Fashion: Michael Kors Sunglasses at SmartBuyGlasses

Posted on March 29, 2017

Hi Guys!

Spring is now in the air, the nights are getting lighter and summer is fast approaching (at last!) – and I’m already starting to think about my summer wardrobe. When it comes to fashion I’m more of an accessories girl, I love adding new accessories to older outfits so I can recycle them and¬†spruce them up for the new season, so when SmarybuyGlasses got in touch and offered to send me a pair of their designer sunglasses to try out and show you guys, of course I jumped at the chance!

If you haven’t heard of SmartBuyGlasses, they’re basically your one stop shop for affordable designer eyeware, and they stock¬†some amazing brands such as Dolce & Gabbana, Versace, Jimmy Choo and Tom Ford to name just a few. Take a look at their latest¬†gift guide¬†to check out some of SmartBuyGlasses’s favourite styles this season.

After looking over the site for a very long time, I eventually decided to go for the Michael Kors MK2009 Polarised Sunglasses. They have a cat eye shape (my favourite) in a¬†classic tortoiseshell brown frame which has an added touch of gold glitter¬†that looks so pretty when it catches the light, and they also have¬†brown gradient polarized lenses. I particularly wanted polarised lenses in order to prevent glare affecting my eyes when driving – I’ve worn these a couple of times now when driving in bright sunlight¬†and they really do the job! The frames also have a small gold chain effect detail on each arm, with a tiny gold¬†Michael Kors logo – I think this is¬†a lovely¬†subtle detail that gives the glasses a luxe feel.

These sunglasses retail for over £250, but SmartBuyGlasses are offering them for the reduced price of £188.95 Рwhich is of course still expensive, but definitely a great saving overall.

If you’re looking for some new designer sunglasses for the upcoming summer, SmartBuyGlasses always have¬†designer brands on sale¬†so I’d definitely recommend checking them out!

I hope you enjoyed my post xxx

Do You Fancy Designer Goods Without The Price Tag?

Posted on March 4, 2016

Hi Guys!

Happy Friday! I’ve got something a little bit different for you today –¬†If, like myself you’re a bit of a shopaholic with a taste for the finer things in life, this brand new site could be right up your street…

Love The Sales¬†is basically your one stop shop for luxury and high end sale bargains – the idea is that they’ve gathered together all the sale items across the internet – covering fashion, beauty, home, electronics and kids – so you don’t have to waste your time scouring over multiple sites trying to find the best deal. They have over 5000 top name brands for your perusal, including D&G, Alexander Wang, Georgio Armani and Clinique to name but a few.

I’ve been doing a spot of window shopping on Love the Sales over the last few days, and I love that this site is so easy to use. You sign up via email or Facebook, then you complete your profile by adding brands you’re interested in, as well as your clothing and shoe size (you can also select multiple sizes if you wish) Love The Sales then does all the hard work by picking out every single¬†product that’s relevant to you. This completely streamlines the shopping process – saving you both time and money.

The team behind Love The Sales have told me that shoes are their most popular item – and I’m not surprised at all! There are some serous savings to be had on this site; I spotted some gorgeous Kurt Geiger strappy heels that were originally ¬£70.00, down to only ¬£9.00! If only I could actually walk in heels I’d have snapped these up straight away! They actually have over 20,000 shoes to choose from on the site including amazing brands such as Kurt Geiger (one of my favourites, obviously) Michael Kors, DKNY and many more. I could literally spend hours browsing through them all!

I do also have a bit of a thing for handbags, and noticed a gorgeous Michael Kors Chevron Mini Messenger on the site – which I’ve had my eye on for a while. It’s an amazing bargain at ¬£99.00 which is almost¬†half price, and I’m so tempted to treat myself!

If you love a good bargain like I do, I recommend you check out Love The Sales, you won’t be disappointed! I hope you enjoyed my post xxx

A Little Christmas Catch Up

Posted on December 30, 2015

Hi Guys!

I hope you’ve all had a wonderful Christmas and Boxing Day? And my thoughts go out to those¬†affected by the terrible flooding too. We’ve been very lucky here in Norfolk, the weather has been quite mild over Christmas, but it’s been insanely windy over the last couple of days¬†with Storm Frank starting to move in. I really hope things start to calm down across the country soon.

