There’s no doubt that MAC has stood the test of time where a plethora of makeup brands have come and gone, and one of their most loved, classic products has finally been given a revamp.

MAC’s classic matte lipsticks are no more, now the collection has been reformulated and revamped for 2024, promising more colour, more comfort and more wear.

I must admit, as a long term fan of MAC lipsticks, their matte lipstick formula was one I struggled to get along with. As someone with chronically dry lips, I found the Matte formulas to be just too drying to wear often. Pigmentation was fantastic, but the way it made my lips feel just wasn’t my favourite.

So I’m pleased to hear that MAC have reformulated this collection – but are the MACximal Silky Matte Lipsticks any good?
