Must Try New 2024 Fragrance Launches
28 February, 2024
There are so many amazing new fragrance launches at the moment, I’ve gathered together some of my favourites to share with you today – enjoy!
Cheirosa 59 is the latest much anticipated launch from Sol de Janeiro, and I love it!
Sol de Janeiro’s Cheirosa ’59 Perfume Mist is inspired by the year 1959, when singer João Gilberto released first-credited bossa nova album, Chega de Saudade (aka No More Blues).
This is a beautifully gourmand, woody vanilla scent that envelops you like the warmth of a glowing sunset. Including sweet and creamy notes of velvet plum, sugared violet and vanilla orchid, there’s also whipped amber, sheer sandalwood and fresh vetiver, resulting in a wonderfully warm and sensual fragrance. This is easily one of my favourite scents from Sol de Janeiro!
- Notes include: Velvet Plum, Sugared Violet, Vanilla Orchid, Amber, Vetiver and Sandalwood
The latest Moschino flanker is a fragrance perfect for citrus lovers! And how gorgeous is the iridescent oil-slick bottle!?
Toy 2 Pearl opens with a citrus burst of lemon, lemon sorbet and oregano, the citrus notes are fresh and smooth, there’s no sharpness here. The heart includes floral notes of jasmine and freesia, along with sand… yes I said sand! It definitely has a slight salty, aquatic, airy aroma coming through in the heart, and the base includes vetiver, cypress and musk, for a soft, woody dry down.
Overall, Toy 2 Pearl is sweet and lemony, aromatic, and slightly herbal, and completely unisex – it’s the perfect addition to Moschino’s Toy fragrance range!
- Top Notes: Scent of Lemon Sorbet, LMR Lemon Heart & Oregano
- Heart Notes: Jasmine, Sand, LMR Vetiver Essence & Freesia
- Base Notes: LMR Upcycled Cypress & Sinfonide (musk)
I’ve recently found a love for fig fragrances, and Granada’s Figo is just beautiful!
Figo is a beautiful green, woody scent, opening with a hit of spicy black pepper, blended with cardamom and juicy orange. Green fig leaf blends with violet and creamy cedar, finishing the scent with a refined woody base of smooth sandalwood, warm amber and guaiac wood. Overall Figo Cologne is uplifting, bright and fresh, but with a smooth creamy base in the dry down. This is a must try for lovers of fig fragrances!
- Top Notes: Cardamom, Orange & Black Pepper
- Heart Notes: Fig Leaf, Violet & Cedar
- Base Notes: Sandalwood, Guaiac Wood & Amber
As soon as I heard about Eden Sparkling Lychee, I had a feeling it was going to be a fantastic scent. Eden Juicy Apple which launched a couple of years ago is one of my favourite Kayali fragrances, and as this is in the same collection, I had high hopes!
Luckily I wasn’t disappointed. Eden Sparkling Lychee is a bright, refreshing and radiant fruity floral. Opening with mouth-watering fruity notes of juicy blackcurrant, sparkling lychee and zesty lemon, the fragrance is instantly joyful and uplifting. The heart includes a bouquet of rose damescena and jasmine sambac blended with sweet candied violet, leading to a warm dry down of sugared amber, sweet vanilla and sensual musk.
Eden Sparkling Lychee is the perfect mood-boosting scent for those that love fun, fruity fragrances!
- Top Notes: Blackcurrant, Sparkling Lychee, Italian Lemon
- Heart Notes: Rose Damascena, Candied Violet, Jasmine Sambac
- Base Notes: Sugared Amber, Cedarwood, Musk, Vanilla Absolute, Sandalwood
Marc Jacobs have just launched their latest trio of limited edition Daisy fragrances – the Daisy Pop collection includes vibrant interpretations of the classic Daisy scents, both gourmand and original, the ingredients capture the invigorating spirit of the brand – bright, bold and fun.
