My Top 7 Skincare Brands for 2024
19 February, 2024
With hundreds of skincare products and brands on the market, building the perfect skincare routine can feel overwhelming. As a skincare fanatic, I’ve tried tons of different products over the years and have really quite high standards when it comes to my routine. While many products are great, I can usually find one or two flaws that knock them down a mark.
However, the brands featured here have products that are really fantastic — at least, they are in my book! As someone obsessed with doing what I can for healthy, glowing skin, I think these would make a fantastic addition to anyone’s skincare lineup. Read on for my top seven holy grail skincare brand recommendations to help take your skin to the next level.
1. Fresh
I absolutely love Fresh skincare! Their unique approach combines potent natural ingredients with innovative technology to create products that genuinely transform your skin. My favourite face moisturizer from Fresh is their Lotus Youth Preserve Moisturiser — a dream for dry skin.
Infused with super-nourishing lotus flower extract, it leaves my skin ridiculously soft and dewy. I tell everyone it’s like a big hydrating hug for your face. But what makes Fresh such a unique brand is their commitment to natural extracts and antioxidants that nourish your skin on a deeper level – I love this.
2. The Inkey List
For affordable, no-fuss skincare that really works, The Inkey List is my top pick. Their products use straightforward, proven ingredients that even dermatologists recommend. Their new Bio Active Ceramide Moisturiser is a fantastic product to defend against visible signs of skin ageing. Don’t just listen to me though, Refinery 29 have a fantastic article on bio-active ceramides that’s really worth checking out.
And you can’t beat the value of The Inkey List products! I also love their Hyaluronic Acid serum, especially in winter when my skin needs extra hydration. A little goes a long way, and my face feels refreshed and renewed afterward.
3. Caudalie
If there’s one thing the Caudalie brand is known for, it’s harnessing the anti-aging and nourishing properties of grapes and vinotherapy. Grapes are known to have bioactive compounds that offer antioxidant and anti-inflammatory benefits. Caudalie’s premier Cru Anti-Aging Face Cream is like a tall glass of vino for your skin — it improves tone and elasticity so your face looks firmer and more radiant.
It contains their signature grape seed extract along with smoothing hyaluronic acid. I’m also a big fan of their Beauty Elixir—just a few spritzes of this refreshing mist instantly boosts hydration and makes skin feel brighter.
4. Anua
I started getting into K-Beauty skincare towards the end of last year, and fell in love with the Anua’s Heartleaf Toner. The award winning Anua Heartleaf 77% Soothing Toner is perfect for those looking for soothing relief for sensitive and irritated skin. This toner is also fantastic in balancing natural oil and moisture levels for those with acne issues or excess sebum. It’s also perfect for strengthening the skin’s barrier.
Heartleaf really is an amazing skincare ingredient. It can also be found in the Anua Pore Control Cleansing Oil which I’ve been enjoying too. Anua is definitely a brand that should be on your radar this year!
5. Elemis
Want to treat your skin like royalty? Try one of Elemis’ spa-quality products. Their Pro-Collagen Cleansing Balm is such a beautifully luxurious cleansing balm that I keep going back to. I use it to gently remove makeup and grime, leaving my skin feeling clean, nourished, and glowing. Once you try this, you’ll never go back!
Another one of their bestsellers that I recommend is the Superfood Facial Oil. This is nutrient-rich facial oil that feeds your skin with 9 antioxidant-rich Superfoods to reveal a healthy-looking glow. A little of this award winning oil is enough to saturate and help to regenerate the skin, leaving you with a radiant and glowing complexion.
6. Heimish
Another affordable K-Beauty brand I discovered last year is Heimish. Their All Clean Balm in Mandarin is an amazing balm that turns into a milky oil on the face, and it does a fantastic job of removing makeup and cleansing the skin. I love how this leave my skin feeling super smooth and soft.
I also love their Bulgarian Rosewater Hydrogel Eye Patches – I’ve been keep these in the fridge and they’ve been doing wonders for my under-eye bags, they’re so hydrating and soothing.
7. The Body Shop
I feel like The Body Shop can often be overlooked sometimes, but they really do have some fantastic skincare and bodycare products. Their Vitamin E line is a classic, as well as the Hemp collection, and pretty much everyone I know has used their Camomile Cleansing Balm.
However the Edelweiss Bouncy Sleeping Mask I’ve been using recently really is fantastic. You only need a small amount, applied at bed time. It soaks in really nicely over night, so you wake up with beautifully soft and supple skin in the morning. My complexion has never looked fresher!