We’re now in that weird place between Christmas and new year, where it’s not Christmas any more, but things definitely aren’t back to normal yet. The tree is still up, most of us are still off work, except for those poor people that work in retail – I feel for you guys at this time of year, and my good self too as I work in social media. I do have a few days booked off at the beginning of January though so I can get a much needed break.

I came across this on Facebook earlier from the hilarious¬†Hurrah for Gin¬†blog,¬†that I think perfectly sums up this¬†time for most of us. I’ve got to the point now where I’m actually looking forward to dieting, and I’ll have a post all about this in the next couple of days.

So, I hope Father Christmas treated you well this year? I received some lovely gifts including a bottle of Baileys, a massive bar of Lindt chocolate, fancy perfume and a shirt, and Fred has completely overrun the house with his new toys. This year it’s been all about Super Heroes, Lego and Star Wars. I spent the whole of Christmas Day afternoon putting Fred’s new lego sets together (like nearly 5 hours) only to have him instantly destroy them. Bless my little angel…

Also, I may have treated myself to this gorgeous¬†East West black shopper bag by Sophie Hulme, a few weeks before Christmas, as a little Crimbo present to myself. It was insanely cheap in the sale from Young British Designers, so I just couldn’t resist!

And I also picked up this cute little guy, who I’m calling Hugo ūüôā

In other news, I’ve seen quite a few¬†Twitter polls spring up recently, so I thought I’d hold my own the other day, to find out what sort of posts you guys would like to see on the blog. I was actually quite surprised with the results –

I genuinely thought beauty would come out on top, but nope, lifestyle it is! I’m always looking for feedback and constructive criticism, so please do let me know in the comments (or via twitter) what you like and don’t like about the blog, I’ll be taking it all into consideration in the new year when I start planning my blog posts moving forward.

And lastly don’t forget, you can win an INSANE amount of prizes in my latest giveaway, like ¬£1800 worth of awesome stuff. Check it out¬†here.

I’m looking forward to moving onwards and upwards with the blog in 2016, and I wish you all a fabulous new year! xxx

Two New Looks For Spring…

Posted on February 26, 2015

Hi Guys!

I absolutely love fashion, and I’m now trying to add more fashion type posts to my blog – the thing I’m having a problem with though is the fact that I can’t take photos of myself! I don’t have anyone around that can take photos for me, so I need to look into a remote for my camera, and get a tripod! (If anyone can recommend a remote, please let me know) In the mean time I quite like putting looks and outfits together – on my kitchen floor for the time being! ūüôā Here are a couple I’ve done with some of the awesome new things I’ve acquired lately, I’ve put together one casual look and one for evening!

I bought this lovely top in the F&F sale at Christmas, it was reduced to ¬£6 or something and I wear it all the time, it’s slightly baggy so it covers everything up and¬†I love the gold shoulder detail, it also has an exposed zip detail at the back. Wins all round!! I’m also obsessed with necklaces, and I love this pretty triangle stone necklace which I bought from Topshop ages ago, and I happened to recently stumble across¬†in a drawer so I haven’t actually¬†worn yet. For a toned down casual look I’ve¬†started to wear these gorgeous¬†Safari Boots¬†from Calzados Victoria – they have the softest furry lining and I definitely prefer wearing them folded down rather than laced up to the top for a more relaxed look. I’m also part of¬†Access All ASOS, they¬†set up a secret santa¬†blogger¬†gift swap at Christmas, where they gave everyone involved a ¬£15 voucher to spend on the site to buy gifts for someone else, what a lovely idea! Except my parcel never arrived ūüôĀ so they kindly gave me the voucher to buy something for myself, they’re good guys at ASOS! I treated myself to these awesome Cat Eye Sunglasses, a bargain at a tenner,¬†and the scarf in the below pic ūüôā The pink and blue scarf is also from ASOS a looong time ago.