Out of the three scents in the collection, Daisy Pop is a citrus floral, Daisy Eau so Fresh Pop is a fruity floral and Daisy Love Pop is a woody gourmand – Daisy Love Pop is my favourite, and an absolute must try!
Daisy Love Pop is a woody gourmand scent with emphasis on pistachio, described as a delicious, airy, and fresh fragrance. It opens with the bright notes of cloudberry and bergamot, leading into a heart of green pistachio and chantilly cream, with sorbettolide and benzoin adding depth at the base. This one has a beautiful caramel element which I love!
- Top Notes: Cloudberry, Raspberry & Bergamot Accords
- Heart Notes: Pistachio, Chantilly & Daisy Tree Petal Accords
- Base Nots: Sorbettolide, Benzoin & Driftwood Accord
The latest Billie Eilish fragrance has finally hit the UK, and of course I had to snap one up!
Eilish 3 is somehow not what I was expecting, but this fragrance also makes complete sense finalising the Eilish scent trilogy. I have a feeling I’d heard a while ago that this was a cherry based scent – and it absolutely isn’t.
This is a fragrance that opens feeling airy, spicy and fresh, opening with grapefruit, pink peppercorn and jasmine, leading to a heart of saffron and fir needle blended with creamy cedar. The base includes earthy oakmoss, velvety amber and skin musk, leaving you with a dry down that still feels airy and light, but also warm and creamy with a distinct pine tree note. This is very much a unisex scent, and I think this fragrance is absolutely beautiful!
You can read my thoughts on the previous two Billie Eilish scents here.
- Top Notes: Grapefruit, Pink Peppercorn & Jasmines
- Heart Notes: Saffron, Fir Needle & Cedar
- Base Notes: Amber, Oakmoss & Skin Musk
Valentino Donna Born in Roma Green Stravaganza
The latest launch from Valentino really caught my eye with its striking green colour!
Born in Roma Green Stravaganza ‘takes you on a bold adventure to the cool gardens of Roma where you are free to live and express your unique ways.’ This floral-ambery woody fragrance opens with a note of lightly smoky tea leaves; Lapsang Souchong tea accord is truly enticing, sweet and addictive. The radiant jasmine absolute at the heart blends in perfectly, leading to a beautifully sweet dry down of warm vanilla extract at the base.
This scent is nothing like the previous Born in Roma line, and it’s probably my favourite. It’s warm, sweet, and slightly unusual, but still very easy to wear. This is absolutely a must try perfume!
- Top Notes: Lapsang Souchong tea accord
- Heart Notes: Jasmine Absolute
- Base Notes: Vanilla Extract
Lancome La Vie Est Belle Rose Extraordinaire
The latest flanker in the Lancome La Vie Est Belle line has just arrived, and it’s a must for fans of rose scents!
La Vie Est Belle Rose Extraordinaire is a bright, modern rose scent, opening with notes of sparkling bergamot, green stems and orange. The opening feels sharp and bright, and the rose notes come through straight away. The sharpness soon dissipates leaving the huge rose bouquet of rose water, rose damascene absolute, space rose, and a hint of iris. The base on this scent is really beautiful too, leaving a warm, woody, musky trail.
- Top Notes: Bergamot, Green Stems & Orange
- Heart Notes: Rose Water, Damascena Absolue, Space Rose Accord & Iris
- Base Notes: Ambroxan, Musk, Moss, Sandalwood & Woody Notes
And finally, Coach Love. Coach Love is inspired by the vibrant and universal feeling of love and all of the unique ways we express it. Coach’s latest fragrance launch is super fun, sweet and vibrant. This fruity floral scent opens with a burst of the juiciest, sweetest note of wild strawberry, the heart includes velvety, sweet and rich, red rose petals, leading to a base of warm cedarwood. This is a scent that’s perfect for those that love strawberry notes, and youthful, sweet scents – gorgeous!
- Top Notes: Wild Strawberry
- Heart Notes: Red Rose
- Base Notes: Cedarwood
