Jo Malone Wood Sage & Sea Salt Cologne | Review

Hi Guys!

When a friend offered to give me her Jo Malone Wood Sage & Sea Salt perfume, I was like, what? How? Why? This hasn’t actually been released yet so I’m over the moon she gave me her bottle! Talk about the best treat ever!! I have a complete Jo Malone obsession now, with my collection now containing five perfumes, whereas a couple of months ago I had none. Jo Malone products are of the highest quialiy around, which is dually matched by their customer care. Which reminds me that I’ve actually just received a hand written note from their Jarrolds concession in the post, thanking me for my latest purchases, how lovely is that!

Anyway I digress! On the this amazing new fragrance! Wood Sage & Sea Salt Cologne is Jo Malone’s latest offering, it’s described as a combination of fresh air, sea spray and woody notes that capture the scent of the English coast. I love that this fragrance is so different, it does’t fit into any of the traditional categories at all – it’s not floral, it’s not citrus and it’s not oriental… I have to say though, when I first tried this I wasn’t too sure what to think, maybe this is just because it’s quite a different fragrance to what I’m used to. Once it had dried down though I absolutely loved it! It has such a beautiful fresh scent that captures the spirit of the summer perfectly, evoking feelings of pleasure, freedom and escape into nature, I was taken straight to the sea side!

Master Perfumer, Christine Nagel, describes the scent: ‘For me, this fragrance is different. The sea air mixes with salty spray and the mineral texture of sand and rock. Like the scent of driftwood, it has a natural and fresh sophistication. A complex combination of wood and the sea is at its core. The feeling is of free-spirited liberty and joy.’

I love that Jo Malone fragrances can be matched and paired to complement each other – Jo Malone recommends Wood Sage & Sea Salt can be mixed with Lime Basil & Mandarin or Nectarine Blossom & Honey eau de cologne. I have once of these fragrances so I’m excited to try them together!

Wood Sage & Sea Salt will be available in September, and the range will include the fragrance, a hand & body wash, body creme and candle.

I’d love to hear if you’ve tried any Jo Malone fragrances? I hope you enjoyed my post xxx
