Hello friends! It’s been a while. I’ve been having some time off recently due to various health issues, and an unfortunate side effect of this is I really haven’t been looking after my skin – my skincare regime has pretty much gone out the window, and my complexion has been visibly suffering! Luckily for me though, Very recently got in touch and asked me to try a couple of their skincare products, which really was perfect timing. (Side note, did you know Very stock a massive range of makeup and skincare? Including some fab brands such as Elemis, Emma Hardie, Murad, Trilogy and more?) So I thought I’d share with you today all the fab products I’ve recently been using, in my Autumn Skincare Shakeup…Let’s start at the beginning with the Emma Hardie Moringa Cleansing Balm (£47/100ml). This is not a new product to me, I’ve used it in the past quite a while ago now, and it’s definitely an old favourite. I was incredibly grateful for Very sending over a brand new tub – this stuff is fantastic!

If you haven’t tried this cleansing balm, you’re really missing out – it smells amazing, with a super thick and luxurious texture, and it easily removes dirt and makeup, whilst deeply cleansing pores and intensely hydrating the skin. It contains Moringa Seed Extract, Wild Sea Fennel, Vitamin E, and essential oils of Orange, Neroli, Mandarin, Jasmine and Rose. After using this my dry skin feels so soft and nourished, I love it! (Also, I haven’t shown it here, but in the box there’s also an Emma Hardie Dual-Action Professional Cleansing Cloth, which goes perfectly with the balm)Another old favourite I’ve recently rediscovered is the Transformulas Flawless Photoglow SPF30+ (£55/50ml) This moisturiser is perfect for every day use – it’s lightweight on the skin, and has a barely-there scent. It’s described as an intensive anti-ageing treatment that restores radiance, hydrates, and rejuvenates skin with SPF30+ protection.

What I love about this is you can instantly see the difference it makes to your skin – my complexion really does look instantly brighter after I’ve applied this moisturiser. It also includes Squalene, an intensive moisturiser to smooth and soften skin, and LPD multi-vitamin A, C, D & F, to regenerate skin cells, reducing lines and wrinkles. With regular daily use this is also supposed to minimalise fine lines and wrinkles – I can’t say I’ve noticed this yet, but I do love how it makes my skin feel.A product I’ve just recently started using is the Elemis Dynamic Resurfacing Serum (£89/30ml) Another big shout out to Very for sending this over! The Elemis Dynamic Resurfacing Serum uses Tri-Enzyme technology to gently resurface the top layers of the skin, Selastin to help reduce the appearance of pores, and Vitamin C and Amino Acids to help even out skin tone without upsetting the skin’s pH balance.

I haven’t been using this for long, but I can tell you this luxurious serum has already had an effect – my complexion is already looking slightly more even and smoothed out, and I’m sure my problem-area pores (around my nose) are looking a bit smaller too – result!I’ve also started enjoying the L’Occitane Immortelle Divine Eye & Lips Contour (£55/15ml) This product utilises Immortelle Super Extract, which is a 100% natural alternative to Retinol, to visibly correct signs of ageing around the eyes and lips. Used on a daily basis, this anti-ageing fluid promises to help regenerate the skin, whilst working on crow’s-feet lines, toning the skin around the eyes, and smoothing out puffiness and dark circles.

I don’t think I’ve used this enough yet to see any specific results, but so far my eye area is definitely feeling more hydrated, and my under-eye bags don’t seem quite as noticeable. I’ve high hopes for this product moving forward!Last but not least, I’ve had a pot of Murad Retinol Youth Renewal Night Cream (£70/50ml) for a while now, but just never got round to using it. The Murad Retinol Youth Renewal Night Cream promises to rejuvenate skin while you sleep, reducing the appearance of lines and wrinkles, and boosting skin’s elasticity, so you wake up with a more youthful complexion. It uses Retinol Tri-Active technology, to help minimise the appearance of lines and wrinkles for a smoother, more refined texture.

My skin can be sensitive, so I’m definitely cautious about using retinol. This night cream is on the milder side though, and Murad advises it’s fine to use on all skin types, so I think it’s a good choice for me. I’ve used this a couple of times now, with no negative side effects, so I’m going to gradually up my usage. When I wake up the morning after using this cream I can noticeably see a difference in my complexion – my skin looks and feels incredibly soft and nourished. I’m looking forward to trying this some more, and hopefully seeing even better results!
