Five Things I’m Enjoying Right Now
4 March, 2022
Hello friends! I’m in the middle of trying to sort out my office and generally organise my life and thought I’d gather together a few bits and bobs to share with you that I’ve been enjoying recently. Let me know if you’ve tried any of these!
First up, I have to tell you about Astley Clarke, they have some of the prettiest locket necklaces I’ve ever seen. They kindly sent me over this gorgeous Deco White Sapphire Cosmos Locket in yellow gold vermeil – it’s incredibly dainty and pretty (just over 1cm high) and I love the unusual hexagonal shape. It’s decorated with a border of white sapphires that twinkle beautifully when they catch the light. I just need to get a picture of my husband and son resized to fit!
Another thing I’ve been loving recently is Mini Beauty Samples – I have a million and one beauty samples dotted around my house, and I love picking them up and trying them out when the mood takes me.
My number one at the moment is the Lancome Idol Ultra Precise Waterproof Eyeliner. This is the best liquid eyeliner I’ve used in a very long time! I wore this recently when I went out for a meal (our first time going out in forever) and it was easy to use with its super fine tip, and didn’t budge all evening. My eyes can get watery when I put makeup on and I usually start to get smudging in the inner corners pretty quickly, but not with this eyeliner! I really was incredibly impressed with this. I’ve also included a couple of items from Liberty London’s Beauty Drop that I’m looking forward to trying next.
My lips have been so dry and flaky and sore this winter, I also got into a bad habit of picking them too which didn’t help. The Huda Beauty Silk Balm Rose Quartz has been my saviour these past few weeks – I love how it gives the lips a soft pearlescent finish whilst hydrating and plumping. It has a slightly tacky finish which I don’t mind at all, I feel like this has really helped improve the texture of my lips.
I don’t really talk about hair products very often, but I have an absolute ton of hair treats stored away in my bathroom, which I mostly just use at random, picking out something new when the last one runs out. My latest gem of a discovery is the L’Oréal Professionnel Serie Expert Nutrifier Conditioner. This conditioner smells absolutely heavenly, it’s probably the best scented hair product I’ve ever used. It’s specially made for dry hair, and provides intense moisture without weighing the hair down. My hair is’t dry, but it is super fine and sometimes conditioners can feel heavy, but this one is just spot on, it also makes my hair feel so silky and smooth. I’ve nearly finished this bottle now so I’ll be stocking up on more soon.
And lastly I’ve also recently been enjoying the Oskia Super 16 Pro Collagen Serum. I’m not overly familiar with Oskia products, but I received this in the Face The Future All About You Skincare Box at Christmas time and I notice this is quite a high value product so I thought I’d see if it lives up to it’s price.
This serum has been formulated with a blend of 16 super nutrients and bio-actives to target multiple ageing concerns, it aims to reverse visible signs of ageing, prevent future damage and improve problematic skin, whilst boosting natural collagen production, detoxifying and hydrating the complexion. I can’t say I’ve noticed any visible differences but I’ve only recently started using this, so I’m not expecting to see results just yet. However, I love how this makes my skin feel super hydrated and nourished – I’m definitely going to continue using this.