And this is my going out look! I’m in love with these amazing¬†Cassie Cut out Ankle Boots¬†from Online Avenue, they literally tick all the boxes for me – gold details, cut outs and a platform, check, check and check, and they’re a¬†complete bargain at just over ¬£20 too!¬†I bought the¬†Pieces Jine Oversized Floral Scarf¬†from ASOS as it just has such a lovely pattern. I literally live in scarves most of the year! I also included this pretty¬†Crackle Stone & Rope Chain Necklace from¬†New Look¬†(sorry it’s not available any more) and¬†if you look closely you’ll see it’s missing a stone, arrgh!! I always manage to damage or break my necklaces!

And lastly, I had to include¬†my gorgeous new¬†Ingrid Medium Leather Bag¬†from Baginc, ahh I can’t get enough of it! It’s pretty much a spot on dupe for the Chanel Boy¬†which I’ve needed in my life and desperately lusted after for a long time now, but unfortunately my budget doesn’t quite fit with the ¬£2.6k price tag, ouch! The beautiful Ingrid bag is made of real leather and apart from the lack of branding, which I really¬†don’t mind (it also means it’s not a copy or fake) it’s SO similar to the Chanel. I think I can live without the designer version now, I can’t wait to take my Ingrid out!

I’d love to hear what you think of my two looks? And I promise I’ll have some full outfit posts coming up soon! xxx

The Dressing Room | Sale Preview

Posted on December 24, 2014

Hi Guys!

The Dressing Room has officially become one of my favourite stores this year, they sell a fantastic selection of designer names covering fashion, accessories, jewellery and shoes – and you may remember they recently sent me this beautiful and exclusive¬†Olivia Burton¬†watch, which I’m completely in love with! Now they’re gearing up for their massive Christmas sale, and I’ve got a few of my favourite sale pieces to show you!

Welcome to The Dressing Room Sale Preview!

First up I have these beautiful Feeling Good Suede Boots by ASH, originally £169 these will be reduced to £84 in the sale Рthis is an amazing 50% off!

The Feeling Good Suede¬†ankle boots are made from¬†a¬†beautifully soft¬†taupe suede and feature a round toe, elastic side panels and chunky block heel. These would be the perfect chic addition to a day outfit. I’d wear them with a cream chunky jumper and plenty of luxe accessories.

Next is the gorgeous Henriette Bracelet by Lola Rose, this was originally £88 and will be reduced to  £44 in the sale- this is 50% off again!

The Henriette bracelet by¬†Lola Rose¬†is a narrow bangle designed in a gold tone brass, embellished with 5 square Blue Sandstone semi precious stones that have a beautiful glitter finish. I’m officially in love with this bracelet,¬†Lola Rose, to me,¬†conjured up images of chunky bracelets and faceted hearts, which aren’t really my thing, but with it’s gold tone finish and glittery sandstones, this bracelet is my style to a T!

And look, I have the matching Lyra Necklace too! Of course also by Lola Rose, this was originally £75 and will be reduced to £37 in the sale Рwhich is over £50% off this time, amazing!

The Lyra necklace is pretty and delicate, it has a fine gold tone brass chain, featuring a horizontal row of 5 square Blue Sandstones set  in a pendant. The necklace has a lobster clasp and an extension chain up to 5 cm, to make the necklace a little longer if you wish. The Henriette bracelet plus the Lyra necklace plus a LBD equals my Christmas party outfit sorted! These Lola Rose pieces really are simply stunning, understated and chic Рcan you tell I like them!?

The Dressing Room’s amazing sale starts online on Christmas Day and in store on 27th December – the first 20 customers through the door will also receive an extra 10% off too! Happy shopping! xxx

Bonjour HK Beauty Products – 4 Mini Reviews

Posted on November 28, 2014

Hi Guys!

Today I have an interesting selection of products to show you from Bonjour HK, a Hong Kong based beauty store. It appears to be similar to Boots or Lookfantastic, offering a massive range of over 24,000 beauty and healthcare products covering skincare, make-up, fragrances, healthcare, hair care, personal care and accessories. I literally have no experience with foreign cosmetics so I was really excited when they offered to send me a selection of their products to review!

