‘Nun’ is named after the oldest of the ancient Egyptian Gods, and the name means ‘primeval waters’. According to legend, this water gave birth to the lotus flower, and while blossoming, the flower revealed the Sun God, Atum, the God of rebirth.

Mirroring this ancient legend, Laboratorio Olfattivo’s ‘Nun’ refers to the water from which the lotus flower arises and blossoms in the sun.

Nun opens with sparkling sweet citrus notes of Bergamot, Neroli and fruity pear. The heart is a bouquet of flowering lotus, jasmine and ylang-ylang, leading to a base of warm woods, amber and musk. The Lotus and Pear notes are quite intense at first, but soon evolve to a lovely soft, sweet, floral dry down. This is a beautifully put together fragrance, not quite like anything I’ve tried before.
