed, Sephora is finally coming to the UK!
After an initial 5 year run in the early 2000’s, Sephora is launching in the UK for the second time. Following the purchase of Feelunique last year, Sephora will be completely taking over the Feelunique site on Monday 17th October 2022 – only a few more days to go!
The online launch will be followed by the opening of a Sephora store in London in Spring 2023 (date and destination to be confirmed)
The most important thing we want to know is, which brands will they be stocking? Some of the brands exclusive to Sephora UK include:
- Tarte Cosmetics
- ILIA
- Makeup by Mario
- ONE/SIZE by Patrick Starrr
- GXVE by Gwen Stefani
- Skinfix
- Vegamour
- Sephora Collection
(It seems a few of these brands are already available in the UK, so I’ll be interested to see if different products are on offer compared to what we can already purchase elsewhere)
Sephora will also offer an expansive assortment of premium beauty brands, including Pat McGrath Labs, Fenty Beauty, Gisou, Rose Inc, JVN, Glow Recipe, and many more. Sephora’s holiday gifts and advent calendars will also be available on the website at launch – I’m looking forward to these especially!
“At Sephora, we innovate every day to build the most loved beauty community. We are delighted to bring Sephora to the UK, responding to Britain’s strong demand for our unique prestige beauty experience. UK customers will be encouraged to explore and discover the best versions of themselves as we support them in their beauty journey with a fantastic curation of time-tested classics and new indie brands
“We will offer British consumers a pioneering selection of beauty that is best in class for innovation, diversity and inclusion. The UK is home to a dynamic beauty and wellbeing market that Sephora will aim to surprise and delight through our trademark know how and creativity. Our passionate team cannot wait to serve and inspire UK customers under the Sephora brand,” said Chris de Lapuente, Chairman and CEO at Sephora
Fingers crossed there’s going to be more brands available that we can’t currently purchase elsewhere in the UK, but we’ll have to wait till Monday to find out! Sephora is going to have stiff competition from the likes of Cult Beauty, and even Boots, who have massively upped their game when it comes to beauty in recent years. I really hope Sephora can make it work this time around and become a permanent fixture in the UK beauty landscape.