First up we have the¬†Morningveil MasCream¬†($23.18) Now I’ve dropped you in at the deep end here, this is definitely the strangest product of the bunch – mainly¬†because the main ingredient in this product is eggshell membranes. I think it’s the word MEMBRANES that makes me feel a bit squeamish…

Morning Veil Revital MasCream combines both a mask and cream (the clue’s in the name) in one to keep the skin moist while gently exfoliating the skin. The concept of this cream comes from the eggshell membrane, which is an egg-cellent skin-healer (sorry I couldn’t resist!) Eggshell membrane is rich in glucosamine, chondroitin, collagen and hyaluronic acid. It also contains patented gigawhite, organic argan, acai oil, and sap complex from bamboo & birch to make your complexion brighter and clearer.

So basically this is an overnight mask – and it isn’t eggy at all! It has a pleasant scent, and quite a¬†fantastic light¬†texture. You basically apply a thick layer to the face before bed, then just peel and wash off in the morning. I’ve used this a few times now and learned to apply a while before I go to bed to let the product dry a bit. It didn’t totally dry but was definitely better than going to bed with wet product on my face! When you wake up in the morning you just wash and peel the mask off and you’re left with super soft skin and a refreshed complexion. And it really works! This stuff is like magic!!

Next up is the Ciracle Pimple Solution Pink Powder ($28.21) I love the word pimple! Ha ha!

This product is described as ‘The best pimple treatment¬†that will stop wasted time searching for¬†a treatment that works’ – big claims there!¬†Ciracle‚Äôs Pimple Solution Pink Powder Treatment is supposed¬†to¬†relieve acne pimple spots and reduce the appearance of acne scars. It contains effective ingredients to treat your troubled skin gently.

You simply dab the pink solution onto troubled spots,¬†and let Ciracle do the the work. It should do it’s thing within a week, to reveal clearer, smoother looking skin. It’s also handy to know the solution is safe for both the face and the body and suitable for sensitive skin like mine.

Basically you use a cotton bud to dip into the pink powder – the product separates leaving the powder to settle at the bottom half of the bottle, but the instructions say not to shake or mix up the separated ingredients. You then dab onto your spots on cleansed skin before bed, and leave to dry and wash off in the morning.

I don’t really have spotty skin, but one little critter did pop up just after I received this product so I jumped on the opportunity to try the Pink Powder out! I followed he instructions and after a few days my new friend had all but disappeared. Would it have gone that quickly it’s own? I’m not sure. I do think the Pink Powder made it disappear faster!

Next is the¬†Dr Bauer Ionic Eye Wrinkle Ironer¬†($36.71)¬†This interesting looking gadget aims to ‘iron’ out wrinkles and erase signs of ageing by using heat and ionic vibration.

Its 40-45 ‚ĄÉ heating effectively promotes blood and lymphatic circulation to revitalize skin nerves for firming purpose, helping reduce dark circles and fine lines. Active ionic vibrations relieve and ease skin tension, delivering nutrients deep into derma. Make your skin experience the firmness and relaxation effectively.

To use, you apply small amount of¬†skincare product (basically whichever moisturiser you’re currently using) around you eyes and mouth area, and the device works automatically once the massage head and moisture on the skin contact. You then gently massage over the area (three times for each area) to improve the appearance of your skin.

Luckily I don’t have any wrinkles yet but I do suffer with puffy eye bags and dark circles. I’ve used the ironer a few times now and am yet to see any results. Maybe it requires more long term usage – I’ll keep you posted!

And lastly the¬†EOS Nourish Hand Lotion¬†($5.22)¬†I’m a big fan of EOS lip balms so I was excited to try their hand cream out!

EOS Nourish Hand Lotion is lightweight, fast absorbing and non greasy. It is designed to fit in your purse, your pocket, or on your desk, and looks as good as it feels on your skin. Infused with moisturizing shea butter, oat extract, and a generous helping of antioxidants and vitamin C and E, EOS will leave your skin feeling soft, supple and radiantly healthy long after you apply it.

I love the ergonomic shape and colour of the packaging, and the hand cream itself is one of the best I’ve tried yet. With a lovely scent, it’s definitely fast absorbing¬†and leaves my hands feeling super soft and supple, it ticks all the right boxes for me. This is definitely a must buy for the winter months!

