L’Oreal have just sent over the most wonderful package of goodies, promising to get me #FestivalReady this summer! I’m not actually going to any festivals – but I won’t let that stop me from rocking this awesome floral headband and amazing holo raincoat though! 🙂
The Mega Volume Miss Hippie Mascara is one of L’Oreal’s latest releases – it has a large and fuzzy brush with ‘kaleidoscopic bristles’ to coat your lashes, layer by layer, for a feathery lash look. The mega impact formula promises to instantly volumise and thicken the look of your lashes for a festival-ready look this summer…
On initial look at the brush, I though the Miss Hippie Mascara would definitely suit someone with longer lashes – just because the brush is on the large side, and because I have short stumpy lashes, I often find a large brush can be difficult to apply mascara with. Well I was quite surprised that I actually really liked this brush! I think it’s a really nice length, and the bristles themselves are on the shorter side, so maybe this is why it worked well for me.
I’ve tried both the standard and waterproof versions and I have to say they really seem quite different. The standard Miss Hippie was definitely my favourite, the formula was a really nice consistency, coated my lashes well and didn’t clump up on application. I felt like the waterproof formula was harder to apply on my short lashes (and managed to make a mess around my eye) – it seemed a bit wetter and heavier, and gave a slightly more intense look.
Both mascaras gave really good volume as well as length, and slight curl to my poker straight lashes. They both lasted all day with no flaking, and no problems whatsoever!
Overall I really like both products, and the standard Miss Hippie is now my new go-to mascara 🙂
You can see I also have a selection of L’Oreal Paris Nude Magique Cushion Foundations and as well as a L’Oreal Paris Glam Bronze Healthy Glow compact too, which I’ll be trying out, swatching and reviewing for you very very shortly 🙂
I hope you enjoyed my post xxx