Well if you’ve made it this far, well done!¬†I hope you enjoyed my mini reviews and I’d love to hear your thoughts!

A Pretty Winter Pastel Outfit with Wal-G!

Posted on November 1, 2014

Hi Guys!

I was recently sent this pretty Hermoine Drape Cardigan¬†from Wal-G at E-tailPR. It’s in a lovely duck egg blue and I thought it would look great as the basis for a pastel themed outfit! I’ve teamed it with an unbranded peach mini dress with gold sequinned peter pan collar and a few accessories! For the life of me I can’t remember where this frock came from, and there’s no label so it really is a mystery! Because the dress has a statement collar I decided not to add any jewellery to the look otherwise it may have been a bit OTT ūüôā

I teamed the outfit with a clutch that I haven’t actually used yet but I love it, its from & Other Stories, it’s made of silk and has an awesome blurry digital print. I also added my favourite Topshop pointed flats in a bright coral, my Anastasia Beverley Hills Maya Mia Eyeshadow Palette – which I can’t get enough of at the moment, and a selection of pastel nail shades from OPI, Model’s Own and Essie.

I love that the Maya Mia palette comes with some ‘get the look’ cards, so you can copy them exactly or take inspiration if you wish. I’m looking forward to experimenting with this palette as soon as I get a chance!

I know this outfit is quite colourful but it somehow still seems to be a bit wintery to me, I don’t know, maybe it’s the cardigan cover up? Let me know what you think! I hope you enjoyed my post! xxx

Mystical Cats Outer Space Outfit feat Spiral Bags

Posted on October 1, 2014

Hi Guys!

I thought I’d put a little look together today to show you some of my favourite outfit type things at the moment! ūüôā As much as I am starting to embrace more autumnal hues, I still can’t get enough of brights, holos and crazy prints, so, first up has to be my¬†Mystical Cat Dress¬†from ASOS. HOW AWESOME IS THIS? I was originally looking for something to wear to the Bloggers Love event, and literally had no idea what I wanted when I stumbled upon this amazing cat print dress in the ASOS sale. It was reduced from ¬£22¬†to ¬£15, and clearly it was made for me, so I thought it was worth a punt! When it arrived I fell in love! It’s just a simple stretchy body-con style dress but I just loved the print so much, mystical cats should be compulsory for everybody. The only thing I found though was the neck was a bit low and there was way too much boob on display, so I got my good old mum to adjust it for me, yay!

To add to the galaxy theme – there can never be enough galaxy – I teamed my frock with an awesome¬†Galaxy Saturn Backpack*¬†from¬†Spiral Bags. If you haven’t heard of Spiral they are¬†pretty new to the accessories market, offering some awesome alternative print bags. My favourite has to be galaxy (obv), which comes in a variety of colours. Spiral have other styles of bags and a few more accessories too so make sure you take a look at their site if that’s your kinda thing!

To accessorise, what would an outfit of mine be without a holographic shoe?? The erm, fifth pair of holo shoes to my collection are the¬†New Look¬†Koinery Irredescent Flats, again from ASOS. These babies were only ¬£12.99 (plus I had a 10% off code too, bonus!) and are super comfy to wear. I love nothing more than wearing them in the sunshine to dazzle and blind passers by… ha ha!

For jewellery I went with my Cooee neon green¬†Nut Cuff. Cooee are a brand I discovered a few years ago, they’re a Scandanavian¬†company that offer amazing luxe perspex jewellery – check out their site and you’ll see what I mean ūüôā

I’d added nail polishes in I’m Addicted (turquoise) and Sittin’ Pretty (purple) by Essie, and Sun Hat (pink) by Models Own to complement the look. The spiky necklace, headband and bracelet, all pretty old and from Topshop.

Ok I know some people might think this look is a bit much, but it really is my style to a T! I’m a firm believer that fashion should be fun, and should be experimented with!

As ever, lemme know what you think – do you like? Or is this just toooo much galaxy for you?? ūüėČ xxx
